Mission Tejas State Park, Weches, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

I've only gone fishing there, and I won't camp there in a camper much less a tent on account I didn't like how the sites look. The campground wasn't well kept the last time I was there. Most areas are unlevel, from camp sites to everywhere else. There's 1 pond for fishing. It needed cleaning the last time I was there. Yet I must admit that the campground is well shaded for the most part. It does have hiking trails, and there's a pavilion for get togethers. We camped at Mission Tejas State Park in a Tent.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a town called Alto in which is just over 12 miles away. There's also Crockett, 21 to 22 miles away, so you might want to have food with you, if you stay there.

Mousetail Landing State Park, Linden, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The park rangers were very friendly respectful, and very easy to get along with. There were good and friendly campers close by. There was a very small amount of trash left by the last campers, but no problem there. The campground is the largest and nicest I've been to. There's a lake for swimming and fishing. There's playgrounds for children to play in. There's daily hikes the rangers take campers on to teach them different things about the plants and animals and fire starting. There's also boating, fishing, geocaching, golfing, hiking, swimming, horseback riding. I found the campground very peacefull and easy going. We camped at Mousetail Landing State Park in a Tent.

Ratcliff Lake, Kennard, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Campground wasn't in top notch shape for campgrounds, but yet, better than I expected since the reopening of it since the drought and tornado. I was impressed with the restrooms/showers on account of I didn't expect them to be that good. The folks working there are friendly and respectful. I do plan on another camping trip. Don't know when yet, but the campout will be there. We camped at Ratcliff Lake in a Tent.
