Wine Country RV Resort, Paso Robles, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The park is part of Sun Country Resorts which are usually very nice and this park did not disappoint. The sites are concrete and most were very level. The facilities are very clean and very nice. The showers were clean and large. Each had a dressing area for each shower. A lot of activities. Their wi-fi was not working. The lady said it had been out for 6 days. The cable TV worked well. All phone service was good. The sites are close together but the park was not full, so we didn't have anyone on either side. Would stay here again. The inside roads were a little narrow but not bad. We camped at Wine Country RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is in the heart of wine country. The park even offers a wine tour that includes food, driver, and tastings at 5 different wineries. If you want to skip all the traffic in Napa, come here!

Pie Town RV Park, Pie Town, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is an easy in/easy out park which is great for an overnight stay. The sites are all gravel and they are fairly level but not totally level. We had to use several blocks under our landing gear. The owners are super friendly and helpful. There was very spotty wi-fi. The owners are trying to get it worked out but they have a ways to go. There was no cell service. (Verizon or AT&T). There were 3 over the air channels on TV. The town consists of 60 people but it is on the Continental Divide, so they have a lot of hikers in the area. Husband said the showers were clean. We would stay again for an overnight stay. We camped at Pie Town RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Thousand Trails - San Benito Preserve, Paicines, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

Typical TT park. The rangers were very friendly and helpful. They did ask us to show our insurance and registration on our truck and trailer before they would let us enter. I've never had that before. We paid $5 extra per night for 50 amp. The sites are close together but the park wasn't full so we did not have anyone on one side of us while we were there. The sites are grass and fairly level. It is fairly easy to maneuver through the park. There are a lot of trees which is nice for the shade but they need to be trimmed because most on the sites would scratch your roof. Verizon had limited cell service in the park. AT&T had no cell service. You have the option of buying wi-fi at your campsite for $10 for 5 days and it works extremely well. But, it is suppose to be for 1 user at a time. However, my husband and I were able to use it on our phones at the same time. Go figure. It is a great park if you just want to kick back and camp because it isn't close to anything. We camped at Thousand Trails - San Benito Preserve in a Fifth Wheel.

The road you come in to the park on is part of their wine trail. It has 3 wineries that are worth the tasting cost.

Railside RV Ranch, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The park was well maintained and convenient to everything. The sites are gravel and level. They served a continental breakfast (free) while we were there. We were there on a weekend, so I'm not sure if it is everyday or just weekends. I felt like $45 was too much for the park with a Good Sam discount. The train that goes to the Grand Canyon passes by several times a day and blows its whistle. They don't run the train late or too early so it didn't bother us. We camped at Railside RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Orange Grove RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We used this as a stop over for 1 night. This park was awesome! We arrived after the office closed. They had the sites posted that were available and an envelope with the site number that contained all the info you needed. (Wi-fi info, cable channels, code to bathroom). Husband used showers. He said the shower stalls are very large, very clean tile, and each included dressing area. The roads are well marked and well thought out. They are very wide and easy to maneuver. You are parking with orange trees around you. The sites are gravel and very level. They were not close to being full because this is a very large park. This park would be great to stay longer. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Santa Nella RV Park, Santa Nella, California

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Checked into park. Lady in office put us in a site in the back. We could not fit in the site. There also was a gate in the back that was open and was not shut at night according to reviews and a person there. Had read reviews about theft in that part of the park. Went back and asked if we could be in the front. Even though there were MANY vacant sites in front, we were told they had no sites available. I asked for my money back because we couldn't fit in the site and we were uncomfortable in the back. The lady in the office said, "I'm sorry you think old is going to rub off on you." She did give me my money back but the comment was uncalled for. We camped at Santa Nella RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lemon Cove Village RV Park, Lemon Cove, California

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

When we called to make reservations 3 months ago, the office kept telling my husband that they were not Coast to Coast. He called twice to double check. When we arrived there was the C2C sign. He asked about it and was told that you have to tell them you are C2C 24 hours before you arrive. Anyway, after a call to the owner, we got the C2C discount. For the area, it is nice. Facilities are good and clean. Surrounded by orange groves and the smell is great. Close to SEQUOIA NP. Gravel sites but level. We camped at Lemon Cove Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bakersfield River Run RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We didn't have a reservation and when we called, they didn't have any openings. They were nice enough to offer to call if they got a cancellation and they did. We had a back in site that was long enough for our trailer and truck. All pads are concrete and level. Plenty of room in the park to maneuver. Facilities were very nice and very clean. Close to just about anything you need. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Zuni Village RV Park, Kingman, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Good place for a stop over or short visit. We stayed 1 night. It is in town and close to a lot of things. The guy running the office was very nice. Husband used the shower and said it was clean. Flat, level sites. Full time residents there and some are questionable. The directions to get there by gps are confusing. The $19 was because we are Passport America. I would stay there again. We camped at Zuni Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Overall Rating:

We had a pull-thru and it was plenty big enough for our 40' 5th wheel and truck. The office staff was very helpful. We got a lot of over the air channels. AT&T service was good. This was a great park for an overnight stay. It was easy in/easy out. I would stay here again. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Childress City Fair Park, Childress, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Great little gem of a park! It is hidden away inside the city park. There are 5 spaces with water and 50 amp electricity. It is $15 per night. The sites are level. You can tell they have been there for a long time, but still a great place for an overnight stay. I think you can only stay 3 nights max. You deposit your money in a container. We never saw anyone pick it up, but we were there on a weekend. It is first come, first serve. All the sites were back in. We will definitely stay there again if passing through that area. Marina Village Resort, Trinity, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Park is old but in the process of being completely updated. Many waterfront sites. It is a hidden gem but well worth the visit. Sites are far apart and most are level. The wildlife come into the park in the early morning and late evening. It is quiet. The people are very friendly. Activities on most weekends. Some 50 amp sites, some 30 amp only sites. Really beautiful park. We camped at Marina Village Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Estes Park Campground at Marys Lake, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I rated this park Satisfactory because compared to other parks charging what they charge, you don't get much for your money. The sites are close. They are gravel and unlevel. They have a small laundry that is up the hill in the office. They charge $2 to take a shower. Their change machine was broken at one of their bath houses. When I went to the laundry, I ask the office if they could give me change for the laundry. She told me that I would have to go to the bath house to get change. I told her the machine was broken. She told me to go to the other bath house. There aren't any views of the mountains. There is a pool. It is advertised as heated but wasn't this time of year. They need to do some work on their roads inside the park. It was convenient to everything. There is a trolley stop right across the street. We will probably stay somewhere else the next time we visit. We camped at Estes Park Campground at Marys Lake in a Fifth Wheel.

Cheyenne Mountain State Park, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park. Very pretty view and sites are spacious. However, the rate was $28.00 a day PLUS $7 a day for entrance into the park. There is also a $2.00 charge to take a shower. There is also a $10 booking fee. The showers were clean. They have a nice laundry which was clean. They have a good play area for kids and plenty of roads/trails if you want to get out and walk. Convenient to everything to do in Colorado Springs. We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wagon Train RV Park, Canton, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great little park! We called late and last minute and the manager was very nice. The sites are level. They are gravel but nice. Full hook-ups. They don't have cable but you get about 30 channels off the air TV. They have a small laundry but very clean. It is right off the interstate but not noisy because it sets far enough off the road. A great park for an overnight stay. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Wagon Train RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
