Childress City Fair Park, Childress, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Great little gem of a park! It is hidden away inside the city park. There are 5 spaces with water and 50 amp electricity. It is $15 per night. The sites are level. You can tell they have been there for a long time, but still a great place for an overnight stay. I think you can only stay 3 nights max. You deposit your money in a container. We never saw anyone pick it up, but we were there on a weekend. It is first come, first serve. All the sites were back in. We will definitely stay there again if passing through that area. We camped at Childress City Fair Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Marina Village Resort, Trinity, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Park is old but in the process of being completely updated. Many waterfront sites. It is a hidden gem but well worth the visit. Sites are far apart and most are level. The wildlife come into the park in the early morning and late evening. It is quiet. The people are very friendly. Activities on most weekends. Some 50 amp sites, some 30 amp only sites. Really beautiful park. We camped at Marina Village Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Estes Park Campground at Marys Lake, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I rated this park Satisfactory because compared to other parks charging what they charge, you don't get much for your money. The sites are close. They are gravel and unlevel. They have a small laundry that is up the hill in the office. They charge $2 to take a shower. Their change machine was broken at one of their bath houses. When I went to the laundry, I ask the office if they could give me change for the laundry. She told me that I would have to go to the bath house to get change. I told her the machine was broken. She told me to go to the other bath house. There aren't any views of the mountains. There is a pool. It is advertised as heated but wasn't this time of year. They need to do some work on their roads inside the park. It was convenient to everything. There is a trolley stop right across the street. We will probably stay somewhere else the next time we visit. We camped at Estes Park Campground at Marys Lake in a Fifth Wheel.

Cheyenne Mountain State Park, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park. Very pretty view and sites are spacious. However, the rate was $28.00 a day PLUS $7 a day for entrance into the park. There is also a $2.00 charge to take a shower. There is also a $10 booking fee. The showers were clean. They have a nice laundry which was clean. They have a good play area for kids and plenty of roads/trails if you want to get out and walk. Convenient to everything to do in Colorado Springs. We camped at Cheyenne Mountain State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wagon Train RV Park, Canton, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great little park! We called late and last minute and the manager was very nice. The sites are level. They are gravel but nice. Full hook-ups. They don't have cable but you get about 30 channels off the air TV. They have a small laundry but very clean. It is right off the interstate but not noisy because it sets far enough off the road. A great park for an overnight stay. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Wagon Train RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here a week. When we arrived, they did not have our reservations that we made in February and had called to verify in March. Site we had reserved occupied by someone else. We were told that they can't guarantee you will get the site you reserve anyway so go pick another site. Picked another site, couldn't have it because it was already reserved by someone else. You see how this conversation went. The office staff was confrontational and not apologetic about mix up. Clean laundry but a bit overpriced compared to laundry at other campgrounds. Terraced gravel sites. Bathrooms/showers clean. No amenities. Nice walking trail. Some sites have good views, some do not. Most sites have a patio, but you pay extra for the patio. Mainly a "stop for the night" place. Full every night but most people left in the morning. Haven't checked out any of the other parks in area, so not sure if I would stay here again or not. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
