Washington DC / Capitol KOA, Millersville, Maryland

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Arrived at the campground, staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our site escort took us into the site next to ours which was odd and to boot the site numbers are on your neighbors tower, not yours which amplified the confusion. We had to back up with car in tow. That night our friends were having power problems at their site, when their 2nd AC would turn on it would drop voltage and shut off. The following AM we began to experience electrical problems with the tower. Low voltage concern also as our friends. The office sent staff over to look at the tower and tell me that I have to understand that the campground is busy there is a lot of RV's pulling power and this sort of stuff can happen, HUH, you offer 50 AMP service, I paid for it and you cannot supply it? They then told me it was our motorhome, not their tower. After the manager came over and began to dig deeper we had a breaker problem, they corrected it (2 hours has passed now) we were all fixed up, not after it burned out my Portable Progressive EMS unit. So I had to run to a local RV dealer and spend $442.00 on a replacement. Us and the two other families that experienced the same problems will not be back. When a campground risks damaging your equipment its just not worth the risk. We camped at Washington DC / Capitol KOA in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Mill Run, Mill Run, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground, beautiful water park, nice staff. What we didn't like was the noise; there were dozens of golf cart speeding around, some of them modified with loud exhaust cruising about, so bad we couldn't have a conversation under our awning without screaming at each other. Sites were not level, but not far from being level. Main road was paved, most of the others were just gravel in the new section, not small gravel but large rock chunks, so when you put your patio mat down and stepped the rock would come through it. Grass on our site wasn't mowed but not a problem. Would we go back, probably not - just too much noise. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Mill Run in a Motorhome.

AA Royal Motel & Campground, North Tonawanda, New York

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is not your typical campground. If you are looking for kid activities I wouldn't recommend it. If you are looking for a place to park so you can day trip, come back cook some food and sit around a fire then this is the place. Very quiet, the owner at the desk was very nice. Our site and all of the roads were paved and level, we had a pull-through site that was huge, it fit our 42' motorhome and our Jeep still hooked and there was room behind and in front of us while connected. I thought the pricing was good for the area. There is plenty of shopping (groceries and everything else) in the area if you need supplies and a RV dealership one block up if you should need any RV specific supplies since they do not have a store. the campground site map is outdated. The sites in the center are now one but they show as two, i.e., we had site 23 and 28 which is now one site. We camped at AA Royal Motel & Campground in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Quarryville, Quarryville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $114.00
Overall Rating:

We have been camping here since 2008. A new owner has taken over the park and has done some upgrading, paved roads, added to the water park, new pools and groomed the landscaping, and I must say they have done a fantastic job. The 1st downside is the pricing, it is very expensive. 2nd, the water park has several broken water cannons/guns. 3rd, there is a lack of rule enforcement, which can strain your visit. Golf carts and cars speeding through the campground etc. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at Quarryville in a Motorhome.

Lakewood Camping Resort, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Booked here because we wanted a quiet family vacation and the other campgrounds In the area were know to be wild on holidays. What a mistake, along the shore line every night is a cruise night with large trucks and golf carts cruising with people hanging off the back screaming. The golf carts are racing up and down the roads turning around in campsites with young teens driving. No security in site. But if I open a beer at my site they will be all over me! Seriously who runs this place? We camped at Lakewood Camping Resort in a Motorhome.
