Oak Hollow Family Campground, High Point, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed on one of the level sites in section A. Sites are narrow and many are unlevel to the point that you need to move to section B which is all gravel and level but no trees at all. Restrooms are clean on the weekends but no cleaning from Tuesday til Friday, not the best situation. Pool is avail in section A. Nice campground but the city needs to spend some of the profit to fix sites that are asphalt but breaking edges on sides and large dips in pavement need attention. no patio only dirt to sit. We camped at Oak Hollow Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

River Plantation RV Park, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $35.00

Management has changed the Wifi and Cable carriers and the wifi is working most of the time and the cable is awful. Your better off using your antennae...We have camped here many times but really charging for services that aren't there is nothing but greed. They will say the cable is fine and its your system, but when you go buy a new cable and hook it directly to the TV and its still fuzzy, then its their system. We camped at River Plantation RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hungry Mother State Park, Marion, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Go over to the new addition for more room and the ability to get out easier without messing up the grass. They have a habit of placing a 18' trailer on a 20' site and people park so you have an issue of getting out of the old pull threw sites. Old site had sewer where newer sites only have water and electric. Easy access to dump site too. This is at Burson Campground. We camped at Hungry Mother State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Big South Fork National River & Rec Area, Bandy Creek Campground (NPS), Oneida, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Still one of the most peaceful places you can camp at, even though it's out of the way. They have added Wi-Fi at the visitor center by the campground so you can use your cell or laptop. Maintenance was lacking, but again it's due to our government making budget cuts while still supporting other things. It's sad to let a campground let go. We camped at Big South Fork National River & Rec Area, Bandy Creek Campground (NPS) in a Fifth Wheel.

Oak Hollow Family Campground, High Point, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Campground has changed to the dark side. Rates have gone up to 35 versus 30, without any significant changes for the better. Restrooms were full of dead bugs and one out of two toilets was stopped up and disgusting. I think the lady who had done an outstanding job has been let go. The guys doing it now don't spend but 5 minutes on cleaning, go figure. Sites are still the same with lots of blocks needed to level unless you get here early and find one of the twenty where you can level your unit. Will be looking for another campground in the future. It's not the staff at the campground; its the city management people that have no clue in running a campground. We camped at Oak Hollow Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

River Plantation RV Park, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Still a great campground and no complaints what so ever. Yes, 4 days of rain will make the grass grow and not suited to cut when wet. Some people just have to find something as stated before. Will be back soon. We camped at River Plantation RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Big South Fork National River & Rec Area, Bandy Creek Campground (NPS), Oneida, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Terrific campground that allows the senior access pass which is half price. Rangers are great and friendly. It is very isolated with no cell or local TV stations. Wally world is about 20 minutes away if you get lonely. We camped at Big South Fork National River & Rec Area, Bandy Creek Campground (NPS) in a Fifth Wheel.

Oak Hollow Family Campground, High Point, North Carolina

Campground had done a 180 degree since last visit. No seasonals and very clean and staff is very friendly and caters to campers. Restrooms are spotless thanks to a lady that cleans for two hours every day. Will return again. We camped at Oak Hollow Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

South Bend / Elkhart North KOA, Granger, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Second event at a KOA in the past seven years. Why would they put a 32' fifth wheel with a full size truck on a 40' site between two roads? You wonder what management is thinking. Pull-through are nice and shaded and park is very clean. Security is constant riding around on their golf cart. Would stay again but never on their wish to park me on a site that is really not camper friendly. Wake up people. We camped at South Bend / Elkhart North KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Cumberland Gap National Historic Park / Wilderness Road Campground, Ewing, Virginia

Date of Stay: April, 2011 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground with shopping only ten minutes away near by in Middlesboro, Kentucky. Rating would be higher if they had water at the site. Fill your RV tank when you enter if you are staying overnight. Rate is 1/2 price from using Golden Age pass. Lots of hiking trails available. We camped at Cumberland Gap National Historic Park / Wilderness Road Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Dale Hollow State Resort Park, Burkesville, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Another State Park that is great. Although it states big rig friendly, it would help if you knew your site in advance: not all are large enough. Most state 41 feet in depth but some lack that amount for sure unless you place your rear jacks on very unlevel ground. Sites are mostly level and paved and 1/2 or almost have sewers if you are staying very long. No TV or cell reception in park. You can get PBS and KET but no major news station. Cell service is available about 1 mile drive if you have AT&T. Bluegrass cell will work in campground and at lodge. Closest town is Burkesville with not much but does have gas and groceries and some shops. We camped at Dale Hollow State Resort Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Taylorsville Lake State Park Campground, Taylorsville, Kentucky

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Still a nice getaway campground. Stayed two nights and enjoyed the time away. We arrived after some tent people that left a mess of beer cans behind the site and trash in the fire pit. Wouldn't expect anything less, some people just don't get it. We camped at Taylorsville Lake State Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

River Plantation RV Park, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2010 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Still one of the top notch campgrounds in the area. Would have given a higher rank if the security people riding around, would stop some of the people who don't recognize the speed limit within the campground. The dust was bad because of all the new gravel in place. We camped at River Plantation RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sherling Lake Park, Greenville, Alabama

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground with pull-through sites that help for short stays. We stayed here two nights on the way to the beach. W-Fi is available but you need to be close to office. Restrooms need to updated but a one-holer is OK. Will stay here again next time through. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Topsail Hill State Preserve, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful state campground with lots to do at campground and in the area. Only issue like others is lack of Wi-fi; otherwise would rank as one of the top all time. We camped at Topsail Hill State Preserve in a Fifth Wheel.
