Bakersfield RV Resort, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a nice RV park however, staff and the owners knew there was a problem with bike thefts and failed to advise us of the problem. My husband's new Giant bicycle was stolen on our second night at the park which was secured with a heavy duty cable and cable lock which the thieves cut with heavy duty cutters. My husband was able to follow the tire tracks all the way to the opened gate on the southeast end of the park which led to an adjacent neighborhood. He advised staff about his stolen bike and they told him they knew there was a problem and were in process of addressing it but yet failed to warn us. If they had warned us we could have placed the bikes in our jeep. Also, the gardeners came over the day of the theft and with their blowers blew dust all over our coach! One night we came back to RV park after 10 PM and the exit gate was wide open. Other than that, the pool, restrooms, showers were very clean. The restaurant is great! We stay in Bakersfield a lot in our travels but sad to say we won't ever stay at Bakersfield RV resort again. It cost us a lot of money to replace the bike and all the locks. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Bakersfield River Run RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park. Staff are very accommodating. It is conveniently located just off the 99 freeway. However, the freeway noise is pretty loud and the pool and pool area was in need of attention. The concrete patios could be swept after each guest departs so it can be clean and ready for the new guest. Other than that it's our favorite place to stay in Bakersfield as we do stay in Bakersfield a lot. We camped at Bakersfield River Run RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Try to choose a site as far away from the freeway as possible unless you don't mind the noise.
