Tee Pee Campground, Upper Sandusky, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Mostly full time RV's in this park, no other park for miles. As you would expect from full timers lots of this and that around most if not all of the sites. Very nice swimming lake, all new electric and water system. A lot of tree's and no cable. Very friendly owners that live on site. Site was quite muddy. We camped at Tee Pee Campground in a Motorhome.

Ask to see your site before you try to set up. They have lots of level sites but quite a few unleveled ones also. Nice sites on the banks of the river. Tube and raft rentals. Fishing pond catch and release.

Overall Rating:

Very clean restrooms, only one shower for men and one for women. Electric service was good, no sewer hook up only dump station. Water bibs along road, no cable. Satellite and be picked up on sites 10 & 11. Full time host and they keep the park up very nicely. six miles to Emporium and limited shopping. Six of us eat breakfast at the nearby Buttonwood Motel and it was great and only cost $33.00. Great swimming Pool cold but clean and has life guards and kiddie pool. Scenic Hills RV Park, Millersburg, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 2 nights in site 105 and the electric panel was on the wrong side and we had to run our electric cable under our Motor Home. It worked but is just strange why they would do it. There was a fairly steep bank just outside our step and we had to be very careful when we stepped outside as not to fall down the bank. It took two water hoses to reach the hose bib. Free fire wood is a nice plus. Very close to all of the shops in Amish country. They do not give refunds if you cancel they issue credit to be used when you make a return visit. Friendly staff. We have stayed in this park five (5) times. Middle of Ohio Amish Country, everything you want in shopping. Our site was wide open with clear view of the sky and our Satellite worked fine. I did not see any full time campers on any of the sites we looked at. We will return. We camped at Scenic Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Grandfather Campground, Banner Elk, North Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Have stayed here many times both winter and summer, as we are big fans of this part of the country. Site was small for the M/H we have, but it worked out ok. Sewer hook up was quite higher then the site, so I had to support the hose for it to drain properly. Large park with lots of tents, but it was very quiet at night. Nice stream goes right through it, and there is fishing and gold panning next door. Propane just down the road and also ski rentals next door. Close to Boone, the Mast General Stores, Linville Caverns, Linville Falls and Grandfather Mountain. Try it, I think you will like it. We camped at Grandfather Campground in a Motorhome.

New Green Acres RV Park , Walterboro, South Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Small park along I 95, a good stopping point for a good nights rest. Not a destination park but a good over night park. A number of construction units on site but neat and clean. We have stopped there at least 10 times over the years and have never left upset. It is not a Resort type park just a nice place to spent a night or two. We camped at New Green Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sizerville State Park, Emporium, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We agree with the above review would like to add that only electric at each site, water bibs spaced along the road, sewer dump station. FREE fire wood, small stream running through sites, free swimming pool, play grounds for the kids. The best nature you could ask for. No Wi-Fi or cell service at park you will have to go into Emporium 6 +/- miles away to get either. Deer, Bear & Elk sightings if you are quite plus they have an Elk viewing area just a short drive from the park. The area is perfect if you love nature. We camped at Sizerville State Park in a Motorhome.

Great park, very little shade, Wi-Fi spotty & slow, long level gravel sites, paved roads, free fire wood. Right in the center of Amish country with lots of touristy things to do, plenty of shops and restaurants. Great place to stay, this is our third visit and will not be our last. Tee Pee Campground, Upper Sandusky, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

New first year owners, doing lots of up grades, electric, office, restrooms, lots to do yet. Very close to heavily used highway and Railroad tracks, train's about every hour. Corn fields all around us, lots of farming and feed mills. Very country setting. A little pricy for what you get. Water pressure was almost non-existent, no WiFi or cable. The owner said they had 147 full time campers some were kept very nicely and some not so much. We camped at Tee Pee Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Very Small town not much shopping, Marion & Finley Ohio are 20 or so miles away and have pretty much everything you would want. Upper Sandusky does have a hospital just a few miles from the campground. Two covered bridges and the Indian mill grist mill are very close by. This is the home of the Wyandot Indians and there is lots of information on their history in the county.

Overall Rating:

WiFi did not work, but we find that is the norm in the parks we stay in. Sites very close together, we had to duck down under our slide to get to our car. Very friendly and helpful staff. It was full every night we were there. Although it was next to I-15, it was not a problem. Close to all shopping and restaurants. South of the city, Salt Lake and Park City but the scenery on the ride was worth it. We would stay there in the future. We camped at Mountain Shadows RV Park in a Motorhome.
