Golden Terrace South RV Resort, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nothing fancy here, cramped sites, some paved, some gravel. A good sized laundry room that isn't cleaned very often. Nice neighbors, mostly long term residents. No trees, and the grassy areas are marked to keep dogs off. There is a dog walk area. One of several not very destination-like RV parks in the Denver area. The staff is nice. We camped at Golden Terrace South RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Prospect RV Park, Wheat Ridge, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

The owner and the manager here don't like to "accommodate", their word, "you people who only want to be here a few good months of the year". That is a direct quote. The park is cramped, full of long term residents, a black gravel parking lot surrounding a private home, not a great view, IMO. It does not have 50 amp service but operates off of a weird system of two separate inputs for each site. You cannot run both air conditioners if you have two so it's hard to keep a larger rig cool and the breaker blows when you run the air and another electric item like the microwave or hair dryer and there is very little shade. The power fails over and over on hot days for the entire park. The Wi-Fi is useless. The bathrooms and laundry are clean but not enough washers and dryers for the amount of users. Signs tell you you have 10 minutes to bath if you use their shower facilities, I never did. The sites are overrun with rabbits including a dead one under the RV next to me when I first arrived. The adjacent park is small and the walkways are usually covered in goose poo, which makes walking the dogs a challenge. Basically a poor choice but not many good ones in the Denver area. I won't go back. We camped at Prospect RV Park in a Motorhome.
