Homolovi Ruins State Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Despite being situated within sight from I-40 this is an excellent tranquil campground, with friendly host & ranger. Wonderful high plains views, ample facilities and good level placements.

The visitor's centre is well worth a visit, just like the excavation sites.

We stayed here for one night in April. We camped at Homolovi Ruins State Park in a Motorhome.

Villanueva State Park, Villanueva, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Almost a hidden gem, this campsite. Friendly & helpful ranger. Quiet and spacious campsite with marvellous views along the Pecos River. We did enjoy a few small hikes (not too difficult) and certainly the dolce far niente atmosphere here.

Travelling through we camped here for two nights. We camped at Villanueva State Park in a Motorhome.

Burdette Park, Evansville, Indiana

Just travelling through, but did we enjoy our one night's stay here!

Large, level places on a forested terrace camping, nice & easy hikes, good facilities and friendly staff make this a great campsite. We camped at Burdette Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't get fooled by the access road from Evansville. It looks like it's ending amidst industrial areas & deserted railroad facilities, but the rewards are there!
