McIntosh Lake Campground & RV Park, Townsend, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful park run by the most caring owners. We arrived after late and dark due to a tire blow on en route. We called 10 minutes out as requested and the owner met us with a flashlight shining on the sign at the road since his sign light was out. He then led us to our site. His wife was also extremely nice as we checked in. They couldn't have been more accommodating especially for a last minute reservation. While this was just an overnight stop on the way to Florida we saw how lovely everything was the next morning. We wished we had time to stay and enjoy the nice campground on the pretty lake. We definitely will plan to visit again when we can stay awhile to enjoy both the campground, lake and the lovely owners. We camped at McIntosh Lake Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails - Pacific City, Cloverdale, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2015
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a Getaway and our friends stayed in a cabin. Both were extremely clean with wonderful views and had everything you could possibly need. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Amenities in this park are really nice like the store, pool and the family center. Wish we lived closer as we would return often and even bring our motorhome but we live on the east coast. Many of the campsites were private. Roads with higher views were steep but even big rigs and 5th wheels were everywhere. Loved the location as lots of beaches and wonderful scenic drives nearby. Central coast so you could go north or south for lots to see and do. The price listed is $0 but there was a cleaning fee of $95 for the week. We had no fee as Getaways are given to members for different reasons such as upgrades or they can be purchased from Preferred Access for the week. They always are from Friday to Friday and on PA go for around $699 for the week if listed as a last minute purchase. Otherwise I believe they can be exchanged in the condo exchange system even though they aren't really condos but are park model mobile homes with a living room, dining area/table, then full kitchen. This one had a regular stove with full oven plus a microwave. It had a full bathroom and a queen bed in the bedroom. The sofa was a hide a bed with a comfy air mattress type bed inside. It was decorated in a woods theme with very nice pictures and decorations on the wall. It was a very nice unit. We camped at Thousand Trails - Pacific City in a Cabin.

Tips for other Campers:

Loved Three Cape Scenic Loop, especially Cape Meade's lighthouse. Tillamook Cheese Factory had great cafe and creamery for lunch and ice cream. Further north Ecola State Park overlooked Cannon Beach/Haystack Rock and was great state park. Seaside was nice day trip. Depoe Bay nice little town. Newport Hatfield Marine Science Center was free and really nice. Nice stop going south was Otter Rock. Yaquina Head lighthouse worth seeing as was Devil's Punchbowl State Park.

Thousand Trails - La Conner, La Conner, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderfully kept park and great location with water views. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. Family center really nice and big grassy area to put chairs and enjoy the water views. This is a well kept facility. We were in a cabin with water views and could walk to the beach near the boat ramp. Cabin was plain but very clean and well appointed with hair dryer, all kitchen items, flat screen TV, so had everything you would need for a great week. Had a deck and firepit. Wish we lived closer as we would return frequently but live on the east coast. This park is very accessible to motor homes and all camping units even big rigs. Loved everything about La Conner. We camped at Thousand Trails - La Conner in a Cabin.
