Tips for other Campers:

Too many things to list actually! Take a long day trip to Biloxi Mississippi and visit the Casino's there, take in a show, and if you feel lucky, gamble a little or a lot! You can go to Pensacola nearby and see the Blue Angels while they practice and you can visit the Battleship Alabama nearby, see a WWII Submarine and go through it. You can go to the dog races and bet on your favorite pooch and maybe win a bundle.

Boston / Cape Cod KOA, Middleboro, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

This park is old, it has no pads, it has gravel roads, dirt sites and the cable tv service is hit or miss, ours stayed OUT almost all of the time we were there, they ran a cable across several sites to plug into another site and even then, it failed a few hours later. Office said rules were quiet time at 10:00 and absolutely no fires after 10:00 pm, there was a Work Kamper two sites next to us and there was a trailer pulled in next to us and next to the Work Kamper and they had 3 or 4 carloads of guys come in and all of them carrying cases of beer, they built a bonfire that worried me and they put speakers outside and blasting music all night, 2:30 am they were still going at it and the work kamper did nothing about it, I called the security number that the office gives out and it has a recording that says leave a message and they will get back to you the next day, that is some security isn't it! The racket next to us went on until after 4:15 am and so did the bonfire and the Campground Workers did nothing about it and said nothing about it and they did not charge all the visitors that stayed in and around the trailer until the next morning when all of them got up and left. This park is unruly and not a family orientated campground, someone should fire that staff and hire a staff that would post the rules and enforce the rules. I cannot and would NOT recommend this KOA, in fact it should not be called a KOA, it is not up to KOA standards. We camped at Boston / Cape Cod KOA in a Motorhome.

Niagara Falls North / Lewiston KOA, Lewiston, New York

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a nice park but we were shocked that they never provided cable tv service and the antenna did not work good there nether did our satellite dish, it sure was boring at night! But we were there to see the Falls which is great and we went over to Canada for the day which was very interesting and had a great time. There is a lot to do in and around Niagara Falls area. We camped at Niagara Falls North / Lewiston KOA in a Motorhome.

Orlando / Kissimmee KOA, Kissimmee, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Absolutely a WONDERFUL KOA PARK! This park is located perfectly for going to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, it is right between the two parks. Sites are clean, well laid out and so much all around it. Be sure to pay a visit to Boston Lobster Feast nearby, best restaurant in America! If you love Lobster, you will love Boston Lobster Feast because it is all the Lobster you can eat for one price so go there hungry! They also have great scallops, clams and all other seafood which you can eat along with your Lobster, we make plans to eat there twice every week we are in the area, I would not go to Florida without going to Boston Lobster Feast.............. We camped at Orlando / Kissimmee KOA in a Motorhome.

Pine Mountain RV Park, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

None of the parks in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg are even close to Pine Mountain because Pine Mountain is by far the number one best park. They need to use Pine Mountain as the model for all the others and they need desperately to clean up most of the parks here. We have stayed in most of the parks in Pigeon Forge but now we only stay at Pine Mountain.

Don't worry about what site number to get because they are all great sites, the back row is on a creek if that is what you like and they are all back-in. This is the best park for getting away from all the Parkway noise but is centrally located, best location in Pigeon Forge, just turn at Red-light #6 and go about 1/2 mile and its on the left. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Fancy Gap / Blue Ridge Parkway KOA, Fancy Gap, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Park is on the side of a mountain and you have to be a goat to get to your site. Park was filled with mostly trailers and they turned both kids and dogs loose and both were loud from 07:00 until after dark. Nearby sites constantly burned garbage in their fire pits which smelled bad and this happened every day but office personnel did nothing to stop the noise or the trash burning. Sites are super tight and you have to be a really good driver to maneuver through the tight and tiny roads while climbing a mountain. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PARK! Not up to KOA Standards. NO TV Service even though you pay for it! We camped at Fancy Gap / Blue Ridge Parkway KOA in a Motorhome.

Fancy Gap / Blue Ridge Parkway KOA, Fancy Gap, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

I cannot recommend this KOA because it is not a quality KOA Park in my opinion, you have to be a mountain goat to get around because there dug out sits on the side of a mountain and winding roads that are very difficult to maneuver through. Sites are very tight and close to each other and you better have good jacks to level your unit, our front tires were 2 feet off the ground trying to level our coach, sites are not that good! You have to deal with people burning trash in their fires and it stinks, office personnel drove by and never said a word to people doing this and many of them do it. Lots of trailers at this campground and forget about getting peaceful rest because there are kids screaming all day and up to the night, it never ends! And the kids are running through every site, they run through our site most of the time we were there. But the area is fun to visit, where Mayberry NC supposed to be, its where they shot the early episodes of Andy Griffith. See the old jail they used in the show, its a fun day to spend but don't plan over a day or two at the most. And check out other campgrounds, I don't recommend this KOA for coaches and I don't recommend it for anyone who wants to get some quiet peaceful rest..... We camped at Fancy Gap / Blue Ridge Parkway KOA in a Motorhome.

Gettysburg Campground, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This is a campground made out of an open area, not much shade, it was very hot there but then we were only there at night, we stayed a couple nights so we could see Gettysburg Battlefield and area. Park is okay for a couple nights stay but not much more than that. It is level, gravel lots and not much more to say about it. We camped at Gettysburg Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Another excellent KOA on our East Coast Road Trip 2017, we left Bar Harbor and went to N.H. then here on our way to Niagara Falls, this park provided a great place to stop and spend a few days, lots to do all around, we just took off for day trips to explore the area and had nothing but fun the whole time, just disappointed that we did not see any Moose! We are beginning to think they are a myth ! Ha-Ha! We camped at Quechee / Pine Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA, Littleton, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent park, quiet and well managed, this KOA has rules and everyone has to abide by them but there was no issues while we were there. Just down the road it 99 Restaurant, very good place to eat! YES, they have Lobster Roll's which was an addiction that we acquired on this east coast roadtrip. Take a day-trip and go the town where the Maple Syrup Factory is, well worth the time and it is free, you will be amazed at the facts you will hear about syrup! Also, nearby is a Cheese Factory and they have a great tour and partake of the cheese sampling, and try each flavor, I have always preferred one type but sampling all of the flavors sure woke me up and I found that I loved so many other flavors over the one that I have eaten all my life. And we found that many small towns has craft shows on weekends, we visited those and had a ball. While you are there buy the Maple Syrup and half the price you will find everywhere else! We camped at Littleton / Franconia Notch KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

A little piece of heaven in the East Corner of the USA. Have to say that I could live there, it is beautiful and so much to see and do around it. Lobster cooked every day at the park or you can go to the local places which are just out of the front entrance and it was superb, and don't leave Maine until you have had a Lobster Roll sandwich, OH MY! I cannot tell you how delicious these are! We had our first one on Martha's Vineyard and all it takes is ONE and you are hooked for life! We had Lobster Roll's in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and New York and we will continue to love this Eastern United States Treat from now on! Park is in the wide open with no shade, very hot! Sites are okay, nothing special, just gravel and grass. No security at night because we tried to call about people playing music outside late at night (way past quiet time). NO trash pickup, tv was okay until a 5er pulled in next to us and plugged in their tv cable and then we got snowy reception. We camped at Gettysburg Campground in a Motorhome.

Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA, Bar Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $99.00
Overall Rating:

This is a TOP Quality KOA, the way all KOA's should be. The only thing that I find negative is no sewer on all sites. They charge 15.00 per dump and they come to your site to dump your tanks. I feel that the dump should be complementary since paying 99.00 a night.

The staff is the friendliest and nicest that you will ever encounter. Location is excellent, I recommend this KOA Park very highly. Book early and don't get a water site, they have no sewer. This is a quality KOA Park and you will enjoy your visit. We camped at Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA in a Motorhome.

Boston / Cape Cod KOA, Middleboro, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

Totally unsupervised park, NO control over anything. The park has an "Emergency After Hour Phone Number" listed on the check-in sheet and I called it, it states to leave a name and phone number and they will call you back the next day, WHAT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! There is NO security in this park at all!!! The sites are dirty muddy sites, roads are gravel and it is out in the country away from anything and they charge like they are near the beach or activities, no stores of any kind are close, 7.5 miles to the closest yet they over-charge for this park. The park store has little to no supplies and no groceries either. This park is NOT up to the KOA standard for being a good park. This park needs to provide after-hour phone numbers that function as they should, they need a Security Staff to police the park and enforce quiet hours and visitors controlled on sites. Boston/Cape Cod KOA, strange that they even call it that because it is 45 minutes to Boston, an hour to Cape Cod both are FAR! I will NEVER again visit this park, hope I can share this for other RV'ers to avoid this park and the bad environment. We camped at Boston / Cape Cod KOA in a Motorhome.
