Rock Springs / Green River KOA, Rock Springs, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

For a quick stop I would give this a 6, for a visit longer than a day, I would give it a 4.

This is a decent place to stop for a quick, overnight visit, but I would not recommend it as a destination. The bathrooms are clean and it is a convenient stopping point between Yellowstone/Grand Teton's and Colorado. The sites are very close together. There are picnic tables at each site, but the two tables and utilities are shared with a neighbor, so privacy is lacking.

This is an unattractive RV site. The park is in the middle of a desert, behind oil storage tanks, and next to a freeway. The RV spots are gravel with no shade. If you want to be near the facilities, you will also be close to the freeway which can be loud. They have a small grassy area for pets, but it would be rough on their paws getting to this area.

Not a great value for the cost, but at least the bathrooms were clean! We camped at Rock Springs / Green River KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Note: You will need to show your AAA, Good Sams, CAA or AARP card to receive the discount.

This is a well-maintained park but be aware that they have strict rules about keeping the sites clutter-free. No storage under or around RV; No tarps, tents or laundry hanging outside

Pros:

Clean park

Great restrooms

Easy access to Portland and to cities south of Portland

Shopping near by

Well maintained

Con's:

Tight spaces on back-in's

No picnic tables

Limited space for grilling. We camped at Roamer's Rest RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Steamboat Springs KOA, Steamboat Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

This could be a great park if they would hire a bathroom attendant to keep their facilities clean. The park is in a good location, has mature tress and is family friendly with fun options to keep small children entertained. The sites are gravel and have picnic tables. Overall the park has a nice feel to it, but the common areas need more TLC. We camped at Steamboat Springs KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Mountain Home RV Park, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Wow! Extremely clean park with private showers. This property has all concrete pads, with the majority being pull-through's with picnic tables. The bathroom and laundry facilities are outstanding. This is a great place to stay if you need a day to pamper yourself and catch up on laundry. My impression is that it is like a Four Seasons of RV Parks. It is perfect if you have an expensive RV and toys as you have space, concrete, night-lights, and no junk. The park is quiet, clean and convenient to get to. There is a park for kids and dog area. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Crown Villa RV Resort, Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $63.00
Overall Rating:

I loved this park and plan to stay here again. Clean, quiet, friendly. The bathroom and laundry facilities are great! The owners clearly take pride in keeping the park clean and nice. The park has spacious concrete or paver pads, individual trash cans and storage available. Our site had a small wrought iron table and 2 chairs, but not a full picnic table.

Note: There are very few "pull-through" spots, so book ahead if that is a necessity for you. We camped at Crown Villa RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
