Parks Ferry Recreation Area at Lake Oconee, Greensboro, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice well kept up park. We registered at the gate. Sites are very level and spread out. You are right on Lake Oconee so you can swim or kayak. Staff was very nice. Satellite is probably not going to work due to trees but they do provide shade. We tried and tried to get a signal and gave up so bring some tapes ; nothing on air either. We camped at Parks Ferry Recreation Area at Lake Oconee in a Motorhome.

The small towns near Greensboro are very nice to visit and sightsee. In Greensboro, be sure to go to Yesterday's Cafe and have the pie. Wonderful.

Lake Oconee / Greensboro KOA, Greensboro, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The only sites that seem to be rented out at this park are the pull throughs. The nicer sites seem to belong only to TRA members. Although I had read reviews here that said it was impossible to level in these sites, I booked anyway (dumb). Turns out it is impossible to get level in these too close together sites. And the drive way around the sites has giant washouts that threaten your axle. The staff was the only exceptional thing about this awful experience. Everyone who worked with us was very nice. Obviously the staff knows about the situation. The brought boards to try and get us level. When we said we had to leave, they graciously refunded our money. These staff members deserve a better place to work. We camped at Lake Oconee / Greensboro KOA in a Motorhome.

Tween the Lakes Campground (formerly Exit 31 RV Park), Grand Rivers, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

I did not know what to expect at this park because they do not make reservations. Six big rigs came in together to watch the eclipse. We found the park to be clean and pleasant. There were a few longer term renters but no issues there. Nice pads; easy parking. Great hiking/biking trail starts at edge of park. We camped at Tween the Lakes Campground (formerly Exit 31 RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Golf cart escort to site. Beautiful fishing lake. Only two miles off I-75. County roads to park were fine but last half mile was a good paved road in which to drive down the middle. I would camp here again. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed the weekend after Labor Day. Temperature was in the 90's. Pool was already closed for the season. Boo.
Work campers really were busy working all day keeping things clean and repaired.
50 amp super sites were fine. Sites in the trees in the back would not accommodate a big rig. We camped at Washington DC / Capitol KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a very large park but it doesn't feel too big because they subdivide sections with trees and shrubs. We stayed in the super sites and they were wonderful. Their fire rings were actually raised metal outdoor fire pits. Very nice looking. We camped at Holiday Trav-L-Park in a Motorhome.

We had an issue with our "50 amp" power. We were told to only run one air conditioner. That is not my idea of good service. Front desk staff, however, was otherwise nice and helpful. We camped at Campark Resorts in a Motorhome.

Groveland Oaks, Holly, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful park in a natural setting with a lake. It is extremely clean and well maintained. Big rig sites are long enough for a 45 footer to fit nicely. Tow Parking is provided in a separate area next to each motorhome site. This is a great place for kids even though we didn't bring any. They have mini-golf, zip lining, boat and bike rental, and many different playground areas. Lots of green grass for kids and dogs to run and play. We camped at Groveland Oaks in a Motorhome.

Beautiful mountain views from some sites. Nice paved roads. Good gravel sites. Friendly staff. At check in, we were given lots of information on things to do in town; that was very nice.

Very close to town and things to see.

Lot spacing was spacious with sunny/open exposure. Site surface was gravel and features a picnic table. We camped at Scenic Mountain RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Lazydays RV Campground, Seffner, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This campground had really improved their customer service over the last years. I used to absolutely hate to go to the office. Now they have efficient and helpful and personable staff.

Roads are very good. Turns are gradual. The only thing that can be challenging is getting into your site if your neighbors have their cars in front of their coach. May have to ask them to move for a minute.

Pool and hot tub are very nice and in a screen area. Nice kid area with climbing toys. We camped at Lazydays RV Campground in a Motorhome.

We were looking for a nice park close to I-95 and we definitely found it. When we called, they were very nice on the phone. I got the same when I checked in. Sites were long pull through. Overall Rating:

This park has very nice and helpful employees. Park is one of the nicest KOA's that there is. Beautiful pool. Lots of water fountains and slide. Beautiful potted plants very plentiful. Lots of carved bear statues in old tree stumps. Close to highway but no noise in my area. Gorgeous mature trees for shade; not so good for satellite reception.
