Sandy Point Resort Campground, Knotts Island, North Carolina
Date of Stay:
July, 2015 -
$39.00
Overall Rating:
Way out of the way and very quiet on the North Landing River. Beautiful view of the river with a long boat dock and swimming beach. Huge lots and plenty of room to park and set up. Happy they have a well-stocked camp store because there is NO major grocery stores within 15 miles. Suggest that you stop and shop on the way in. We camped at Sandy Point Resort Campground in a Motorhome.

Hickory Grove Lake, Marion, Ohio
Date of Stay:
July, 2015 -
$37.00
Overall Rating:
The park is off the beaten path and very quiet. The staff is friendly and helpful. The park appears to have seen its better days with a lot of long term campers in need of a good cleaning, repair, and picking up. Broken golf carts and other equipment scattered around the campground that are just mowed around v/s removing. It has a very nice lake but again the beach is need of clean up and repair. The park has been under new management for the past 5 years so it is difficult to know what condition it was in when purchased and how much has already been done. It would appear that management is relying on the long term sites to keep money flowing. The campground is close to some of our grandchildren and we would like to return but I doubt that we will. Sad, it has great potential and we wish the new management success! We camped at Hickory Grove Lake in a Motorhome.
Remove/clean up the rundown and neglected campsites and campers.
