This might only be a parking lot but it has amazing views and so nice to just hang out. It is right next to Fat Cat's which is a great place to eat. Sits across from fishing port. You can rent kayaks & paddle boards across the street. We had thought about going here for a long time but just didn't have the guts to just drop in since they don't take reservations but I am so glad we did. Camp Host were so nice and it just felt like home away from home.

We spent 11 days during Christmas at this park which overlooks Clearlake located on Sodabay. It was amazing. A little cold but we did get sun everyday for a short time and one day of rain. The sites were big and level grass. Since the park is so close to water, take your kayaks and fishing poles. Grass and tress just greener then green everywhere. It was so beautiful. The staff was wonderful. Laundry room only has one washer and dryer, iron board, and amazingly clean. The bathrooms and showers were very clean. Keep in mind during this time there are not many rv's there but we would still love to visit during warmer weather. If you have Verizon you can't get cell phone services but there is a payphone at the park. This park is about 8 miles west of Lakeport. I would recommend Edgewater to everyone.

What a dump. I'm sorry but pictures are so deceiving and this posting things that are not really real on rv park sites should be illegal. When we drove up we were scared. Ok maybe not that bad but enough where we only got out of the rv that evening to park and the next day to sit by the water and study. I didn't go near the restrooms. The lake is, well I guess you can call that a lake and the opposite end of it was so nasty and green I can't believe some don't get infections from bug bites. I hate being harsh but after 6 years of rv'ing I am getting so tired of making excuses for these parks. If you go here, be armed! We camped in a motorhome 36' and had just enough room to pull our slideouts out.

Oh my. This was a very bad experience for us. And don't let this oceanview fool you. This is a parking lot and they pack so many people in there that we could only pull out 1 side of our slideouts. They were way dog unfriendly. You couldn't walk them anywhere but on one little piece of dirt and we were really sad because our dog is part of our family. Ranger Bob, that is not really his name, but he was like on the watchout for us. He yelled at us because we took our dog outside this zone and then again because I, a adult didn't have a helmet on with my scooter that went 10 miles an hour, I never even went that fast. The kids can ride skateboards and bikes 20 mph though with no helmets. A trailer that parked next to us pulled his slideout and you could barely slide a piece of paper between his side and ours. It was scary, although they were nice. Also you can't fit you're car on your site obviously and the closest place to park is about 3 miles down the road. Yes that is my review and never will we go back here. Zero stars.
