Millersylvania State Park, Olympia, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Nice State Park. We were in the newer section with water/electric. All utilities worked well. AT&T and Verizon worked. No satellite coverage. Nice long pull-thru sites with utilities are "premium" so a little more expensive. Worth it. There is a lake that is a ways from the campground. Probably the only thing we didn't like (besides not having sewer) was how many occupants they allow on each site. There were many tents/rigs/vehicles that just made the place look packed. It was a good location for us to explore Olympia. Probably wouldn't stay there again. We camped at Millersylvania State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Stevens State Park, Hammond, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Huge park and the grounds are kept up very well. Water pressure was low, but all other utilities worked fine. No satellite coverage. AT&T and Verizon were both marginal. The sites are good sized. Lots to do in the park, but not close to the campgrounds. Pretty much have to drive or ride bikes to wherever you want to go. The mosquitos were horrible even during the day. Looks like you could have multiple tents and vehicles along with the rig on each site as some sites were really full. We camped at Fort Stevens State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Netarts Bay Garden RV Resort, Tillamook, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice RV park, but does have some issues. The grounds are kept looking very nice. Water pressure was fair, all other utilities good. Didn't use WIFI but were told at the office it is very slow. Had a nice laundry and only $1 for washers and dryers. They are upgrading the office. Main complaints are the sites are VERY narrow and the utility pole was very close to the drive. We had to park in front of the pole to get out slides out. Had to put a cone out in front of the rig as we were barely in the road. We were not the only ones. Also had to move the picnic table off the patio to get our slides out on that side. We were in the upper area and I am thinking there are some sites down below that the utility pole is further back. Just make sure they know if you have slides. The other complaint was probably not the parks fault, but the trash truck came through at 5:45am! We were parked right across from the trash dumpsters and there were several dumpsters to dump so we were wide awake before they were through. AT&T coverage not good, Verizon was weak. Where we were at, we could get satellite, but would be tough at other sites. We camped at Netarts Bay Garden RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tillicum Beach Campground, Yachats, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Water/electric only sites and no dump station. It was an excellent location right on the beach. The utilities worked fine, but water pressure was very low. Satellite coverage but no Verizon or AT&T signal. It was great to hear the roar of the ocean and be so close to the beach. The park is nice, but it really isn't big rig friendly. Sites are very short. We only fit into our site because we could back up all the way to the curb stop, and then we barely had room for our truck. Was really surprised they did not have a dump station. We were parked next to a restroom and the door would slam every time someone opened it. The location can't be beat, but the campground needs some improvements. We camped at Tillicum Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Sunset Bay State Park, Coos Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Not as nice as other Oregon State Parks we've been in, but ok. Water/electric sites. Was able to get satellite coverage. No phone or internet. You can't see the ocean/bay from the campground. There is a tunnel to walk under the highway to the beach, but it was muddy when we were there. Easy to get into the sites. Had to T-bone the truck. Probably main issue we had was they had a sign saying they were having problems with theft. We probably wouldn't stay here again due to the theft issues and no phone/internet coverage. We camped at Sunset Bay State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Harris Beach State Park, Brookings, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. Lots of trees, but we were able to get satellite coverage. All utilities worked well. Private with shrub between sites. So nice to have FHU at a State Park. We were in a site that was more of a 90 degree angle to park in and had to work at it, but most sites are angled. Would definitely stay here again. Could not get a signal for Verizon or AT&T. We camped at Harris Beach State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mad River Rapids RV Park, Arcata, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice RV Park. Really well kept up. Unfortunately, they are having issues with bicycle theft and have a sign mentioning to leave your bikes at the office. Ours are a pain to get off, but since they are new, we decided to leave them. That night another camper who didn't, had theirs stolen. Very disappointing that they have this issue going on, know about it and can't get it stopped. Put up a gate or security? We did not feel comfortable knowing they have theft issues. We would not stay here again. We camped at Mad River Rapids RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Casa De Fruta RV Orchard Resort, Hollister, California

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

As many people have already mentioned, the spaces are extremely close together. We were there when there wasn't many campers and no one was beside us. We used the extra space to park our truck as there wasn't really enough room once we unhooked. All utilities worked well, even the WIFI. They keep the place looking nice. It is all asphalt, and due to the many trees, there are areas of asphalt that are raising up, so may be an issue for leveling on some sites. We had no trouble getting satellite coverage and our phones had good coverage with AT&T. There are lots for the kids to do. We did use the laundry and it was filthy! Also was very pricey. Ended up getting black stuff on my new white pants. It stunk really bad in the laundry. We would probably stay here again if it is an off-season. Would not want to be there when it is crowded. We camped at Casa De Fruta RV Orchard Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

A Country RV Park, Bakersfield, California

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice RV park right off Hwy 58. We thought it might be noisy but it wasn't bad at all. We were there on a weekend and noticed a little more noise on Monday morning. The park is immaculately clean. Sites are concrete. They have cable and WIFI at each site. All utilities worked well. Nice pet walk area. Very easy on and off the highway. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at A Country RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Preferred RV Resort, Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a really nice park for the area. There are lots of trees, unfortunately we were there at a time the sap was dripping a little. All utilities worked well and were located well. We were able to get satellite with no problems. WIFI worked well. Laundry was clean and inexpensive. There are lots of things to do in the park along with activities but we did not participate. There were lots of permanent residents but everyone was friendly. Probably the only reason I haven't rated this park higher is the number over very old RV's in the park make it look rundown. There was trash left at our site from the previous RV'er. I do recommend the back-ins if you want space between you. The pull-thru sites are closer together. We camped at Preferred RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are extremely close together, literally inches from your neighbors slide-out and no place to park vehicles but in the road. Not enough space for everyone to park their vehicle in front of their rigs. Very loud from traffic noise, sirens, etc. Very confusing when setting up reservations I thought I was booking the KOA on the south side of Sam's. Unless you know there are 2 parks, you wouldn't know any different. I booked from one site and no mention of which park I was in on the confirmation. I though Nellis was one of the loops, didn't know it was a whole different park. Very expensive for what you get here. No gate on the front entrance. We had to back down the road from the office to get to our site. Utilities worked fine, no trees so satellite coverage was good, WIFI was good. We definitely would not stay here again. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town in a Fifth Wheel.

Rancho Verde RV Park, Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice little RV park in a residential area. Very clean, easy to get satellite coverage. Dog walk area for the pets. The laundry was clean and reasonable prices. Probably our only issue was with the long-term not having much room for their vehicles, they park in front and if the gentleman had not moved before we left, we were going to have to ask him to move to get our rig out. Luckily he left before we were ready to go. Our electric kept dropping out on us and fluctuating quite a bit. We had a power monitor and it ended up shot after all the fluctuations. We would stay here again as it was nice and friendly people. The $35 rate is 50 amp ($2/day more) and a weekly rate. I believe they were Good Sam too for nightly rates. We camped at Rancho Verde RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Saguaro Co-op Park - Escapees Park (members only), Benson, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice SKP park. Most sites are held be leaseholders who can make many nice improvements on their sites. Ours had a concrete pad to park on and bricked patio. Everyone was very friendly. We took advantage of the $50/week as first-timers here. Very nice laundry, only $1/wash and .75/dry. All utilities worked well, including the free WIFI. Cable available at sites too. Someone led us to our site and helped us park. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Saguaro Co-op Park - Escapees Park (members only) in a Fifth Wheel.

SKP park, not very attractive, but ok for a night or two. All utilities worked well. There was significant noise from the interstate. Sites were level. Harry McAdams Campground, Hobbs, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice city park. No reservations accepted. We arrived late afternoon on a Friday and there were 4 spots open. There are about 20 in the whole park. It is on the honor system (or at least in Nov) where you leave your money in an envelope. Very quiet and dark. They had just put the Christmas lights up in the park and it was beautiful. All utilities worked well, even the WIFI. We'd definitely stay here again. We camped at Harry McAdams Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
