Cottonwood Point COE, Marion, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Great COE Park. Huge sites with water/electric. All utilities worked well. Satellite coverage and phone coverage were good. They do have FHU in some sites but we were only 3 nights so didn't use. Sites were a little sloped from front to back. We camped at Cottonwood Point COE in a Fifth Wheel.

North Star RV Park and Mobile Home Community, Valley Center, Kansas

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this park several times as it is close to relatives. It is a great one-night stop, and not bad if you need a place to stay for business/family. It is not a destination stop. All utilities work well, WIFI is fair. Only a mile off the interstate, and the noise isn't bad at all. The owner is always there to guide us in. The sites could use some leveling and he was waiting for rock to be delivered (although we've heard that several times now). The park has some old playground equipment and really just needs a facelift, but a really great park for a short stay. We camped at North Star RV Park and Mobile Home Community in a Fifth Wheel.

Mill Creek COE, Lampe, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the best COE parks we have stayed in. Extremely large paved sites, utilities all worked well. Satellite coverage was good. AT&T and Verizon worked well. If it were FHU, it would be a 10. Probably the most noise you hear is from the people pulling their turd buckets to the dump station. This is a really great park and early reservations are a must if you want to stay a week. We stayed 4 nights which is about as far as we can get on without dumping or using the public restrooms. We camped at Mill Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park, Carthage, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. All utilities worked well. The laundry was spotless. $2.25/washer, .25 for 7 minutes of drying. Just a little road noise, but not bad at all. We stayed here 2 nights and would definitely stop again if in the area. The only thing that would make it better for us was the shade. It was quite hot while we were there, and the shade would've been really nice. Great park! We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stockton City Park, Stockton, Kansas

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Very nicely kept up city park. Sites are gravel and fairly level with w/e, ours had 50 amp service, and there is a dump station available. Utilities all worked well. We only stayed a night, but satellite would've worked here. We picked up a free WIFI (maybe the city WIFI) and it worked great. If you are coming from the west, US24 was closed and we had to make a 28 mile detour. Wish they would've told us that when we reserved a spot and we could've picked a different route. Paying is on the honor system. There was only one other camper there. Would definitely stay here if in the area again. There was nothing to do in town....even the Pizza Hut is only open Thurs-Sun! We camped at Stockton City Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Area's Finest Country View Campground, Ogallala, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 3 nights and really enjoyed it! Very nicely kept up park. It was easy off I-80 but very little noise. The sites are very long and mostly level, all utilities worked well, WIFI was great, AT&T and Verizon had good signals. They offer cable as there are no OTA, but we didn't use it. We didn't use the laundry but peeked in and it was clean. The campground looked full almost every night and then would be almost empty in the morning, so a lot of over-nighters. There is really a lot to see in this little town. This was really a great park with lots of sites. We camped at Area's Finest Country View Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Robidoux RV Park, Gering, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice city park in Gering. Sites are huge, some with shade. Both back-in and pull-thru. We were only here 1 night but really enjoyed it. The utilities worked well. We were in a w/e, pull-thru site. They do have cable available at some sites. WIFI is free as it is very iffy whether it works. It wasn't working while we were there. Scotts Bluff National Monument is very close and we enjoyed that. Would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Robidoux RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort, Evansville, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We were only here one night. We had to pay for a fhu site, even though we only wanted w/e. Utilities worked well. We were close to the office so got marginal WIFI. It is mainly available in the office/patio area. We had no shade and it was mid 90's. It is easy to get to off the I-25. Gravel sites, it is very dusty. There is a train very close, we heard it a couple of times between 10-11 pm....very loud horn! Not sure what the factory is next door, but they did put us on the other side of the office as they said they would be running that night and it is a little loud. Appreciative they did that. There is everything shopping/restaurant-wise nearby. We camped at River's Edge RV & Cabins Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Peter D's RV Park, Sheridan, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This place is great for a 1 night stay. All utilities worked well, including WIFI. The down side is the noise from the highway and occasionally the train, no trees for shade and sites are very close together. We had about 6" between us and the neighbor when we put out our awning. With mid 90 temps, we really needed the awning out. The other odd thing was we were told to pull our rig to the front of the lot, unhook and park our truck behind. Not sure why? Then when we went to leave, you are blocking the road (that there is no entry to except through another lot). We decided to wait til others were gone to leave as we saw them waiting on each other. There is lots to do in Sheridan and the owner was very helpful in directing us places. The park is nicely maintained. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The Inn at Philipsburg RV Park, Philipsburg, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This was a great stop for a couple of nights. The park is beside a motel, right at the edge of town. Easy walk into town. This is an old mining town with just one main road going through it. All sites are FHU, and all utilities worked well. Satellite coverage was good as it is wide open space. Maybe the only down side was it was gravel and windy and dust was blowing everywhere. The laundry had only 1 washer/dryer, $1.50/$1.00 and was very clean. It seemed most people were contract workers, but all sites were kept up very well. It is located on Hwy 1, which we decided to take to get off I-90 for awhile. Great mountain views, deer walking across Main Street, several restaurants, and though we didn't try it, you can pan for sapphire. There are many sapphire shops in town too. Very quiet at night. We camped at The Inn at Philipsburg RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch, Big Timber, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park to relax at. We were in a w/e site at the south end of the park. At first we were disappointed as we thought we had a back-in river site, but after seeing those, we were certainly glad to be where we were. We had tons of space and it felt like being in a park setting. The campground is very nicely kept, and as several have mentioned, the trout ponds look really nice. There is playgrounds for the kids, but other than that, there isn't much in Big Timber to do. All utilities worked well, the WIFI was non-existent at our site. We also couldn't get satellite due to tall trees, and no OTA. We barely had a Verizon signal and no AT&T. This truly is a place to go to just get away from it all. We stayed here 3 nights which seemed a little long as we do like to get out and do things and didn't find much to do. A previous review mentioned the narrow road coming in.....we did meet someone in a car as we were coming in, but there is an area mowed on each side of the drive which made it easy to get by each other. Really no issues with that. The sites that back to the river were very close together. We were in site 64 which would definitely be preferable if you like privacy. We camped at Spring Creek Campground and Trout Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Kahnderosa River Campground, Cataldo, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

I wish I would've paid closer attention to the previous reviews before staying at this park. This park has very low voltage, and we were there when it was in the upper 90's. Everyone was having trouble getting their A/C to work as the power was so low (104 at the lowest). We were in a 50amp site and still had ours drop out due to low voltage with nothing running. Not good on a hot day for sure! Our friends had problems starting as soon as we got there. The owner tried to make them think it was their rig, but then my husband came over with the meter and showed him it was their lines that were the issue. He then said they do have low voltage. This could be a great park if they'd get their electrical issues worked out. They can bring in a bigger service, but must not want to pay to do that. We're full-timers and not interested in ruining our equipment. Obviously, from the previous reviews, they have known this for at least 2 years. Not a very good business practice! Also, they put cones across the driveway so you have to get out and move the cones every time you come in or leave. Not even sure why they are there? If you're by yourself you have to get out to move them, drive thru, then get out to move them back. There is no OTA channels and Verizon and AT&T barely had coverage. We have a satellite and was able to get it as there is also no shade in most sites. Would not stay here again. We camped at Kahnderosa River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Carl Precht Memorial RV Park, Omak, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is a really nice city park right next to the fairgrounds. All utilities worked very well, there was plenty of shade on the pull-thru sites. Did not use the WIFI, but our Verizon MIFI had a good signal as did our AT&T phones. It is easy to get in and out of the sites. It is by reservation, and the park was pretty full while we were there, but we did not know the Omak Stampede was having qualifying runs while we were there. That was fun to watch. There were several people parked in sites that were not theirs (I'm sure this was due to the rodeo). The park host tried to get them to move without luck. Also had some double parked and they refused to pay for 2. Not a lot to do in the Omak area, but we'd definitely stay there again if in the area. We camped at Carl Precht Memorial RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Millersylvania State Park, Olympia, Washington

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Nice State Park. We were in the newer section with water/electric. All utilities worked well. AT&T and Verizon worked. No satellite coverage. Nice long pull-thru sites with utilities are "premium" so a little more expensive. Worth it. There is a lake that is a ways from the campground. Probably the only thing we didn't like (besides not having sewer) was how many occupants they allow on each site. There were many tents/rigs/vehicles that just made the place look packed. It was a good location for us to explore Olympia. Probably wouldn't stay there again. We camped at Millersylvania State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Stevens State Park, Hammond, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Huge park and the grounds are kept up very well. Water pressure was low, but all other utilities worked fine. No satellite coverage. AT&T and Verizon were both marginal. The sites are good sized. Lots to do in the park, but not close to the campgrounds. Pretty much have to drive or ride bikes to wherever you want to go. The mosquitos were horrible even during the day. Looks like you could have multiple tents and vehicles along with the rig on each site as some sites were really full. We camped at Fort Stevens State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
