Trader's Village RV Park, Grand Prairie, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Well ran RV Park. Staff helpful, bathhouses were individual stalls, not the cleanest, but acceptable. Nice laundry facilities (only .75/load to wash and .50/load to dry!) Large pool and lots of shade. Lots of campers, but not a lot of road traffic, so my kiddos played in the roads with no safety concerns. Located between Fort Worth and Dallas. Very tight entrance getting into the park. It is located adjacent to "the world's largest flea markets" so I imagine it could be more congested on the weekends. Camped here in 40' motorhome with family of 7 (teens to toddlers) We camped at Trader's Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Downtown Riverside RV Park, North Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This is honestly just a parking lot with hookups. No grassy areas, not a bit of shade. Located on a very steep riverbank. Not suitable for kids/hanging out. We were just passing through and needed a place to stop, so that was OK. The bathhouse consists of only ONE shower/potty combo. There are several nice motorhomes here and the site is very easy to navigate. There is a gated entry which is nice for security (although the gated entry and our late arrival is what caused an argument with the staff) My issue with this park is the lack of respect for customers. It is very easy to access from the interstate and has a huge walking bridge behind it, but nothing more. Not a "camping" experience at all. We would not return.

We camped in 40' RV with our family of 7. We camped at Downtown Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sugar Sands RV Resort, Gulf Shores, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for (off and on) for a month with our family of 7 in a motorhome. Sites are easy to navigate, place is super clean (it is brand new) and folks were super friendly in the office. Nice pool, kid friendly. Mostly concrete and sunny, with a few grassy areas. The resort offered games, activities, playground, great pool with graduated entry. The thing I loved most was how open/safe it felt. No creepy feeling walking to bathhouse. Oh! and the nicest bathhouse we've used! 6 potties and 4 showers in each building. Nice laundry facilities, reasonably priced washers/dryers. We payed monthly rate of $1000/Month. Not sure of nightly rate. Wi-Fi wasn't the best (but we've yet to find a campground that has great Wi-Fi ). We camped at Sugar Sands RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort , Foley, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Great kid friendly RV park located right off the road and an easy drive (25min) to public beach access. Clean, very safe feeling campground. Nice ceramic bathhouse with 2 showers, 4 toilets. Laundry and clubhouse. There was an ice cream social while we were there. Lots of kids on bikes/playing. Huge waterslide and pool!!! Office staff helpful. And you can store your Camper here for ?$40 month. (But they did go to move ours-tried to charge the wrong battery and ended up disconnecting some battery cables) Wifi was not at all good:( But we will definitely camp here again!! We stayed with our family of 7. (teenagers to toddlers) We camped at Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Wales West RV Resort and Campground, Silverhill, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

This campground has two areas. Be careful when you book, the actual camping area is nice. It is surrounded by a little train. The "lake" they advertise is actually a retention type/man-made pond. No way would we swim in it. We booked to stay a month for the summer at the beach, but the location is NOT at all good. It is 40 minutes to the beach (not the 25 they advertise). The park is located in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by permanent trailers. Our site was honestly a piece of grass with electricity and a pipe coming out of the ground for sewage. The permanent campers around us were not well kept. The area had a very unsafe feel about it. We told management our plans to stay the month had changed and they would NOT refund our $200 deposit we had paid. We camped at Wales West RV Resort and Campground in a Motorhome.
