Mountain Home RV Park, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is really, really nice park. Very attractive, clean and well run. Office was extremely efficient and friendly. Only minor complaint - trees could use a little trimming in the sites used for big RV's although the escort helped us avoid them while pulling in. We were in the park, escorted to our site and setting up within 20 min. of arrival. Site was generous, with grass, a patio and a nice, clean picnic table. Great fenced, attractive dog park, maybe the best I've ever seen. Pool area very pretty, although we did not use it. We will definitely return if we get back to Mountain Home. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park, Quanah, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Attractive park for the area. There are trees, and landscaping around and old cotton gin building nicely landscaped. There is a swimming pool and laundry, 2 multi-gender bathrooms. There are rattlesnakes around - this is West Texas in the summer. They warn you and the area is well mowed, so if you're careful, you should be fine. There is a road runner on guard as well. :) Pleasant stop on the way to the 40. We camped at Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hickory Creek COE, Lewisville, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely park. Lots of walking and biking trails. Very clean. We had trouble with defective circuit breaker on power pedestal. Were moved to another site because maintenance would take a week or longer to repair. Main complaint is 10:00 curfew. Gate locks at 10:00 and there is no access code, so no access after that. Cell service was great on Verizon and AT&T. There is a Pack 'N Mail in Corinth, right near by. They will accept packages for you for a small fee. Very nice and reliable. We camped at Hickory Creek COE in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe RV Park, Apache Junction, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

This park is mostly for park models, but they accommodated us very well. It was partly shut down for the summer months, but there was an on-site manager who was always available and very helpful. Pool & restrooms shut down for the summer, but laundry was open and was clean, functional and fairly priced. We did not use wifi because we had Verizon and it worked well. Residents friendly. Will definitely return in the area. We camped at Santa Fe RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bent Tree RV Ranch, Lampasas, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is an RV park under new management. Park was clean and on-site manager was very helpful. Passport America rate was cash or check. We only stayed one night on our trip to Killeen. Used the laundry which was right next to our RV. Just one washer and dryer, but they worked well. Price was reasonable. Our Verizon worked well, so we didn't miss the WiFi. Only negatives - watch out for tack thorns and some sites were not very level. We camped at Bent Tree RV Ranch in a Motorhome.

Anthony/El Paso West KOA (formerly American RV & Marine Resort & Rally, Anthony, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a big open area with decent electric, water and sewer connections. There is very little landscaping. It was sufficient for an overnight after doing business at Camping World which is right in front of the RV Park. Verizon service was good there. We camped at Anthony/El Paso West KOA (formerly American RV & Marine Resort & Rally in a Motorhome.

Roper Lake State Park, Safford, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a really nice park. The campground is really lovely and well maintained. Birds and other wild life are around and are a lot of fun. Park is close to Safford downtown for shopping. There is fishing in the lake, I understand although we have not gone fishing there. We camped at Roper Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Wells Fargo RV Park, Tombstone, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here several times. It is right on the main street of Tombstone, within easy walking distance of all the major tourist attractions of Tombstone, except Boot Hill which is a little distance away. Verizon worked well there, so we didn't use the WiFi, although it was free. Tombstone is a really fun place, and we always enjoy our stay there. We have always stayed at Wells Fargo RV Park. However, be warned, it can become extremely crowded. The park is fairly small, and there is very little space between sites. When large rigs are parked next to each other, you are literally door to door. This gives you very little privacy and no ability to open your awning or set out a barbeque. They often have to share the pedestal and use a splitter to give each RV 50 amps. We camped at Wells Fargo RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tucson / Lazydays KOA, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a higher end, resort style rv park. The laundry facilities are top of the line, albeit expensive, there is a lovely swimming pool and spa, and a very nice restaurant on site. There is free WiFi, although we did not use it because Verizon was excellent there. There is on site security so we felt very safe. Shopping is relatively near by. We have stayed here on numerous occasions while getting repairs done at near by repair locations. Price does reflect KOA discount. Roads are paved, and landscaping is attractive desert style. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Motorhome.

Raccoon Valley RV Park - Escapees Rainbow Park, Heiskell, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We are Escapees and paid the daily rate of $17.50. We liked this park a lot. Services all worked fine. Verizon worked very well, so we did not try the WiFi. Although there are full time residents there, the park was clean and well organized. We did not see anything that looked tired or messy. Laundry was not large, but clean, reasonably priced, and air conditioned. We were able to go to several locations up in the mountains from here including Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, etc. One comment about arriving at park. DO NOT take the route our GPS recommended, which was to take 162 up from exit 376 off the 40. DO take directions that send you up the 75 to 170 which is Raccoon Valley Rd. 170 from the 162 is narrow, many low trees and a very scary overpass. We barely made it through: one lane to get under it. We camped at Raccoon Valley RV Park - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Motorhome.

Soaring Eagle Campground & RV Park, Lenoir City, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for one night. Campground was rather large and pretty. Spaces were fairly close together, but adequate to allow slides out. Management was very helpful and responsive. The space we were assigned had a leaking water spigot, and they fixed it immediately. Campground is immediately off the freeway so freeway noise was noticeable but it did not keep us awake. There is a nice little store on site where they sell ice cream, sodas, beer, etc. Verizon was ok, but not great. Did not use laundry, or other facilities. We camped at Soaring Eagle Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Aire RV Park & Campground, Hollywood, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park. We stayed at Passport America rates and appreciated being allowed to stay an unlimited amount of time at that rate. All services worked well. Laundry was ok. 2 large cap washers, one of which didn't work. 1 small washer that worked. Dryers were adequate for the size of laundry. Area was well maintained. We had fun with the ducks that ran around the park. Verizon was not very good. Adequate for a call, but data quite slow. Not far from Charleston. We stayed here while seeing Fort Sumter, Yorktown, Charleston Museum, etc. Manager of park was very nice. They gave us coupons for Gilligan's, a nice seafood restaurant nearby where food was very good. We camped at Lake Aire RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Hardeeville RV, Hardeeville, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2012 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at Passport America rates. Pro's for this park: level, generous spaces. Very grassy, but maintained well. Drainage was good in spite of lots of rain. Lots of trees in part of the park. We stayed in open area and were able to get good satellite service. They do have cable for those who don't have satellite. Easy to get into Savannah for tourist activities. Laundry was ok. 2 large cap washers $2.00 each, 3 or 4 other washers, $1.25 each. 6 dryers, 3 of which don't work. $1.75 (I think) for each dry. There are 2 laundry rooms. Never saw the other. Cons: We never spoke to a person associated with park management in the 7 days we stayed. There was one man doing weed-whacking. Someone did come into the office each day to pick up checks, briefly, but all check-ins are pick a space, fill out a form, leave check. Hence, the park feels like no one is running it. Everything is well organized, but feels distant. Only check or cash for payment. Lots of road noise from 315, but you get used to it. Verizon was terrible here, although their site says should be full coverage at this address. They do have free WiFi which worked most of the time. We felt we got good value for our money. We camped at Hardeeville RV in a Motorhome.

J.O.Y. RV Park (formerly Sonrise Village RV Resort), Cocoa, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The rate paid is a weekly rate. This is a very nice RV park in Cocoa. Shopping and most restaurants are in Cocoa Beach about 10 miles away. Park is well managed, attractive. Laundry is excellent. 8 washers and 8 dryers: all work. $1.50 for wash & $.75 for dry. Laundry is very clean. Management very helpful. We stayed here while going to Kennedy Space Center, Disney World, Universal Orlando, and other attractions. Pool is clean and well maintained. We will definitely come back. Verizon is excellent here. Lots of toll roads in area, so be prepared with change. We camped at J.O.Y. RV Park (formerly Sonrise Village RV Resort) in a Motorhome.

Larry & Penny Thompson Park & Campground, Miami, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park with full hookups. Laundry is excellent. Park is quiet and they seem to do a good job of managing the park. Neighborhood isn't the greatest, but we felt safe in the park. We were fairly close to stores and tourist locations. Very close to Florida Turnpike. Verizon worked here although a little slow for data. Park environment is very nice. Lots of well cared-for grass and trees. Easy access to satellite for Direct TV. We would stay here again. We camped at Larry & Penny Thompson Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
