Jantzen Beach RV Park, Portland, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Great location just off I-5 on an island in the Columbia River, no view-but walking path nearby has great views of industrial river traffic. Our Space was very tight getting in and out of. 45 ft with tag. Nice grass and picnic table, good service hookups. Our BIG complaint was a mature plum tree dropping fruit all over the drive and grass. NO ONE had cleaned for several days. They were resurfacing a road in front of the office and that was their excuse for NOT cleaning up. We raked it all to the curb where it sat for 3 days. And we continued hosing it all to the curb every day we were there. They even mowed our lawn and still left the pile of plums--collecting dozens of bees. We put it all in a trash bag and they STILL didn't collect that. On our last day, I called to say how disappointed I was that no one had ever cleaned up. It was semi-cleaned within 2 hrs, but we would NOT stay again. The plum tree NEEDS TO GO! They aren't even the edible kind. Also, many long term residents who parked large trucks 1/2 in the street, making navigating a bit more difficult. We camped at Jantzen Beach RV Park in a Motorhome.

Timberline Campground (formerly Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resor, Goodfield, Illinois

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Large Park...now Timberline Campground. Many FT campers. Large site for pull thru. Rainy while we were here, but drainage was good. Lots of grassy places to walk dogs. No Good Sam discount now, so they gave us military....even though we aren't. No WiFi or cable TV, but good satellite reception. Pool just opened, lots of play areas for kids. Off the freeway, but no noise. Small pond for fishing. We camped at Timberline Campground (formerly Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resor in a Motorhome.

River Ranch RV Resort, New Braunfels, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Park is changing owners, so it was difficult to reach anyone. We arrived on the day of a bad storm and some people had been told earlier to leave due to flooding. When we arrived, the storm was downgraded so we stayed and had no flooding. The river is right there and has a small boat ramp. Also the FWY is right above you. Nice dog park with bags. Ducks and squirrels to keep you entertained. No pool. Seemed really pricey considering the FWY noise and no pool. But close to relatives, so good for a few days. Level, cement pads with a table at each and a little grass. Very clean grounds. We camped at River Ranch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Smokin' Joe's Rib Ranch and RV Park, Davis, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Fairly new sites. Still building the showers and restrooms. Nice laundry building. No pool but lots of grass for kids to run and play. Delicious BBQ Restaurant at front of property. Level, gravel sites with plenty of room in between. Good cable reception. Very friendly owner! Stayed one night and would go back. Off I-35, but far enough that there is no noise. Beautiful country setting. We camped at Smokin' Joe's Rib Ranch and RV Park in a Motorhome.
