Paradise Shores RV Park, Bridgeport, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this park many different times; usually in May and October. I have been there once in July....many bugs...not so in May and October. The owners are very nice folks and will do whatever they can to offer assistance if you require it. They usually make improvements to their park every year. Although fire pits at the sites are not provided, you can use your portable pit to enjoy a fire. The owners are willing to work with you if you must make a late cancellation. Their WiFi is OUTSTANDING! They have a fish cleaning station within the park. We will always stay here when coming to the Bridgeport area. The only negative is that they do not offer cable TV. That is not a show stopper in our opinion. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great place if you like to fish. Many different places to fish within a reasonable driving distance including, of course, Bridgeport reservoir. Check out Bodie and the many backroad adventures.

Cedar City KOA, Cedar City, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Typical KOA. We were forced to stay here because of a mechanical breakdown. As always, KOA is very pricey. The park was fine. The folks working here were very friendly and helpful. Kudos to the gentleman who worked with us because he knew we had a problem with our tow vehicle. Had to walk a bit to have my dog reach the grassy area, but not too far. We camped at Cedar City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Leadville RV Corral, Leadville, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a no frills park. Gravel sites and not always level. No cable TV. WiFi spotty. Sites are close together. However, it was easy to get in and out. Your first look does not leave a good impression. I probably would not stay here for a week; but for three nights it was fine. It's not great for socializing. I never did see the owner/manager, but he has folks in the park help him out. They were very friendly. We were right across the street from a bar. We thought it might be noisy...no issue. We have previously stayed in Sugar Loafin RV park nearby. Between the two, we would rather stay here at the Corral. We camped at Leadville RV Corral in a Fifth Wheel.

Lazy Acres Campground & Motel, Riverside, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We had a nice site, close to the river. Lots of trees and grass. I believe we had only 30 amp but that was fine because we did not use the A/C. WiFi was good. Cell service is very good. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They guided us into our site. There was an issue with one tree limb; the owner took care of it. He brought us a fire ring at our request. We did not have a sewer hookup because I had not reserved early enough. It worked out OK. The owner will provide you a portable tank to dump if you need it. We had a flat tire on our rig. The owner helped us take that off, and put on the spare. He drove me to a garage to get the flat repaired; then he took me back to the park. Trash disposal is very handy. Needless to say, we would definitely stay here again. The one caveat is mosquitoes. They are quite prevalent between late June and late August - just an FYI. No real grocery stores nearby. I recommend you arrive well stocked with what you need. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground & Motel in a Fifth Wheel.

Greys River Cove RV Park, Alpine, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We used this park as a base to tour the Grand Tetons. Sites were very compact, with a gravel base and not level. There was a strip of grass along the fence line about 40 feet behind our rig. That worked for our small dog. No cable TV; the WiFi was fair at best. The trash dumpster (only one) was a good walk away. Although it rained for almost 36 hours straight while we were there, the sites did not flood - that was a good thing. We thought it pricey for what we received. I'm sure it has to do with proximity to Jackson Hole and the Tetons. Not sure if we would stay here again. We camped at Greys River Cove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

RedRock RV Park, Island Park, Idaho

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

As others have noted, this park is five miles off the highway which is OK. It is quiet. Sometimes you see wildlife crossing the road to the park. The staff is very helpful and friendly - will guide you into your spot. The spaces have ample room and you have a lawn that sits between you and another RV. It's wonderful if you have a dog. It's a bit pricey but we felt it was worth it. Living without TV didn't bother us. They are very strict about their refund policy. So check it out before you reserve. We would stay here again. This is a good option if you plan to tour Yellowstone NP. We camped at RedRock RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

No large grocery stores nearby. However, Robin's Roost, about 4 miles south on HWY 20 has a decent selection of basic items. The fishing in nearby Henry's fork lake was spotty at best.

Snowy Peaks RV Park, Buena Vista, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is a fine park. Long sites, wide enough, and green grass at your site. We had a premium pull thru and were very satisfied. There is some road noise with our site 58. Most sites have firepits - if you want one they will make one for you. The WiFi is so so as well as the cable. Picture was not always clear. You can't have everything. The folks running this park are very friendly and most helpful. We have stayed here before and will stay again. The fishing in the area is outstanding. We camped at Snowy Peaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Go to Hi-Rocky for your fishing needs. They also have a good amount of "Colorado" clothing. This store also sells "radio shack " merchandise.

The "City Market" is very good for your supermarket needs. The nearest WalMart is in Salida.

Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground, Salina, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The quoted rate above is the total price with tax for 50 amp with a discount. This is a good stopover place if you're traveling on I70. The sites are gravel and mostly level. Our site was plenty long and wide. No cable TV, only antenna. WiFi is only available in the office area. Although well off the interstate, there is road noise from US50. There is a nice grassy area for pets. The west side of the park is for permanent residents with mobile homes. We have stayed here many times for an overnight and would do so again. I'm not sure if I would stay here for a longer period, like a week. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tamarack RV Park, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We reserved over 3 months in advance. Because of nearby trees, the site they gave us was very difficult to access with a 40' rig. We had to do a lot of maneuvering to get in there. They should be more considerate and provide easier access sites for larger rigs. The site was also very narrow. The good thing is that Costco was right around the corner and a FANTASTIC sporting goods store called "Black Sheep" was right next to COSTCO. We camped at Tamarack RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Jones High Country RV, Nephi, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Not much to this park but the price is right. No cable. It's great for an overnighter. There is some grass between the sites which is nice. It's not always easy to reach the owners by phone - usually got a machine with a generic message. However, you can just show up and take a site. We camped at Jones High Country RV in a Fifth Wheel.

Bearmouth Chalet RV Park , Clinton, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

The folks working the place were very nice and helpful. We knew about the negatives before staying here. There are no sewer hookups because they are near the river, however there is a dump station. A problem is the restrooms are located only at the main building. So, if you are at the other end of the campground, you have a looong walk! The site was level with grass between the actual sites. There is a railroad track across the river and it is active with train horns. We didn't really hear any horns at night though. In June, the Clark Fork river had a great deal of moss in it - that was disappointing. I don't think we would stay here again unless it was only one or two nights. If you have a diesel rig, know that the nearest station is approx 15 miles away! We camped at Bearmouth Chalet RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

LaSalle RV Park, Columbia Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

The site was rather short, couldn't get the truck into spot with 40' coach. Owner complained if tires were touching the "grass"...such as it was. Water pressure was not consistent. The restrooms in the main building were very old and could use remodeling. Also, they had a bathroom smell if you know what I mean. That said, it was still a value because we stayed on a weekly rate. It is a good place to stay if you are touring the Glacier Park area. It is one of the few places in the area that allows campfires. We camped at LaSalle RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Beaver KOA, Beaver, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We didn't stay here by choice. A mechanical issue caused us to stay here. The place is nice enough but way overpriced for the location. That's why we typically do NOT stay at KOAs. While traveling through Nevada, Utah, Idaho, and Montana, this was the highest priced campground where we stayed. We camped at Beaver KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The folks working the place are very nice and helpful. They provide an electronic key to open the security gate. It's a typical desert area park although they do have a smallish grass area for pets.
