Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park, Carthage, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Great smaller park. This park is a resurrection of an old Highway 66 mobile home park. Only thing remaining are two buildings that have been completely renovated for use as office and shower/laundry. Sites are wide and long for pull through. As a note about site length. We were towing a four wheel car trailer behind our 31' MH. Still had plenty of room to park an additional car we had for local transportation. All utilities are new and working. Shower and laundry are absolutely spotless.

One of the best parks we have stayed at for a long time. Will definitely be back. The hosts were extremely pleasant and helpful. We camped at Camp Mi Casa on the Route RV Park in a Motorhome.

Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park, Santa Rosa, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Needed a one night stay on way to Albuquerque. Found this park in Good Sams listing. Pleasant surprise as this appears to be a well kept park. If you can get past the "brusk" attitude of the owner, who is quite nice once you get settled. Sites are level, gravel with full hookups Being in NM be ready for a dusty stay. Would certainly stay here again. We camped at Santa Rosa Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

They have a nice restaurant at the park although the hours are limited and need to be checked. You are given a menu of their offerings at check-in, although not everything is available. It is handy if you are walking.

The Vineyards, Grapevine, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

An outstanding park with mostly concrete slabs, fire rings and in some cases covered picnic tables. After getting through the DFW traffic this was almost a bit of heaven. Airplane noise was only minor and of not concern. The staff have done a wonderful job of resurrecting this park after the previous year floods. Have a nice playground for the kids. All sites have some sort of water view of Lake Grapevine. As it is near our kids we will definitely be back. Make reservations as far in advance as possible. The web site is very friendly and interactive. We camped at The Vineyards in a Motorhome.

What can be said of the DFW area. There is every type of activity as long as you are willing to fight the traffic which only is getting worse.

Wickham Park Campground, Melbourne, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This park came as a complete surprise. We had visited other RV parks along the east coast in the Cocoa Beach area, and they were almost all relics from the height of the space age. We were fortunate to get a 3 week reservation in late August. This park has something for everyone. As our stay was over the Christmas holidays, there is a light show around the park which attracts visitors from all over the area. Lots of activities and great restaurants around the area. We have a 5 week reservation for 2017/2018. We camped at Wickham Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Fiesta Key RV Resort, Long Key, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Our first stay, but not the last. Very please with overall park condition and efforts to improve. Park is an old KOA park so some sites are short. We are in a 31' motorhome, site length 35', however width is sufficient for slides and parking beside rig. All sites have concrete pad. Interior roads are paved and in good condition. Nice walk around park and concrete along water front. Good restaurant on site. Pool is very nice. Encore is making efforts to update this rv park. On site restaurant has limited but varied menu. Prices reasonable. The park takes up the entire land with water all around. Will definitely stay here again, already making plans. We camped at Fiesta Key RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Flamingo Lake RV Resort, Jacksonville, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects a special rally rate. We camped here as part of a organized rally, which has been done for four previous year. This park is the closest to the downtown area of Jacksonville. It is a well operated park, very friendly and a pleasure at which to stay. Previous comments about the closeness of some sites in the older (north side) of the park. Our rally was on the south side of the lake, which is nearer to I-95. All sites are pull through, level gravel. Full services plus TV cable and good free WiFi is available. We have already booked next year's rally at this park. We camped at Flamingo Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Walkabout Camp & RV Park, Woodbine, Georgia

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

A smaller owner operated rv park. Interior roads and sites gravel. Only took minor adjustments to level rig. Easy to setup satellite dish, however some sites may have tree obstruction. Management very friendly and helpful. Small but very nice laundry facilities. Close to I-95 but far enough away to be quiet. Great dog walk through woods and around abandoned housing project, lots of paved streets no houses so easy walking. Pool is well maintained and inviting, except for air temperature. First visit but will return when in this area. Rate represents RPI membership rate. We camped at Walkabout Camp & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Southern Trails Resort, Unadilla, Georgia

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Low rate due to RPI membership. This park accepts quite a few membership type of cards. Originally a KOA park. No provisions for sale in office. Limited activities for long term tenants. Very enjoyable Miniature Golf facility. During pecan growing season, a great place to pick pecans from the ground. We have stayed here several other times, and are very satisfied with this park. Would recommend to anyone. We camped at Southern Trails Resort in a Motorhome.

Yellowhammer RV Sales and Campground, Clanton, Alabama

Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This campground accurately represents it's name. This is a new RV park, well kept with everything at the site working. Sites are level gravel. Interior roads are also level and gravel. Stayed three nights. Outstanding feature for us was the dog walk. It goes all around the lake with level paths. There is also a small dog park. This is a pet friendly and human friendly park. Will stay here in the future. We camped at Yellowhammer RV Sales and Campground in a Motorhome.

Motel 6 & Brinkley RV Park, Brinkley, Arkansas

Date of Stay: December, 2012 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

There may be some confusion in which park this represents. It is on the north side of I-40 behind a Motel 6. There is a excellent Mexican restaurant in the office complex. My overall rating represents the poor maintenance in this park. It does have concrete slabs in all sites and concrete roads. The far right row of sites have full hookup with 30amp power. We have stayed at this park more often than any other in our 12 years on the road. Main reason is location from home (easy long day of travel), plus the Mexican restaurant. Good for overnight, but would not want to stay much longer at a time. We will definitely stay here in the future for the reasons noted. Point of interest: don't try the RV park on the south side of I-44. It also is behind a motel. We stayed there once and were concerned we wouldn't be able to get out, due to the poor roads. We camped at Motel 6 & Brinkley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Atlanta West Campground, Austell, Georgia

Date of Stay: December, 2006 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Old KOA RV park. Recent efforts have cleaned up the park considerably. We have stayed here during the past three years. Have seen the river flood the lower elevated sites during hurricane Ivan. No amenities but with the lack of RV parks on the west side of Atlanta this place will do. Good water pressure, only needed 30 amp power, sewer works fine. Staff very friendly but only there part of each day, time is posted. Nothing in way of supplies in office. Will stay there again in the future. We camped at Atlanta West Campground in a Motorhome.
