Visited here on one of their ESCAPE weekends. All meals included; including Saturday night steak and lobster, Sunday brunch: all meals. Check in any time Friday, love that. LATE check out Sunday (4pm). Waterfront boats are included. Mini golf included. Carousel included. Sites are amazingly clean. Staff always raking and emptying fire pits. Pool very clean with great hours. Staff were attentive and helpful with the exception of the office manager who on two occasions was very abrupt to her co-worker who was in training. Long walk from waterfront to the rec hall, across RT 118. Bring bikes or car if possible. Can not wait to book this place again. There are so many different types of sites: shelters, mini kitchens and bathrooms on EACH site, cabins, park models, more. If you leave dissatisfied or hungry, its your own fault. One other thumbs down. The pool area should be non-smoking. People were flicking their ashes and putting out their cigs on the concrete pad, though they took their butts when they left. Still is wicked nasty.

The shower/bath houses were clean, but need some serious updating. They need heat also. Free showers are a plus. Office staff are slow as molasses! Made me feel like I was in Georgia or something. They are polite, but incredibly slow. Camp rents these real nice pedal cars: adults and kids loved them. A special treat for our four legged campers: a fenced in doggy play area! That was A+! Laundry rooms were clean and very inexpensive. Rec hall is beautiful. Roads are nice for bike riding even though they are not paved.

For those saying it is the best ever, they haven't camped in New England. It is, however the best of all we saw in FL. Staff is friendly? The Ranger Station staff need a pot or two of coffee first I guess. Laundry rooms need change machines. You can only get change from the Ranger Station, hopefully she will help you out. The sites are nice, private & roomy. Pool was warm, kids loved spending the holidays out of New England weather and in their heated pool. Caution, if the snowbirds are having their water aerobics, you have to wait. Thankfully my boys are patient -- one solid hour they sat & waited. We did receive a flyer on our rig, asking if we wanted to various activities and it invited us to the weekly activities meeting. I think the snowbirds are doing this on their own, it didn't appear to be CG organized. We missed our typical night time campfires at our sites. They have these community pits but who wants to schlep kindling and wood all over? There is a grocery store 3 miles away, not 15 miles as previously noted, and its not a new one. Nearby do not miss Homasassa Springs Wildlife Park, Rainbow RIver boat cruises, Withlacochee River, we drove to Orlando for dinner one night & to Kennedy Space Center too. Be sure to swim at Rainbow Springs Headsprings in Dunnellon. Overall a nice place, but there is not much to compare to. Oh, the lake is gross & there are gators there. There is a huge sign posted.

Camped here based on a friends suggestion. We have a long history of camping; but mostly at "resort" style places. This CG is not a resort, but it doesn't lack in cleanliness, friendliness of staff, pool, store, laundry and playground. For a holiday weekend (Labor Day) we expected planned activities that our sons could attend, but there really are not any. When I asked the front desk they replied that there just isn't enough interest; but not to miss the Clown & pancake breakfast! Both were terrific! The clown has been coming there for some 20 years plus they say! Bath house (yes only one) was always clean and I used it at very different times of the day. Pool was very clean. Playground was safe. Sites are not so level and this CG has a lot of hills. No one has mentioned the "off leash dog area." Maybe its new; but my lab (and I) LOVED it! Nice CG with very reasonable rates and great staff.

We camped here with a large Rally group. It happened to be one of their Halloween weekends and it was terrific. Sites were nice, level and roomy. The campground has a lot of hills, so biking for kids was challenging. The pools were covered and closed but the area looks to be large. The staff were very nice, the store was stocked, the rec hall is awesome and the entrance road is great. I understand it was quite difficult before this renovation. Highly recommend this park!

Our second time at this park and again, a terrific experience! The staff, though French speaking, are very friendly. Management was very helpful when we decided to extend our trip, and we didn't want to move sites. They worked on juggling other short stay sites and phoned our cell phone hours later when they were successful. Jet noise? I bought a bumper sticker that says, "I love jet noise" and we do. That is amazing to see and hear all day! My boys (ages 9 & 3) were more than thrilled as they saluted each aircraft, each and every time. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Laundry rooms are being added, thankfully as I have had to wait a very long time each time to wash. Store is well packed. The convenience of the trolley is priceless and also a main reason to camp in VA Beach rather than Myrtle Beach. Pools are clean, safe and can be busy: so chose another one! There are several. Loved the Bingo nights, karaoke nights and the pool side music. Mini golf is a family hit as are the nightly kiddie movies at the outdoor theater. Rates are great and the weekly discount is a bonus. Take advantage of the parking down at the beach, it's close to the beach and price is right. Sites are level, clean and mostly good size. We loved walking through the Super Site section, though we didn't stay in there, as $70 is a little much we think. Our only complaint is that they allow bike riding after dark. This is so dangerous and quite frankly is ultimately the parent's responsibility, but it would be nice if it were an enforced rule. We will return time and time again I am sure.

Camping at this resort is nothing less than SUPER! Staff are helpful and friendly. We arrived late one weekend and the ranger not only escorted us to the site in the pouring rain and darkness, he proceeded to help DH back up and level up! That is service! Of all the times we love Mother's and Father's Day weekends best. Always loads to do, the game room is fun, the computer/business office is nice, the store has saved us many a times, loved watching disk golf, sites can be small but when you reserve, they need all your info: slides, length, etc. The book up fast. They are now taking 2008 (yes, 8) reservations and will sell out holiday weekends then. There is a good reason why they need to be sure you sign the waiver at the pool, trust me. The weight room, Wi-Fi and campers kitchen just add to nearly perfect weekends. Quiet hour, really is quiet hour. This place is a perfect destination, don't use it to spend day triping from, you won't get your $$ worth. Lastly, don't miss the Wrentham Outlets on your out of town.

Never miss the chance to stay here! This place is over the top in all aspects. The location is priceless, the sites are level and clean. Bath houses are numerous and all clean. The beach is fantastic. Then there is the kiddie water park and pools. Oh this place is amazing! Security is around and do not intrude. We had to use their on-site RV repair company: our refrigerator died! Within 1.5 hours of purchasing a new one, it was installed and running! Snack bar is great. Wi-Fi hot spot is awesome. Nothing to frown at here!
