Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort, Grand Island, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $91.00
Overall Rating:

This campground opened in 2010 and it's clear they have worked very hard to make it family friendly. Lots of things to do for kids of all ages. Sites are very spacious and easy to get in and out. The roads are gravel and the gravel to park on in the sites is very short. Our rear wheels were at the end of the gravel which caused our rear jacks to be on grass. All utilities were at the front - and our electric is on a reel at the rear of the trailer, therefore we had to add a 50 amp extension cord in order to plug in. It had rained recently and the ground was soft - and the gravel to park on was soft as well. Water pressure was low, but adequate. We really enjoyed our stay, however for the rates charged I expect paved streets and paved site with a concrete patio. They are still working to improve and expand the campground, so maybe the site amenities will get better over time. The campground is in the country, but only about a mile off the interstate and is only 15-20 minutes from the US side of the falls and 30-40 minutes from the Canada side. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Branches of Niagara Campground and Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Harbortown RV Resort, Monroe, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a full hookup pull-through site. Site was spacious and landscaped well. We did not use any of the facilities, but everything was well maintained and very clean. Easy in and out of site as well as in/out of campground. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Harbortown RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

St Ignace / Mackinac Island KOA, St Ignace, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for 8 nights through July 4th. Sites were spacious. Some shaded. Some open. Stay was very pleasant until the park started filling up for the July 4th weekend. Almost all sites were occupied - and tents were everywhere - with 2 just a few feet from the rear of our 5th wheel. I've seen pictures of Woodstock back in the 70s that weren't as crowded as this place. But, no one got too wild, and quiet time was observed. The office staff were very helpful with area information and called for the shuttle service to the ferry for us. Would stay again, but not on a holiday. We camped at St Ignace / Mackinac Island KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Holiday Park Campground, Traverse City, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the newer section in a pull-through site. All sites in this section are generously spaced and are well landscaped, however, the trees are still young and don't provide any shade. All grounds were well maintained. Easy in and easy out of camp sites. (Not sure about exact rate) We camped at Holiday Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
