Ennis RV Village, Ennis, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful views, easy access and very helpful and friendly staff. Park was easy to navigate and well maintained. Utilities worked great. We had no OTA TV, but AT&T worked great. Restrooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained. Laundry was also very clean. The baked goods available in the office are really yummy! Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Ennis RV Village in a Fifth Wheel.

Virginia City and Nevada City are a must see; the town and people are amazing. There's a meat market in town (Deemo's) that's won a ton of awards - definitely worth the stop. There's plenty to do in the area and we hope to go back someday.

Glendo Lakeside RV Park, Glendo, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Convenient and level sites; very well maintained. The park looks new, but it's been open a number of years. It's very quiet with plenty of parking - even if you bring your water toys/boat for the Glendo Reservoir. Yes this is all gravel, but it's not dusty (reddish river washed gravel I believe they said) and it's quiet. The bathrooms are private, which is nice. The showers are clean, although we didn't use them (uses tokens - not sure how that works). No OTA tv, but AT&T worked great. There's a little bar attached to the office that serves pizza, we didn't try it though. Would stay here again. We camped at Glendo Lakeside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Visit the state park right down the road - it's important to note that this campground is NOT the state park, so the bad review I saw on here was for the state park and not this campground.

Diamond "S" RV Park & Campground, Ronan, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Very convenient with wonderful owners. Park is well maintained and the owners can give great tips on what to see. TV reception was good and AT&T worked great. Some road noise, but nothing major. We stayed here for a few days on the way to Glacier National Park - was a good stopover location. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Diamond "S" RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

St. Ignatius mission is a must see! It's bigger than one would expect and the artwork and history is amazing. Bison range is close. Would have liked to stay a few more days so we could have visited Missoula and Thompson Falls.

North American RV Park & Yurt Village, Coram, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Convenient to the park and cheaper than some others in area. We had no OTA channels and even though we were right by the office the internet was horrible. We used our hot spot thru AT&T - but it didn't work in the back part of the park. Showers and laundry was very clean and laundry was affordable. You can wash your rig for $6 - totally worth it and appreciated. We camped at North American RV Park & Yurt Village in a Fifth Wheel.

Chapman Creek RV Park, Chapman, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Right off of 70; so very convenient. The hosts were some of the nicest we've ever met and the bathrooms and laundry was spotless. AT&T worked good. Even though there's no pool or activities for children (we don't travel with any) it's a great place to stay for a few days. Relaxing and close to shopping if you need to stock up (15 minutes I think). We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Chapman Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park, Wall, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Very convenient and can easily walk to Wall Drug. The laundry room was very clean and affordable, we did two loads while there. Railroad is close and trains run every so often, but didn't bother us at all. AT&T works great and some of the best TV reception (OTA) that we had on the trip. Convenient to the Badlands as well. Sites were pretty level. There's a small pool (seems pretty small for the size of the park) but it was clean. Dog park was larger and nicer than a lot of places. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Yellowstone Valley Inn & RV Park, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Very convenient to Cody and Yellowstone and one of the better ones in the area. Scenery is wonderful. We drove into Cody a few days - there's plenty to do. The pool is VERY small for the park and the hot tub was closed for repairs. We didn't eat at the restaurant; it seemed a bit pricey. The park itself was quiet, no noise from the bar or restaurant. The restrooms and laundry need some repairs and a good cleaning. We would definitely stay here again because of the convenience to Cody and Yellowstone. AT&T service worked great; we had to use our hot spot for Internet and to stream Netflix and such - not much over the air. We camped at Yellowstone Valley Inn & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tomorrow's Stars RV Resort, South Charleston, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Very convenient to 70. The park, staff and residents are wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and the park was very well maintained - except the bathrooms. They were clean, but in desperate need of maintenance and overall repairs. The other issue is the strong iron smell from the water- it's almost overwhelming. The laundry room is also exceptionally small for such a large park. Most of the park is made up of permanents - however there's not a trashy site around. The pool was well maintained, there are plenty of activities and the dog park was pretty nice. We camped at Tomorrow's Stars RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There are a ton of things to do in the area, we were on the way home from a six week trip so we just took two days to rest. We plan on staying there next year for a few days because we really enjoyed the park and people overall. If management would update the restrooms and laundry facility this would be a 10.

Billings Village RV Park, Billings, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access from the interstate and shopping/fuel within 10 minutes. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Blacktop roads and sites - which we really appreciated since so many are gravel and dirt. You can wash your RV for a small additional charge - which we did. All sites are back in; we had no trouble. The only campground we've ever been to that had an outside close line outside the laundry room. No picnic tables, pool, etc - but a great place to stop for a night or two. AT&T worked great. Their WiFi was pretty week so just used out hotspot. Plenty TV channels; cable worked great. Train tracks are close but they were not terribly loud and they weren't constant. Park is clean overall and many of the slots had decent shade (including ours); the trees were not in the way or to low. It is higher than you would expect given the lack of other amenities and early check out time; but we would stay there again. We camped at Billings Village RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Geneseo Campground, Geneseo, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Make sure you don't use GPS directions; there's a 10 foot bridge that you won't get under! Everyone is very friendly and access back to 80 is very easy. The campground is tight with a number of mature trees. If another camper had not moved their truck we would have never made it. Has a foot path access to the canal that runs beside it. The bathrooms were clean; although there is a musty smell. We stayed one night on the way through. We camped at Geneseo Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Candy Hill Campground, Winchester, Virginia

Overall Rating:

It's a nice campground and easy to get to; however the restrooms/showers are a bit rundown and some of the staff are in need of some customer service training. It's pretty easy to navigate; however some of the spots they put people in is REALLY tight. We camped at Candy Hill Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There's plenty of things close to there and they have a game room, laundry, activities and a pool (didn't use so not sure if it was clean). They tend to fill up pretty quick because of local activities - which I assume is why they are not the friendliest staff around (and why they are a bit more expensive than most we stay at). It's pretty enough there and we've stayed twice - the first visit was definitely better than the 2nd visit.

Auburn RV Park at Leisure Time Campground, Auburn, Alabama

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is right off of the highway and pretty convenient to get to; although it can be a little misleading trying to find the actual entrance. It overlooks a softball field so you might be able to watch a little league game when you are there. The sites range from 'down by the river' to more open and mostly gravel on the top part of the park. It can be a little tricky to navigate; but just take your time. The first time we stayed there they let us change sites because there was no way we were going to be able to navigate into the site they originally booked us in. Both times we've stayed the staff has been very friendly and helpful and they offer late check-ins - so you can come in late and just catch up with them the next day to actually check in. There seems to be plenty of things to do in the area; although we've always stayed here while in transit - so both times it was just overnight. We camped at Auburn RV Park at Leisure Time Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

They've recently renovated their restrooms/showers are they are exceptionally clean. Most of the staff is friendly; however a few seemed to be having an off day. We've stayed here several times over the last few years and overall it's one of our favorites. It's easy to get to; plenty of things to do in the area and the sites are pretty nice. The pool was nice and clean. The laundry room was also clean and reasonably priced. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The front part of the park has plenty of shaded slots; which is nice. The back part of the park is newer and lacks the same appeal as the front half - but it's still a very nice park. Overall the other campers have always been friendly and the staff is mostly friendly. This is a convenient place to stop for us when traveling and they offer late check-in if needed. We would definitely recommend and will be staying here again in the future.

Silver Slipper Casino RV Park, Waveland, Mississippi

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This is a no-frills RV park; basically a parking lot with full hook-up, a dedicated trash can and picnic table. What makes it AWESOME as far as we are concerned is how close we are to the beach. The Silver Slipper Casino owns this part of the beach so it's not crowded, it's clean and it's literally right across the two lane road. We always stay in the spots closest to the road - so you can walk out your door, across the two lanes and you are on the beach - can't get much better than that! We stayed here in 2015 and signed up for their Players Club - which gave us two nights free; so that was an even better bargain. The casino has a WONDERFUL buffet; but be warned - the lines are crazy so get there early. Be careful with the directions; the GPS wants to take you through the little town and there's an issue with clearance if you take one of those routes (meaning you will rip the bottom out of your camper) - so be sure to take I10 to 90 to Lake Shore Road (and nothing else). They empty the dedicated trash cans every day and security rolls thru the park in the evenings. They've become more popular so they fill up fast. We really enjoy this spot. We camped at Silver Slipper Casino RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

You can pick up fresh local seafood from the fishing boats; go up to the casino for a wonderful buffet or go into town - all easy enough. You are only 45 minutes or so from New Orleans - we went there for the day. We always stay on the side close to the road; as we've been told the sites in the back get pretty buggy - but we don't know for sure.
