Mustang Island State Park, Port Aransas, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2007 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

While Mother Nature takes her toll on the park, the ranger staff makes every effort to make ones stay pleasant. Salt and sand have their way of aging everything they touches. The park staff was extremely helpful and was always available. The Assistant Park Ranger, Juan Sanchez is one of the most helpful rangers we have come across in our three years of full time RVing. He is certainly an asset to Mustang Island Park. We enjoyed our stay and will certainly return. Whether it will happen or not, a lot of big changes are scheduled for this park and hopefully, they will come true. We camped at Mustang Island State Park in a Motorhome.

Summit Lake State Park, New Castle, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent state park with very big campsites. We stayed with family and had plenty of room between campers to set up screened tent and enjoy company. Nice, brand new playground for kids, nice swimming beach, walking trails and very friendly staff. Excellent place to stay. Only complaint is that bathrooms had lots of peeling paint on walls. Not a big problem but kept me from giving the park a 10. We camped at Summit Lake State Park in a Motorhome.

Saint Andrews State Park, Panama City Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2007 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice and clean state park campground. We stayed at site #10 which was right on the lake with a great view out the back window. Nice and level site and a close walk to restroom/shower facilities. Lots of beach to walk on and a couple of short trails available. We were here during off season so most facilities were closed. Will come back. We camped at Saint Andrews State Park in a Motorhome.

Oak Grove Park (Military FamCamp), Pensacola, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the nicest military rv parks we have stayed at. Large cement pads, restrooms and showers exceptionally clean, friendly staff and just a short walk to the beach. We stayed here a week and would like to have stayed longer. Museum of Naval Aviation within walking distance and is something that shouldn't be missed. Great base and great rv park!!! We camped at Oak Grove Park (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Grand Isle State Park, Grand Isle, Louisiana

Date of Stay: January, 2007 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park right on the Gulf coast. Clean sites with clean restrooms and showers. Still some hurricane damage visible but coming along nice. Park ranger very friendly and helpful. We spent 3 days here and loved walking the beach. Bring lots and lots of bug spray. The mosquitos are unbelievable. Once on the beach and in the wind you could relax. Getting to and from the beach was another matter. The park did spray the last night we were here so don't know how well it worked. Other than the walks on the beach and trips to the town of Grand Isle, we stayed in the RV. We camped at Grand Isle State Park in a Motorhome.
