Foothills RV Park, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

the owners are always on site and take great care of this park. It is not a large RV park, but is one of the best. We love to stay here, it is close to everything, but off the road enough that you don't get a lot of noise. Most of the sites have some shade. Super clean restrooms and laundry. If you are in the area, this is a great place to stay. We camped at Foothills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

You are on the trolley route, close to everything. Traffic on the parkway gets kind of busy during the day, but it is always a relaxing location. The pool is great and there are camping cabins too.

Lake Pines RV Park and Campground, Columbus, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This park has a lot of potential, but it needs a LOT of attention. The interior roads are OK, the sites are not too bad, fairly level with gravel. The park is laid out weird. There is only one small bathhouse in the whole park and it looks to be in severe need to be completely replaced. Signs were up stating they were working on repairs, but you never saw any signs of progress. Most of the buildings are old and need attention. Lots of permanent residents and the RV's in the park are very weathered. Residents (if you saw one) were not too friendly.

The park was nearly full over Memorial Day, but you didn't see any activity. The Good Sam ratings are way off on this one. On the other hand, the staff we spoke to were very friendly. If in the area again, I would look for another place to stay. We actually left a day ahead of schedule to find a better place to stay. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Cherry Blossom RV and Mobile Home Park (formerly Pecan Point RV Park), Dothan, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Called after hours and connected with a friendly staff person who helped me immediately. This park is gem! While mostly permanent residents live here, it felt like a community and everyone was kind and helpful. We stayed on site 611, a long pull through had fresh gravel. Level was good front to back, but out side to side a little. Not enough that I used leveling blocks. Wifi was very good and fast. All utilities were new and worked well. The laundry and restrooms were extremely clean. Access to the RV park is good, but the highway is busy and it might take a few minutes to turn in or out. They are trying to get the city to allow a turn lane, but nothing yet. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Cherry Blossom RV and Mobile Home Park (formerly Pecan Point RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Campers Inn Inc., Panama City Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

On a good note, it is very close to the beach, about 750 ft. across a very busy road. You are close to several resort hotels and the noise from them goes on all night. There is a large outdoor video screen on one of the hotels that lights up the campground like day time. Wifi was terrible, if you can connect at all, it soon drops. Very slow...difficult to even do email. As you would expect, lots of sand. The sites are paved with a concrete patio and picnic table. Lots of permanent residents around the perimeter. We were on site 34 which backs up to some kind of waste water treatment thing. The whole time we were there it smelled like sewer. Garbage pickup regularly at the site. Also, LOTS of road noise. I am usually not bothered by that, but this was like being on strip at Vegas. We camped at Campers Inn Inc. in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The beach is about all this location offers. Not much else to do except shop. Given other options, I would stay either at the Emerald Coast (little more expensive, but NICE) or down the road at Raccoon River RV park. Oh and there is a large Walmart a few miles down the road.

Capital City RV Park, Montgomery, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Easy to get to the park. It has wide, graveled spaces with a patch of grass separating the campsites. We were escorted to our space and the staff is very friendly. I was told about several local places to shop and eat. There appear to be several long term residents, but there is a lot of space available for seasonal campers. We were on the way to Florida, so this was a great stop over. I would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga, Rossville, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Everything is very clean. This is a large park and they do a good job maintaining the park. Sites are level and gravel, we were in #94, a pull-through. Close to a place to walk your dog, camp store with laundry. Wifi signal is strong, but it seems very slow. Good access to the interstate. Close to an airport (noise) and a speedway. The noise did not bother us with the air conditioner running. We have stayed here in the past. It has remained to be a clean, well-maintained park. I would stay here again, oh and they are a Good Sam park. We camped at Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Easy access from I75, but Google maps did not have it in the right location. I submitted a change, but it may not be updated yet. Sites are level and gravel. This is a small campground, mostly back-in with a few pull-thru sites. Wifi was OK, typical for a campground. The staff is very friendly. You actually register at the motel office. Close to diesel fuel and a McDonalds. We camped at Westgate RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The pull through sites appear to be back-ins that have a road behind them. In other words if three of them are full, the last space will need to back-in. Restrooms were clean, but very dated and could use a refresh. Also, the bathroom and shower house in not air conditioned. It is a good one-night stay and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Pine Mountain RV Park, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice! Large concrete pad with patio, fire ring, picnic table. Well lighted, mostly level, super clean park. Close to everything, but far enough off of the parkway that the noise level doesn't disturb you. The staff are great and an added bonus is that you can use the indoor pool and hot tub at the motel across the street. The wifi was great! This site is right by an access point, so the service was fast and consistent. They are a Good Sam park, so you can also get a discount. We camped at Pine Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Riveredge RV Park & Log Cabin Rentals, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Overall Rating:

Bath house is the best feature of this park. The office staff are very nice and will help with about anything. Downside was that the camper next to us was burning treated wood and the smell was horrible. Staff was not able to keep them from causing such a disturbance. Amish Country Campsites, Winesburg, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

I have camped here several times over ten or so years. The owners are wonderful, but the overall "feel" of the campground has changed for the worse. The grass in many areas has not been mowed and you can really tell it around some of the many long-term campers. Lots of trucks parked in areas by construction workers make navigating the already tight roads difficult. I am sorry to see this change, but this will probably be my last visit to this campground. We camped at Amish Country Campsites in a Motorhome.

Foothills RV Park, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We have been staying at this park for over twenty years. The owners are wonderful and keep everything clean and orderly. The restroom and laundry facilities are very clean and air conditioned with music playing softly. The park is not that large, but you do not feel cramped at all. All sites are fairly level asphalt with a concrete patio and fire ring. Mostly shaded and quiet, while still close to the parkway and the trolley. Wifi is the best of ANY RV park I have stayed at. There is a little hill to get to the park and the sites are on a loop. We camped at Foothills RV Park in a Motorhome.

Getting here is the hard part. Traffic from I40 thru Sieverville and Pigeon Forge is terrible! It can easily take you 45 minutes to go fifteen miles. The mountains are beautiful and we love it here. After the drive in...you just want to stay!

Grand Ole RV Resort, Goodlettsville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

The staff are excellent and very helpful. The park is laid out a bit odd, but it seems to work OK. There are LOTS of trains very close to the campground, so you hear them often. The sites vary, but most are fairly level and graveled. The only area to walk a dog is out by the main entrance, but you can walk them anywhere in the park. Good electric and water connections, it was nearly 100 degrees when we camped there and never had any problems with utilities. They have live music several days of the week and you can get a tour bus into Nashville. Cost to stay here was less than half of the places on Music Row and I felt it was just as nice...with better staff. We camped at Grand Ole RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cave Country RV Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

The park is very clean and well maintained. There are not a lot of large shade trees, but the sites are all pull through and long enough for our 27 ft. rig with the tow dolly still hitched up. Showers and restroom facilities are immaculate. There is a dog run for your furry friends. Sites are level and graveled, propane is available on site. Garbage pick-up every morning. Nice club house and excercise room (I never used it, but it is very nice). We had stayed here five years ago and were impressed with the RV park. The quality and cleanliness is just as good now as it was five years ago. Staff were very courteous and professional. If I were in the area I will stay here again. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Grandpa's Farm Campground, Richmond, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at Grandpa's farm many times and each time it has been wonderful. This is a private park with some permanent residents, but you never feel like an outsider. The owners are always on site and working hard to make your stay perfect. It is a great place to relax and unwind. I know several folks have commented about the noise if you are by the road, but I have not experienced a problem with noise. Usually the AC is running and you don't notice anything. Had one brief low voltage situation, but it lasted less than 15 seconds. My power conditioner shut things down until the power came back up. Facilities are neat and clean and you always feel welcomed. We camped at Grandpa's Farm Campground in a Motorhome.
