Dumas RV Resort, Dumas, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Pulled in and found the park full of snow with no roads plowed. Was told to choose any spot where the water worked. First one did not. Wanted to use their showers and toilets (water problem on the coach) and all bathhouses and toilets were boarded up! This was not mentioned when we checked in and there was no discount given for the lack of amenities. We could have stayed at the Walmart up the road a quarter mile and had the same privileges. It actually would have been better because they plowed the Walmart lot. The manager was not only less than helpful, he was doing us a favor to check us in. NOT a do again. We camped at Dumas RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Seattle / Tacoma KOA, Kent, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We've stayed in parks of all kinds and brands from Florida to Washington and this is not only one of the most expensive, it's one of the worst. Tight does not even begin to describe the spaces. We've been here two days and I have personally seen two accidents as people tried to maneuver into spaces that would be tight for a rig 10' less in size. Both accidents were fifth wheels who are especially handicapped as there is minimal space for the truck to maneuver. Despite the tightness, people still try to park their toads on their spaces and this leaves an overlap onto the roads. I had to ask two people to move their cars so I could get in. BTW, they had to park their cars there as there are insufficient spaces by the office to park. Other than that the park staff are OK, and the park is shaded and reasonably quiet, plus, even at 30-45 minutes away, it's one of the closest to Seattle. I definitely wouldn't stay here though if there were options. The park has things to do, from a pool to oversized chess pieces, ice cream socials, outdoor movies, etc. It has a nice store and sells beer and wine. If it weren't for the space issue, this would be a very good place to stay. We camped at Seattle / Tacoma KOA in a Motorhome.
