Taps RV Park, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

First! We have a 45' motorhome so all other reviews saying this is a tight park, please learn how to drive. Had no problem getting around. Second! The owner is SUPER friendly and will do everything to make your stay comfortable. As others have said, this is a great location to visit Asheville. If you are looking for a family entertainment/ activities like a playground etc, this is not your park. The park is small and quiet even though it is close to the road. There is a small stream at the back. You might hear the train once or twice but its not an issue. We camped at Taps RV Park in a Motorhome.

Muskoka Ridge Trailer Park, Bracebridge, Ontario

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Rate in CAD $. As others have said, water pressure drops to a trickle a few times a day. 30A service, but when you run 23A and above, the voltage drops below 104 ! Can't use your AC and microwave at the same time. Not really 30A...more like 20A. A few of the seasonal units are neglected. The owners are very nice, the pool is very clean. High price doesn't match the park. I guess low availability of full hookup parks in the area drives the price up. We camped at Muskoka Ridge Trailer Park in a Motorhome.

Gallagher Lake Resort (formerly Gallagher Lake KOA), Oliver, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

The office check in was quick. Staff was very nice. The roads are on the narrow side if you drive a 40' and over but not a real issue. The site we stayed was long enough to leave the car hooked up behind. The site is gavel and was wide so you can open the awning.

I noticed some site (closer to the beach) that could be a bit tight to get in if the park is busy with cars parked along but overall this place is very nice. it looks like a family oriented place with a nice playground.

The beach is made of sand and the lake looks clean. We camped at Gallagher Lake Resort (formerly Gallagher Lake KOA) in a Motorhome.

Sentinel Peak RV Park, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a paved parking lot and seems to have opened recently. The managers are VERY nice and make you feel that you can ask for anything and they'll do their best to accommodate. The location, if you are here to see Tucson is great. You can bike 10 minutes right to the middle of downtown. The recreation room has table tennis and other games and everything is very clean and organized well. Nice small pool and very clean. The park has a van that can drive you to the street car station or maybe to downtown.

On the down side:

1. Internet was slower than a dial-up and sometimes you could not connect. Considering it was us and 2 more RVs in the park you can't blame it on too many users.

2. No cable TV

3. There are trains going though town and the air horn is LOUD. You get to hear it at ANY time, even in the middle of the night.

We would stay here again if we came to town. We camped at Sentinel Peak RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mission Bay RV Resort, San Diego, California

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The park is located in a nice area and you have access to the beach. Excellent security and service. The sites are all paved, some have larger trees. Sites are wide so you can have your awning open. This park gets busy over weekends! Hookup for water and cable are at the back sewer is on the side.

We needed to extend by one week and the front deck went out of their way to find us a spot. They also came to our site to deliver a UPS parcel we shipped there!! We camped at Mission Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Seattle / Tacoma KOA, Kent, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

At first reading all the other reviews we almost didn't bother with this place but I had a work meeting so we had to stay here. Worried, we drove to the park but once there we realized that it is just fine. The office people were fine, the park looks fine, the driveways are ok, not the widest we have seen but we have a 41 ft motorhome and had not problem. We got site 153 (back in) and had at least 8-10 feet between our slides to our neighbors beside. Not sure what with the other reviews??

$60 plus tax is steep so we will not stay here again.

There is some road noise but not major problem. We camped at Seattle / Tacoma KOA in a Motorhome.

Marin Park, Greenbrae, California

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $61.00
Overall Rating:

Rate was $430 per week. New rate is about $660 which in my mind too high. The staff is VERY friendly and have done great job prepping LOTS of info for you about the area. The park is basically a gravel parking lot but its all about the location. WIFI works fine. We actually got 2 sites to fit our 40' motorhome. If not for the new rate hike we would come back.... We camped at Marin Park in a Motorhome.

Cedars RV Park, Ferndale, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Agree with other reviews about the price. $50 per night regular rate, plus $3 for cable, plus more $$ for wifi, Plus $8 or $6 of reservation to be next to I-5 HWY (you can hear the traffic). If not for Passport America we would not stay at what would be close to $70 per night for a park in...really not a special place.

The park itself is large, with grass for kids to play, pool, and a dog run. Our site was wide. It was gravel and fairly level. The park is not in a central location or close to the ocean. We camped at Cedars RV Park in a Motorhome.

Shoreline RV Park, Eureka, California

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Giving this park 1 star due to manager lies. We needed a spot for the night while on our way down south. We called to see if they have space and the guy said he has "ONE SPOT LEFT" and if we want it, he needs a credit card over the phone. When we got there, we realized that we got scammed!! there were many empty spots. The guy lies to you just to get you in! What a great start. The rate as published is $38. Good Sam discount is 10% but we got charged $41.33. When we questioned him he said that there is 12% tax. I am not a mathematician but come on really?? you're going to cheat people like that? The place is creepy, noisy, and tight if you drive anything over 35ft. Do yourself a favor and stop somewhere else.... We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Motorhome.

Capilano River RV Park, West Vancouver, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Location, Location, Location... bike to downtown or take the bus. Sites are narrow so sometimes you can't fully extend awnings but park has nice atmosphere. Lots of families here. The pool is nice and many people do use it. Some noise from the bridge traffic but nothing major. Price is high for the size of site but since you have no other park around... pay and don't look back...

Park Royal mall just across the street. We camped at Capilano River RV Park in a Motorhome.
