Natchez Trace RV Park, Tupelo, Mississippi

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed a week at this RV Park. I am from the area and was visiting family and friends in New Albany and Tupelo. I loved staying here because it is so clean and landscaped beautifully. The owner was very helpful and kind. We rented the pavilion for a get together with 30 of my friends. The owner Jerry filled the firepit with wood for us and was very careful to see the lawn was cut. He also gave us some ice for our cooler from the restaurant that is now closed. Nice small pool and a catch and release fishing pond. We were there in 100 degree heat so we had no need for the wood. We will go back there again when visiting family. We camped at Natchez Trace RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hide-A-Way Lakes, Yorkville, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We pulled into this campground if you can call it that, and paid for a two night stay. While my husband was inside paying I just got a bad feeling about this place. It felt like a place you would see in a horror movie. The road into it was narrow and full of holes, a man in a raggedy golf cart led us to an area and told us to "pick a site". We got out if the RV and looked for a site with sewer hook ups. Could not find one with water electric and sewer. The sites were just grassy and muddy. Nothing about this place said "camp here, feel safe". We began to wonder if we were in a junkyard or campground. We decided that neither of us had a good feeling, so we drove back to the office aka shack and got our money back. My husband said it was no problem and they probably had it happen before. My cousin said the place was known for drug raids and murders!!! Stay away from this place unless you like living or staying in an area where your life is in danger. Hideaway should be condemned and buried!!! We camped at Hide-A-Way Lakes in a Motorhome.
