Oak Plantation Campground, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park, lots of shade trees, well manicured grass. Our site had concrete pad for trailer so leveling was easy. Convenient to Charleston but getting in & out of park was tough. Traffic on 17 is almost always backed up so leaving or entering park you are crossing 3 lanes of traffic. Main road into park has 11 speed bumps/humps which was very annoying. Pool was nice but located at entrance so not very convenient. Laundry facilities for a park this size was poor. 4 washers & 2 huge dryers. Small card table for folding. Wifi was better than most parks but slow. Cable was ok. We camped at Oak Plantation Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Albuquerque North / Bernalillo KOA, Bernalillo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park, however, road outside park was totally under construction. Felt like they should have informed guests prior to arrival. Sites were long with patch of artificial grass with picnic table. Two dog park areas that were just dirt, no grass. All grassy areas were clearly marked NO DOGS! Made it tough. Served breakfast Thursday - Sunday. Nice pool. We camped at Albuquerque North / Bernalillo KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Portal RV Resort and Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed in the resort section which was very nice. Huge site, long & wide, tall grasses & plants ro died a visual buffer between sites. Staff very friendly at check in. Resort section included a beautiful pool & dog park with real grass! However, the laundry room was the pits. Old washers (3) & dryers, leaking ceiling, not very clean. We camped at Portal RV Resort and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Crater Lake Resort, Fort Klamath, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Small campground, all back in sites. Tough for big rigs. Only 30 amp service. Very few full service sites. Gravel roads & sites, very dusty. However, staff was very nice. Well stocked store, with wine & beer. Close to Crater Lake NP, about 30 minutes. Nice grassy area for tents & common area with large, mature trees. No charge for canoes or bikes which I think KOA' s could take note. Small laundry, $3/load. Quiet, well kept. Several cabins. We camped at Crater Lake Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

All Star RV Resort, Houston, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are concrete ad, very narrow. We were here for only 1 nite & our site was right next to office, laundry & showers. Very convenient but no privacy. Entire complex is mostly concrete, narrow strips of grass. Landscaping was nice & well maintained. Laundry was superb. Dog walk area & dog wash facility! Nice rec room & heated pool. Located in a very congested area in back of several car dealerships. Would not stay here for an extended period bit one nite was fine. We camped at All Star RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Back in site in premium area so site was double wide, all gravel, with concrete pad, covered, picnic table. Backed up to woods, very quiet. Great place for families. Paved roads, clean. Pools were closed for season but both full & running. In addition to site fee, they charge $5/person/nite plus $5/person for any guests. Gated so very secure. Tall pine trees, lovely. Watts RV Park & Recreation Area, Gilmer, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The first site C1, was so narrow and uneven that after putting slides out there was no site left. Moved us to B1 which was more level and spacious. Because of drought, no grass and lots of cockle burrs everywhere. Could not walk the dog and carried the burrs in on shoes and clothing. Extremely dusty. Lost power several times but management said no one else was having a problem. Oil refinery behind park and natural gas odor and noise was overbearing. No Wi-Fi although thy gave us 5 different sites that should have popped up, none did. Office was filthy and unorganized. Park manager was nice but not a decision maker. We found another park and pulled out after just one night. No refund! We camped at Watts RV Park & Recreation Area in a Fifth Wheel.
