Waterhouses Campground and Marina, Salisbury, Vermont

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

I found this campground a quiet gem. It is a CG on one side of the street and the marina across the street on lake dunmore. The CG has electric and water at the sites. The driveway has gravel but grass all around. The sites up front are level but in the back of the. CG where seasonals are it is hilly. There is a nice babbling brook on site also. The CG is clean and well maintained. Everyone was friendly, from registration to the girl at the small camp store. There is a beach and marina where you can rent motorized boats, canoes and paddle boards. The lake is lovely and clean...even though we caught no fish! There is a pub style restaurant right on the water . I would definitely return here. We camped at Waterhouses Campground and Marina in a Motorhome.

North Pole Resorts, Wilmington, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This CG has everything you want. The camp store is the best I have seen, food, gifts, rv supplies, clothes. They escort you to your site. FHU , gravel site with grass on either side. A game room , restrooms. The sites are raked after you leave and grass cut. The grounds are meticulously kept. No seasonals on this side so the park looks very appealing. A mini golf and pool with river access and boat rental. The park is quiet at night . WiFi and Verizon reception is good. We took rt 87 north and it is 28 miles off the exit. The view is beautiful surrounded by the mountains on all sides. We stayed in the resort section, but there is another section across the street and down the road a bit this is more rustic , no river access. The only con ; the sites are close together about 10 ft apart.. Would stay again. We camped at North Pole Resorts in a Motorhome.

Four Seasons Family Camping Area, Naples, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We chose this CG because of location on Long Lake. We are still here as our new motor home broke down and was towed to ford. The owner has gone above and beyond, first trying to jump start us, then he asked an rv tech who was here for someone else to come by our site which he did, but to no avail. When the tow truck driver came he said he could only take one person, that left me and our 2 dogs. The owner used his golf cart to take me, 2 dogs, some food and bedding to a cottage on site for the night as my husband had to go with the RV and then rent a car. We did get on the lake in a rented rowboat with the Dogs yesterday before all the trouble and it was lovely and the water was warm. The staff are helpful and friendly, it is quiet at night. The town is 2 miles away with shops and restaurants. I would recommend this CG. The roads are dirt and gravel and there are a lot of low branches. The beach is nice and large enough for families to sit together. The game room has pool and ping pong. There are a lot of places to rent a boat within a few miles. Most sites are pretty level We camped at Four Seasons Family Camping Area in a Motorhome.

South Arm Campground, Andover, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is in a remote location. When you enter the grounds the road is gravel, hilly and narrow. With that said, I loved this campground. The camp store has only the basics and fishing tackle. The site are wooded with electric and water only...and the generator shuts the electric off around 11 pm til 7 am. The people are friendly and Richardson lake is spectacular . almost very site has lake view. They rent kayaks , row boats and have a small beach area... We camped at South Arm Campground in a Motorhome.

Schroon river campsites LLC, Warrensburg, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We picked this CG because Schroon river is on site, but as they forewarned us the mosquitoes were Awful!!! You needed bug spray constantly. The river was so was buggy with algae we didn't canoe. The pool was nice and clean but that was it. The staff were nice and friendly but would not go back. The roads were gravel and dirt. There was a game room by the camp store. We did ride our bikes around the park but the seasonal sites in the back of the campground were old and unkempt. We camped at Schroon river campsites LLC in a Motorhome.

Assateague State Park, Berlin, Maryland

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Where else could you go and see the wild ponies and have the Atlantic Ocean as the backdrop. We go here every year and we are impressed with the uniqueness and beauty every time. These ponies walk around the campsites and on the beach. There is only the day beach store and cafe with a small gift shop...The bike path is paved and level. They are re-doing all the bath houses as they are old and moldy. The Maryland Park police ride through frequently and there are camp host people assigned to every loop. We camped at Assateague State Park in a Motorhome.

Aces High RV Park, East Lyme, Connecticut

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very upscale CG. It seemed all the rv are big and newer. The roads are paved but the sites are gravel. The whole CG is nicely manicured. You can rent paddle boats for the swimming area. FHU, but garbage area far to walk to. It was partly empty when we were there for Mother's Day. There is a nice path to walk the dog by a babbling brook. The camp store is nice with all the basics. We camped at Aces High RV Park in a Motorhome.

Old Mill Stream Campground, Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We start our camping season here, usually in April. They are next to Dutch Wonderland. It is quiet and peaceful here with a small stream along the back. You can walk to the Tanger Outlets. The camp store is very small but the people are helpful and friendly. Level sites are gravel. On Saturdays an Amish man and wife come through selling baked goods from a pie cart!, We camped at Old Mill Stream Campground in a Motorhome.
