Foothills Family Campground, Forest City, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We actually hated to leave this camp! The owners were so friendly and helpful! One of us needed to see a Doctor and we were directed to the best Urgent Care in the area, recommended by the owners. That was a great relief being that we were from out of state. When the weekend arrived so did more campers. We were concerned that camp would become noisy at night. It didn't happen. The owners stay on top of keeping the camp enjoyable for all. We saw kids enjoying the sparkling swimming pool and playground area. We would love to camp here again. No negatives. We camped at Foothills Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The camp was close enough that we could day trip to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cowpens and Kings Mountain National Battlefields, Lake Lure (where the film Dirty Dancing was made) and Black Mountain - among other places!

What a lovely location and park! Exceptionally clean sites and restrooms! Quiet! Owner and staff very pleasant and helpful. Launch your canoe and/or kayak right from camp. Pine Knoll Campground RV Resort, Albany, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Paid for two nights, only stayed one. Bathrooms and shower facilities were old, beat-up and dirty. Trash and beer cans in our site when we arrived. Would not recommend! Actually after my husband took a shower he suggested I don't even go to the shower house. While he was taking his shower there were several men, also taking showers, who appeared to be drunk. They were singing inappropriate songs, were loud and using bad language. The whole campground looked and felt" dumpy". Not a place many would be comfortable staying at. Couldn't wait to leave.... We camped at Pine Knoll Campground RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
