Vantage Riverstone Resort, Vantage, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

For temporary people passing through there are pull through sites with FHU. No cable or WiFi, but we were able to get some Antenna stations; Long terms residents on upper level. Lots of W/E grassy sites but only 1-2 people there while we stayed; electric was good; water quality good. No rec center; pool closed; laundry clean, also used by housekeeping for motel. Generally, it was an OK park to stay at; well maintained even though the city seems to be run down. I walked to the upper level and there was a road up the mountain where I was able to let the dogs loose and get some exercise. We camped at Vantage Riverstone Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Skagit River Resort, Rockport, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Skagit River Resort is under new ownership and management and it also has a new name - Glacier Peak Resort. New Owner and Management are doing an excellent job of upgrading the resort. It is also the only GS campground in the area. The address is the same; phone number is 360-708-3005. I will be doing another review under the new name. I would highly recommend this resort. We camped at Skagit River Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Sundance RV Park and Campground, Coram, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Pull through sites offering only W/E. Good electric and good quality water. They have some tent sites; playground; wifi; no cable, but there is a repeater on the mountain top to get antenna stations. No rec hall or other amenities. They have a dump station and offer a honey wagon for $10.

Dog park needed to be mowed and some of the sites needed mowing and maintenance. They have a nice road in the back of the park to walk around. Also, I found a huge field on the next street over to let the dogs run loose (watch out for deer and skunks). We camped at Sundance RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Of course, Glacier National Park is very close. Also, Glacier Distillery is just down the street, along with lots of good restaurants. There is also one of those "Mystery Houses" here where the earth's vortex does some strange things. (There is one near Rapid City, SD too.)

Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley, White Sulphur Springs, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

This park is also part of the PA system. Large pull through sites (tent sites on the grass); FHU with good electric and good quality water. Wifi, no cable, got enough antenna stations though. No pool, small rec center (ice cream social Wed & Sat); playground for the kids and a very small dog park. (There is a field down a gravel road to let your dogs loose.) Nice small town for walking. Horses all over; deer wandering through the city streets. We camped at Conestoga Campground / Smith River Valley in a Travel Trailer.

2 Bassett Brewery in town and a few small restaurants. There is a motel offering public bathing in the sulphur spring.

We drove to Helena one day and took a tour on the Gates of the Mountains, which I would recommend.

Peter D's RV Park, Sheridan, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Under new management and working to get the park in good shape. Full-hookup sites with good electric and good quality water. They have both pull-through and back-in sites. There are a lot of full time residents but the park is still in good shape. There are no amenities, but we enjoyed staying there. Next door is a trail up through the mountains where no one goes - it was beautiful. The dogs and I had a great time walking the hills. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice park with FHU and good electric and good quality water. Allows pets but no pet park (I found a field down the road to let the dogs loose). There are sidewalks in the city to walk as well. No amenities such as rec center. We camped at Mountain View RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is the place to stay if you want to visit Devils Tower NM. Sundance also has a nice museum downtown I recommend you visit. They also have a bunch of geocaches around the city - ask at the museum for a list.

Sleepy Hollow RV Park, Wall, South Dakota

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Pull through sites with FHU and good electric and good quality water. They do offer tent camping, and there were a few full time residents. They are pet friendly with a large dog pen near the back, and some area around the park to walk. They have a rec room but did not go in. Nice place to stay while visiting the area. We camped at Sleepy Hollow RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Full hookup pull-through sites; good electric and good quality water. Small playground; pet friendly (large area of land around a pond to let dogs loose). No amenities and nothing in the area, but a nice campground to spend the night. Owners very nice and working very hard on the park. Would definitely stay here again. Located right on the river. Full hookups with good electric and good quality water. We only stayed one night but I don't remember any amenities such as rec room or pool. There was a nice walking path down to the soccer fields and along the river. We camped at Scenic Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Hidden Cove Outdoor Resort, Arley, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2017
Overall Rating:

There are two sections to this park; we went to the back section to the left, which is not close to the bathroom. Our site was a pull-through and I think most of them are. Full hookups with good electric and good quality water. No pet park but they have a huge field where I was able to let the dogs loose. They have a nice playground. The rec hall was pretty sparse but not much was open when we were there (pool). We camped at Hidden Cove Outdoor Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Yellowhammer RV Sales and Campground, Clanton, Alabama

Back-in and pull-through sites on the back end of Yellowhammer RV Sales & Service Center. Easy gravel roads. Full-hookup level sites with good electric and good quality water. No pool, rec room, or other things. Small dog park (but I found a huge field across the street to let the dogs loose). Good park for overnight or a few nights. We would come here again. Hitchin Post Corral and Campground, Cottondale, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

New campground just getting off the ground (3 years old); owners friendly and very helpful. Nice large sites with FHU, big rig friendly, water quality good. Back in sites and pull through sites. Good wifi service, cell service good (cell tower on site). Fenced in pet areas, large green area for games. They don't have restrooms or showers yet due to cost of installation, but are working them. Definitely a nice place to stop. We camped at Hitchin Post Corral and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Mountain Meadows RV Park, Tularosa, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are pretty close together (person next to us emptied their gray water into the tree in our site). Mostly back in sites with FHU; electric and water quality good. Large grassy area in middle but no dog walk (lots of vacant land behind to walk); no pool or recreation area but a few work out bikes in laundry/restroom area. If we stayed here again would go along back row with less people in it. We camped at Mountain Meadows RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

El Rancho Lobo RV Park, Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Nice small park with pull through sites in the outer section; inner section was back in and full time residents. No problem with electric or water quality with FHU; antenna reception was good. No pool or pet area (except outside of the park there is lots of land). This is a no frills park but the people are nice and friendly and it's close to Deming and some state parks. We would stay here again if passing through Deming. We camped at El Rancho Lobo RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
