Terry Bison Ranch Resort, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great place. Lots of animals (horses, ostrich, donkey, chickens, turkey, camels, pigs, bison), train ride, horse trail rides; fishing; ATV rides; great restaurant; saloon. Lots of FHU pull through and back-in sites. They also have cabins and tent sites. Water and electric both good. No cable but lots of OTA stations. Sites are gravel and very close together. There is a clubhouse but I did not go in. Nice gift shop. Family friendly - two playgrounds. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Fort Caspar Campground, Casper, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Pull through and back-in FHU sites. Also have tent sites. Looks like a lot of full timers, but it was quiet and well kept. The "back-in" sites in the center were a bit confusing as we were told two RV's should fit in one section, but we are 50' combined between the RV & truck, and took up both sites. The water & electric were both good; we had WiFi and cable. The sites are all gravel with no grass. They have three very small dog parks, but there is river walk trail, which was very nice. We camped at Fort Caspar Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Parkway Trailer & RV Park, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We had a nice big grassy spot (14) back in. Lots of mobile homes around the outside for permanent residents, the 25 RV sites are on the inside. Water quality was good; electric good. Nice bathrooms and laundry room. No playground; no cable. They do offer WiFi. (cash or check only) Got some OTA stations with antenna pointed west to the mountain top, but even in the good area were pretty sketchy. Verizon service good. Only place to walk the dogs was on the sidewalk across the street. There are lots of RV Parks in Cody but this one was the least expensive, and very nice. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Parkway Trailer & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Wind River RV Park, Riverton, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Mostly long pull through sites with good water quality and good electric. I don't see any playground but they do have a meeting room. Showers cost $. Sites are level, gravel, with a picnic table. No cable and very few OTA TV stations. Verizon was good. Sits in a residential area so I turned left out of the park to walk down to the baseball fields (watch out for sand spurs) and also the recycling center had a road next to it for walking. We camped at Wind River RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Wind River View Campground, Boulder, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2018
Overall Rating:

Run by a young couple who are very nice, but not in the park much. The park houses men working in the oil fields. The water quality was good as was the electric. They have a bathhouse and a very nice laundry, exercise room (double wide). They have pull-throughs and back-ins with picnic tables. They have a nice playground for kids. The park is a bit run down but they just hired an on site manager who is working on getting the park in shape. They offer WiFi, but there is no cable and we got about 5 OTA stations. The people who own the shepherd mentioned in previous reviews have been told to tie it up. We camped at Wind River View Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Next biggest town is Pinedale, 11 miles north where they have everything you need, from groceries to restaurants. We stayed here because we wanted to visit Grand Teton National Park. It took 2 hours to drive there, but considering the campground did not cost anything, it was worth the drive.

Overall Rating:

Family owned & operated. Lots of FHU sites; pull through with some back-in. Water quality good (high pressure), electric good. Bathrooms and laundry in good shape. Have tents sites. Playground for kids. They offer cable at some sites. Had no problem getting Internet service on my Jetpack. Restaurants in walking distance (Don Pedro excellent). We camped at Phillips RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Bear River State Park next door. I found a way to get into it to take a walk along the river on the trail (go out of park to the left and walk down the road; before the bend turn right into a junk yard area. You will see a bridge and green fence. At end of fence by bridge is a small area to squeeze through).

Canyon View RV Park, Spanish Fork, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Owned and run by the City of Spanish Fork, it is W/E only with a dump station. It is also a parking lot. Leveling was a bit tough as the tongue had to be almost hitting the pavement. The water was good quality and the electric was good as well. There is a dirt trail behind the RV section that goes down the hill to the park. There is also a biking, walking trail around the park that runs next to the stream passing a horse farm. Very pleasant walk. Coming from the east, go past the big sign that you can't read (park sign) and drive a bit further to the RV park on the right (the GPS takes you to the main park entrance). Look at Google Maps to get to the RV Park. We camped at Canyon View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Nice RV park outside of town next to the Old Spanish Trail Arena (good place to take a walk with your dogs). FHU with good water quality and electric is good; they offer WiFi and Cable. We got a nice shady spot through some are out in the sun. Gravel pull through with a little grass and a picnic table. They have pull through, back-in and tent sites. Tips for other Campers:

Moab, Utah - of course, there is Canyonlands and Arches National Parks. There are 3 sections to Canyonlands but if you only do one, give extra time for Arches because there is a lot more to see there. Moab Brewery in town has great food and gelato.

Blue Mountain RV Park, Blanding, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

They have back-in sites and also pull through. They have tent sites as well. FHU; electric was good and water quality good. Nice laundry room with 2 washers & 2 dryers. Restrooms nice. Sites are gravel with a small patch of grass and cement walkway; other sites are just gravel with no grass. They are doing a lot of upgrading. No full time people but they may have some workampers. They offer internet but I had my Jetpack which I used instead; no cable. TV Antenna OK - point north and you get about 25 stations, but they are iffy. We camped at Blue Mountain RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Woods and River RV Park & Campground, Del Norte, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

There are two sections to the park. The upper section has FHU but are VERY close together. The newer sites down by the Rio Grande River are W/E but spaced nicely apart with lots of trees. Electric and water were good (high pressure on the water). They have a sidewalk going around the lower section of the park and there is access to another sidewalk going to the City Park. There are a few Gazebos along the river and a nice pavilion with chairs. I was able to get WiFi on my Jetpack but there are no antenna stations. There are a few monthly people but the park is kept up. Managers very nice (workampers). The laundry room has 2 washers & 2 dryers, one of which was down. There is a laundromat in town called C2O Carwash & Laundry at the corner of Grand Ave & French St. We camped at Woods and River RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Great Sand Dunes Oasis RV Park, Mosca, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is all rocks with a few trees. Road going into campground very rough. All FHU with good electric and good water. They also have cabins and lots of tent sites up on the hill. The bathrooms are nice and cleaned daily. The clubhouse was closed because they said it was being renovated, so we could not go in and watch TV. The only antenna stations we got were 3 PBS. The laundry was closed because the dryers were not working, so they shut down the whole thing. I found a road across from the park going into the preserve where I was able to walk and let the dogs loose. Walking through the tent sites was uphill a lot. Nice and close to Great Sand Dunes NP. We camped at Great Sand Dunes Oasis RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ancient Cedars Mesa Verde RV Park, Mancos, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Nice enough park with gravel sites separated by a fence on the upper level. The electric & water are good. They have a rec center, laundry, pool and hot tubs, mini golf and a large fenced dog park. The dog park is larger than any I have seen in other parks. Could not get any internet service on my Jetpack on the upper level but they do offer good WiFi, but can't use it a lot. TV Antenna stations were great - got about 100 from as far as Salt Lake City, Utah. There must be a repeater somewhere for us to get so many stations. I did walk across the side road into the woods and around the area to take the dogs for a walk. I did not let them loose though since we were so close to civilization. Park is located on the frontage road exit which is the same as the National Park. GPS does not say that. We camped at Ancient Cedars Mesa Verde RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Clayton RV Park (formerly Clayton KOA), Clayton, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Large park with lots of grass and trees. Some of the sites are pretty run down; used to be a KOA. The electric was good; water is OK. The fenced dog run is very small and over grown. They do offer WiFi and have a restroom and store. It is nice and grassy and shady with some trees. Only bad thing is no cable and only 3 Antenna stations, which are PBS. They have a playground and small rec center; store with DVDs to use. There is a large field next door where I let the dogs loose to run and get some exercise. We camped at Clayton RV Park (formerly Clayton KOA) in a Travel Trailer.

Comanche Campground, Stinnett, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Large campground right off of Hwy 152. All the sites have new electric pedestals with both 30 and 50 amp. There were only two other people here in the park. They have a laundromat in a small building. Payment is on honor system; they have a small building to sign in and leave payment. The water is good and we got great TV antenna reception. Owner came by to talk a bit; very nice lady. We camped at Comanche Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park, Quanah, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

40 site park with long pull throughs; very level; good for big rigs; also a tent area. Pool, honor system laundry; two bathhouses; cable TV, large Cotton Gin area made into a community center with couches, TV, etc. open all the time. The water was great (well water); electric good. Not too many full timers; park in great condition and the staff very friendly. Small fenced dog park, but I found a dirt road going into farm land to walk the dogs.
