Crazy Horse RV Campground, Kanab, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Nice FHU sites with good electric and water quality; Offered WiFi; TV Antenna reception good; pool; small rec area but the billiard tables covers were both torn. Laundry facilities not very good. There are some full time residents but good enough for a few days. Have a few tent sites. There is a dirt road off to the east which connects to a subdivision with access to the Kanab Rim Trail, which was fantastic to walk and let the dogs run loose. We camped at Crazy Horse RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Lots to do in the area. We drove to Paria Mtns (5 miles up a dirt road), which is part of the Grand Staircase Escalante NM; also the North Rim of Grand Canyon. Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is in Kanab.

East Zion Riverside RV Park, Mount Carmel, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is run by the Best Western across the street. $25 per night but if you pay for a week it's $18 a night. The sites are FHU back in on stones; grassy area behind with Virgin River down the hill behind the sites. Laundry, restaurant at BW. They offer WiFi but it was virtually unusable. Cell tower on hill but only for AT&T; no Verizon service. Golf course behind BW to walk dogs. We camped at East Zion Riverside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground, Salina, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

They do have larger pull through sites but put us in a small, tight pull through site. Check your electric here as it is questionable; one site had no ground; another had no electric at all. Septic tube was broken and they had a plastic bag on top with a rock to hold it. Our neighbor's utilities and sewer were under our awning and it smelled occasionally. Rec room closed at 7pm. Nice grassy tent area. Good water quality. Nice laundry room. Lots of roads/trails next to park to walk and let dogs loose. We camped at Butch Cassidy RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Intermountain Motor Homes and RV Camp, Wendell, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

A few full timers but still OK; This is an RV service store with W/E only with pull through and back in sites; electric good; water quality good. A VERY SMALL dog park, so just walk out the park to the right into the field to walk your dogs. No rec area, pool or playground. It's an OK park to stay at to see the sites in the area. We camped at Intermountain Motor Homes and RV Camp in a Travel Trailer.

Snake River RV Resort, Homedale, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Pull through sites on grass (so no carpets, etc.); FHU with good electric but the water had a sulfur smell and taste. Right on the Snake River so you can fish and sit by the river. Had a boat ramp to get into the river. No playground, no rec hall, no pool. Had mobile homes on property. Hiking trail next door around the corn field so I was able to let the dogs loose there. We camped at Snake River RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Burns RV Park, Burns, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Nice enough park with good electric and water quality, FHU sites. Sites fairly small and gravel. We just spent one night. They offered cable but not many good stations came with it. No rec hall or pool. No dog park so we had to walk in the city for our exercise. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Cascade Meadows RV Resort, La Pine, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice, huge park with large pull through FHU sites. Good electric and water quality. Small playground; outdoor pool. No dog park but land and roads across the street to let the dogs loose. No rec hall, but a small café open on weekends; they host activities and pot luck dinners. Roads are good and everything worked. We camped at Cascade Meadows RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

South Jetty RV & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails), Florence, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

The whole park is in the forest and many sites are totally shaded and felt damp and moldy. Many FHU sites were blocked off due to electrical issues, and they said they are working on fixing them, and there weren't many FHU sites to begin with. Our site had good electric and good water quality, but it was a W/E and small. No cable or WiFi but good antenna TV reception. Two clubhouses and an outdoor pool. Fair size fenced-in dog park. We camped at South Jetty RV & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Just down the street is the South Jetty OHV staging area of the South Jetty National Recreation Area (Senior Pass OK). Huge sand dunes to walk on and many people take their ATVs to ride the dunes. (I walked down there from the TT to let the dogs run loose) We recommend taking a dune buggy ride with Sandland Dune Buggy Rides - it was the best thing around. We also drove up Hwy 101 to view Thor's Well and the Oregon coast.

Neskowin Creek RV Resort, Neskowin, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $2.00
Overall Rating:

This is a member park, and even though they had open FHU sites we were put in a W/E back-in site. The electric was good; water quality good; cable TV, sites in good shape. They offered good activities and the director worked hard at keeping things going. They had an indoor pool which the kids were in a lot; also had a nice playground and a hiking trail up into the mountains (which was dark and damp; kind of unnerving). Small fenced dog park but I found a very unused road across the street to let the dogs loose. We camped at Neskowin Creek RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Bridge RV Park & Campground, White Salmon, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very small and cramped; barely enough room to maneuver around one way streets. FHU pull through and back in sites; electric good and water quality good. To get to our site I had to pull in front of other sites and then back down the road to park at our site. No clubhouse or pool, or playground. Has tent area. Charge for shower use; Wifi & cable TV. Some sites have grass but most have large rocks, which are hard on the feet. Large lot down the hill to walk the dogs but no place to let them loose. Trail down to the river. Well maintained & clean; friendly staff. Only place to walk was on sidewalk toward Bingen. We camped at Bridge RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Toutle River RV Resort, Castle Rock, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful huge park with FHU pull through and back in sites; good electric and semi-OK water quality (comes from well, would advise using a water filter); tent camping. Lots of activities - volleyball, horseshoes, basketball, playground. Wifi & phone reception good; TV Antenna reception OK (no cable). Huge field to play games and ride bikes. One end has a fitness trail that goes down to the river. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Diamond Point RV Resort, Sequim, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

They have pull through and back in sites; ours was a back in and very small; next door's utilities too close; barely enough room to put out awning. FHU with good electric and good water quality. Had cable but cord was cut from septic work and not fixed, so we had no cable. WiFi and phone reception very poor (they charged for their Wifi). Small clubhouse; charged for showers; no laundry. Big playground. No walking trails except around the Peninsula. No place to let dogs loose. We camped at Diamond Point RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Elma RV Park, Elma, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $6.00
Overall Rating:

Lots of people who look like they live/stay there a long time; FHU back in sites that are tight and not much room to park or maneuver. Electric was good and water quality good. Small clubhouse that I did not go in. No pool. Clean and well maintained; friendly staff. Large open lot to walk dogs and let them loose if you want (lots of rabbits around), but no good place to walk. We camped at Elma RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Glacier Peak Resort and Winery (formerly Skagit River Resort), Rockport, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Formerly Skagit RV Resort, it is now under new ownership & management. They offer full hookup sites in the "forest" and "sunny area," back-in and a few pull-through sites. We had a huge site in the forest section with lots of trees and shrubbery between the sites. They have WiFi and cable TV. They are working on getting the park back into shape, redoing the laundry, adding a hot tub, etc. The electric is good and water quality is good. Some full time residents but park is well maintained and nice. They have a workout room with games in there. Nice big playground area and field. Lots of cabins; also a restaurant. They have a section across the street called the River Trail, which goes along the Skagit River with tent sites there and in the main park, and a wedding chapel (as seen on Roadside America). They also have walking trails in the back of the park, which are really nice to walk on through old growth forest. The management is very nice and easy to get along with. I really enjoyed staying at this park; I'm glad I found it while searching for a park in this area. We camped at Glacier Peak Resort and Winery (formerly Skagit River Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

Of course, you are right down the street from North Cascades NP. In Concrete there is the Vintage Aircraft Museum; Shadow of the Sentinels. Skagit River Bald Eagle Nature Area, Cascadian Farms (great organic blueberries), and many drives and overlooks throughout the area. It's along the Cascades Mountain Loop - Hwy 20.

Lake Sawyer RV Resort, Black Diamond, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

Have back in and pull through sites; we were supposed to be in a FHU site but while setting up discovered that they had the sewer capped off due to septic issues along the row we were in. So we had to watch our water usage while there, but they did have a dump station to use. The electric was good as well as the water quality. They did not have cable or WiFi, but antenna service was OK. Billiard Room was locked all the time; other 21 and older room smelled of mildew (had to leave). I did not see any other rec area. It's right on Lake Sawyer and had boat ramps and docks for boaters. Not well maintained and lots of rotting decks around the cabins. They complained that our dogs were on their leads - said they had to be on a 6' leash, even tho we were sitting outside with them. We camped at Lake Sawyer RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Went to visit Snoqualmie Falls at the Salish Lodge. This is the same falls that were shown on the TV show Twin Peaks.

Walked across the road to a side street to walk the dogs and found a trail leading off the road, through a small creek, past the high school, around the bend, through a subdivision, and back to the creek area.
