Older park in quiet area, designed for older travel trailers but accommodates newer RV's. Immaculately clean, manicured and maintained. Good spacing between sites. Sites have separate driveway for tow vehicles placed beside RV. We camped at Land Yacht Harbor in a Travel Trailer.

Wekiwa Springs State Park, Apopka, Florida

Beautiful, heavily wooded park with springs approximately 1/2 mile away. Located in and upscale suburban setting away from heavy traffic and noise. Beautiful and heavily wooded. Great retreat from civilization, but close enough for commuting. We camped at Wekiwa Springs State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Trees are in their natural state, that is some hang quite low, making drivers pay close attention on park roads. If your RV is very tall you WILL want to watch your turns where there are trees.

C.B. Smith Park, Pembroke Pines, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful county park with excellent facilities for RV'ing. Large sites, well manicured, very clean. Easy access to Miami-Dade and Broward counties as well as the Florida turnpike. One of the best RV parks we've ever used. When in the area we will definitely stay there again. We camped at C.B. Smith Park in a Travel Trailer.

Venture Out Resort, Cudjoe Key, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

Some beautiful, very nice waterfront sites with breathtaking views. Fairly close to Key West. Our site was tight for parking, but once parked it fit like a glove. No WiFi. Cable, provided by site owner was dismal. Only one TV station in Key West, but a little pre-planning goes a long way. This is a trailer park that has RV spaces, but most are excellent. Best RV park value in the Key West area. We camped at Venture Out Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Holiday Park MH/RV Park, Hallandale Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a "trailer park" that allows RVs. Old park with sites not designed for modern RVs such as sewer dumps found under trailer parking sites, electrical connections with face plates missing and open to the elements. We camped at Holiday Park MH/RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed here before and would stay again. Beautiful park on pristine barrier island run by US Park Service. Moundville Archaeological Park, Moundville, Alabama

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Fairly good campground in large park. Camping area is away from crowds and is very quiet and peaceful. Clean with some full hookups. Sites look rustic but are well equipped. Not well advertised, we found out by word of mouth. Were not told that there was also an entrance fee to the park. $8.00 regular/7.00 senior. Would not hesitate to stay again. We camped at Moundville Archaeological Park in a Travel Trailer.

Basswood Resort, Platte City, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Typical cooperate owned RV park. Excellent amenities, clean, well laid out. Middle of park has big rigs stacked next to one another like a bus garage. A pet peeve among RV'ers, WiFi was quite the "trick". The trick being that the WiFi is only available in "hotspots" designated with little (4"X4") signs posted near the spots. We even use an Amped wireless extender (800 mw) with 10,000 sq. ft. coverage and was not able to keep a steady signal for more than a few minutes. When questioned about this, a worker remarked in a "snippy" manner "well mine is OK..." while standing within 15 feet of the hotspot. We even walked 100 yards to the "hotspot" and coverage average 2-3 bars out of 5 all the while dropping frequently. If you depend on phone service or WiFi (running a small business on the road), try elsewhere. Park is directly in the flight line of KCI-Kansas City International Airport, so if noise is a factor for you, this won't work. Most of the hookups are located way too close to the front of the sites. Cable TV works very well with approx. 45 channels, over air digital is excellent also. We camped at Basswood Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Big Pine Campground, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful rustic, scenic park set in a picturesque area. Wonderful, friendly, knowledgable owners/staff. Definitely a destination park, close to everything (Mt. Rushmore, Town of Custer, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, etc.). WiFi was exceptional, and we were in the far end of the park. TV was non-existent, but we utilized WiFi to solve that issue. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Big Pine Campground in a Travel Trailer.
