Stadig Campground, Wells, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The campground seems to be directed at seasonals. Transient sites ok - blacktop pads pretty level. Sewer odors found their way into the camper. Restrooms are proudly from the 1950's and they show it. Stained linoleum, very tight stalls, unpainted & dark shower (singular!). They are oddly proud of not being a resort - to the extent that paper towels or electric hand driers aren't to be found in the bathrooms. New or upgraded facilities would help a lot. Our advice, if you choose to use campground facilities in the area, choose another operator when in the Ogunquit area. We camped at Stadig Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Wasatch View Estates and RV Park, Ogden, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

The owners are in the process of converting a "trailer park" (think double-wide) into an RV campground. They have a very long way to go. Our site was 4 parallel concrete ribbons and the utilities (SWE). What sealed the bad deal was the "restroom" ... an older trailer with two bathrooms which were carpeted (YIKES!) and run down to say the least. Don't stay here until the conversion is complete & a couple of good reviews have been posted. We camped at Wasatch View Estates and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Heartland Resort, Greenfield, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night, quite enough. Others have properly described the hook-ups as ancient but working. Our beef with this place is the rest rooms are awful. Dirty, old, beat-up, you name it. If you are not in a completely self-contained unit (and willing to use it) avoid this place like the plague. Service & our site were adequate although I can see were others would be disappointed by run-down permanent trailers. Wireless was down (presumably for upgrade) during our visit. Our neighbors disregarded the quiet hours. We camped at Heartland Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Berlin RV Park and Campground, Millersburg, Ohio

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is an almost new park and I can't say enough good about it. Welcoming, friendly office folks; clean restrooms & showers; neatly cut grass; herbs for cutting and use. The only negative is that it's right beside the highway so there is some road noise although at night it becomes minimal. We camped at Berlin RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Finz Resort , Blind Bay, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

The ownership recently changed so we weren't looking for FINZ. The sign at the main (CAN1) intersection fortunately was the "old" name but the sign at the CG had been changed so we drove right by it. Bad start. The site was narrow and had a delightful view of the back of a neighboring motel behind and a permanent trailer to the right. The neighbor's dog left a deposit right where our door opened. Strike 2. The laundry, bathrooms & showers were on the other side of the street to Blind Bay and weren't clean. Strike 3. One of the few parks I've stayed in which didn't have threaded pipe for the sewer connection; a rock to hold the hose in place. It might be on a pretty lake and have a restaurant but not a resort by a long shot. Hugely overpriced. On the plus side, the staff was friendly. We camped at Finz Resort in a Travel Trailer.
