Cabot Beach Provincial Park, Malpeque, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

W/E site overlooking Gulf. Most of the park sites are no services, but the ones on the bluff (we had site C) had W/E and a great view. 1 free Wifi per site and it was excellent. Shower house needed work, but it was adequate. Roads in PEI are in rough shape and the toll to cross the confederation bridge (pay as you leave) was $47.00 CN. It is an impressive bridge, but that seems pretty pricey. Mosquitoes were swarming at dusk. The drive in to Charlottetown is relatively easy but takes about an hour. You van park your RV downtown at Confederation Landing Lot for about $4.00 CN per hour. Charlottetown was worth the day trip. We camped at Cabot Beach Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

Pioneer Village Campground, Max Meadows, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

W/E/S + cable + Wifi. Lots of permanent trailers for people actually living there, but it was a relatively nice park. Sites were not very level, but it was doable. It was OK for an overnight as it was fairly convenient to I-81. We camped at Pioneer Village Campground in a Motorhome.

Century Farm Family Campground, St. Martins, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

W/E/S site on the Bay of Fundy. Large section of permanent trailers, but the visitors section overlooks the bay. Nice large open sites. Took the Bay of Fundy Trail and visited the village and caves. Hint: stop at the restaurants near the caves for breakfast and ask for a fog report on the Trail. We paid the high price to drive the trail and most of the views were concealed by the fog. Bay of Fundy is worth the visit. We camped at Century Farm Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Lunenburg Board of Trade Campground, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

RV Park is a 6, but this campground is all about location. W/E site near the blockhouse. Had to switch sites to find a level spot, but the visitor center folks were great. If you do arrive after hours, just pick a spot and check in the next morning. Sites are close together and there is Wifi, but the walk to town was about 4 blocks. Great location. Town of Lunenburg is worth the visit, and we were only in the RV Park to sleep. We camped at Lunenburg Board of Trade Campground in a Motorhome.

Hide Away Campground & Oyster Market, Dingwall, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Site was a Water/Electric site. No Wifi coverage at all. No OTA channels. Wooded level site. Took the Cabot Trail to get there up the west coast of Cape Breton. Road construction in the National Park was pretty bad. Didn't have an oysters or lobster the first night. Mosquitoes were swarming at dusk. We camped at Hide Away Campground & Oyster Market in a Motorhome.

Sunrise Campground, Miramichi, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

W/E/S site. Large field on the bay with many permanent trailers. Shower charge $1.00 CN (loony) for about 5 minutes of lukewarm water. Why? Good Wifi because the park was sparsely occupied. 1 OTA channel, but it was in English. We camped at Sunrise Campground in a Motorhome.

Petit-Gaspe Campground (Parks Canada), Forillon National Park, Quebec

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Park was relatively crowded and there was a line up to get into Forillon National Park. Cost did not include $4.00 per person per day entrance fee. Nice campground with W/E in loop A and loop E. Big level sites. It is a 30-40 minute drive to reach Gaspe from the campground. The drive arounf the Gaspe peninsula was worth the trip. 3 OTA channels all in French. We camped at Petit-Gaspe Campground (Parks Canada) in a Motorhome.

Quebec City KOA, Saint Nicolas, Quebec

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

Cost for Water/Electric/Sewer site. Large campground. Spacious sites. Great Washroom with 5 showers. Wifi was adequate. Shuttle ran from park to Quebec City visitor center in the morning with return in the afternoon or evening. $5 per adult if you took the red line double decker bus tour (hop/on off) of the city (worth the cost). Great place to stay if you are visiting Quebec. Don't try to drive and park your RV in Quebec City. We camped at Quebec City KOA in a Motorhome.

Boston Minuteman Campground, Littleton, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

$46 for W/E only. Wifi was horrible. Visited over the Labor Day weekend and the campground was packed. Sites are fairly close together and small. Lots of vehicles blocking/or nearly blocking the gravel roadways. Wooded campground very handy to I-495. We camped at Boston Minuteman Campground in a Motorhome.

Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, Mandan, North Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Rate does not include the $7.00 per person park admission fee. It is another $8.00 per person to tour the Custer House and the Indian Village. Avoid the pull through sites that are designed for two RV's. All the services are on one post, so someone will have to have a long hose and power cord. Sites were dirt (mud), but level. Shower house had 3 stalls, and it would get crowded if the campground is full. No WIFI, but good OTA TV. Nice wooded location near the river. We camped at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park in a Motorhome.

Red Trail Campground, Medora, North Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Water and Electric Site. No cable. Sites are Dirt, so in all the rain they were mud. Only 2 shower stalls for this crowded park. Sites are incredibly small and crammed close together. People towing parked parallel to their rigs, so there was little room for slide outs or awnings. It was a weekend and the campground was full. It was convenient to the town of Medora and the Theodore Roosevelt NP. There was some annoying loud Karaoke on Saturday night, but thankfully quiet hours were observed around 11 PM. Don't miss the Medora Musical, it will make you forget about the bad Karaoke. We camped at Red Trail Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice concrete pads. FHU. No cable and weak WIFI. Shower house had 4 stalls, and the laundry was free. Convenient to the Exchange and Commissary, and the Air Museum is worth a visit. The aircraft displays outside are pretty good. We camped at Ellsworth AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Whistler Gulch RV Park & Campground, Deadwood, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Small back-in site. Fairly level, gravel but overgrown site on a hill. No wifi coverage and a few OTA TV channels. FHU with no cable. Only 2 of 4 shower stalls were working, which were not enough for this size RV Park. It is a good location for visiting Deadwood and the shuttle to town is very convenient. $1.00 each way. I would stay here again when visiting Deadwood. We camped at Whistler Gulch RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
