Turkey Swamp Park, Freehold, New Jersey

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Another return trip to our favorite campground in New Jersey. Spectacular, large, wooded sites. Many wonderful trails. Rangers are friendly and helpful and pick up your garbage and recycling daily from your site. Only negative is no sewer. This park is a gem. We camped at Turkey Swamp Park in a Motorhome.

Spring Lake RV Resort, Crossville, Tennessee

Overall Rating:

Very pretty, very clean campground surrounding a lake. Arrived in the dark and the owner came out to help us back into the site (58). Only stayed one night; it seemed like a friendly community. We camped at Spring Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Typical older KOA campground. Sites were close and ours (50) took some time to level. Close to route 40. BEST dog park (large, nice grass, trees) ever! We camped at Elk City / Clinton KOA in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Nice walking trail surrounding this nice campground. Sites close but each one has a cement patio with table and chairs. Nice dog park. Workers very helpful. Laundry very clean but seems it would better serve the travelers if they had more machines. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pagosa Riverside Campground, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Forget how much we paid but it was reasonable. Extended our stay by several nights because we loved this campground so much. Stayed in site 80 on the San Juan River. Riverfront sites are close of course but if you're lucky enough to get one it will be worth the extra money and proximity to your neighbor. Lovely view, lovely to hear the water tumbling over the rocks. Lovely, in October, to watch the leaves falling from the riverfront trees. Nice paths to walk around the campground and by the river. VERY pleasant and helpful work-campers. Laundry clean. Would definitely return! We camped at Pagosa Riverside Campground in a Motorhome.

United Campground of Durango, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second stay at this campground. We returned because of the trolley just outside of the campground which takes us to town for 50 cents! Also, the train that travels through several times a day. Campers and train riders wave to each other...what fun! Sites are close but we were lucky enough to stay in site 58 for several days. Laundry was clean. Owners/workers were helpful and pleasant. The one thing that would make this campground perfect is if dogs were permitted to be walked across the tracks. We camped at United Campground of Durango in a Motorhome.

Badlands / White River KOA, Interior, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Can't remember how much we paid but we received a significant amount off the fee because of acquired KOA points. Stayed in this campground several nights while visiting the Badlands. Only AT&T cell connection across the street and up a hill. Sites close together. Nice walking trail around the campground. Nice dog park. We camped at Badlands / White River KOA in a Motorhome.

Salt Lake City KOA, Salt Lake City, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed several nights while visiting family in the area. This is a very large city campground; all sites are close. But it's clean and most sites have a tree or two. Workers pleasant and helpful. The laundry had many washers and dryers. There's a carwash large enough for RVs onsite. We camped at Salt Lake City KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed here several days while site-seeing in the area. Large and spacious sites. They have cars on-site available to rent, very convenient. Laundry was clean but only two washers/dryers. Would stay here again. We camped at Custer's Gulch RV Park in a Motorhome.

We are grateful for an earlier reviewer who recommended the cafe across the street. The BEST vegetable omelet of my life! Plenty to do in the area: Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park. Drive the Needles Highway!

St. Vrain State Park, Longmont, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Sorry, can't remember what we paid. Stayed one night in the full-hookups section. Would rate this part a 7 because, although spacious and clean, there were no trees. We had never stayed in a state park with so few trees. The second night we didn't have sewer but the site was much nicer (trees, shrubs). We camped at St. Vrain State Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Stayed several days in this campground while visiting family in Casper. Definitely the nicest campground in the area. On a river with a nice trail to walk. Very clean campground. The owner is very pleasant. Trees planted at each site and in the coming years they will provide much-needed shade. Stayed in site 55. Sites close but not too close.
