Buffalo Trace Park, Palmyra, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park with lots of shade in the campground. There is a nice fishing lake with a beach for swimmers. There is a nice walking/biking path around the lake which we enjoyed. Our site was a little unlevel (#53), but we rode around the campground and found a few others we would pick when we return. We camped at Buffalo Trace Park in a Motorhome.

Bill Monroe Memorial Music Park & Campground, Bean Blossom, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a music festival and the campground was very crowded. We came for the music, so of course it is convenient to stay in the campground during the festival. The restrooms near the back of the campground were open on Fri and Sat but smelled horrible. The restrooms near the stage were open and in much better shape. The showers are open from 7-10 am and pm, so if not there by 10 am would have to wait unit after the music starts to get a shower. We loved the music and friends we gather with each year, so will be going again next year. I'm not sure I would stay here otherwise. We camped at Bill Monroe Memorial Music Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Charlestown State Park, Charlestown, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park that is never very crowded. We spent this past Friday and Saturday and found our site was convenient with all hookups and a nice shaded site. Although the park was next to empty, the camp host tried to piss off as many people as possible. Heaven forbid that you park a car on the grass or get confused and accidentally go the wrong way down a road. He verbally screamed WRONG WAY, at least six times to a driver as he jumped off his golf cart waving his hands. On a crowded weekend, the poor little guy could have cardiac arrest. This is a place to go relax and leave the crazies in the cities. I don't understand since the park was so quiet. The park is nice and has lots of nice trails and a great place to ride bikes and spend time with family and friends. We will go again since the park is so close to home, but will try a spot further from the camp host spot. We camped at Charlestown State Park in a Motorhome.
