Shady Creek RV Park & Storage, Aubrey, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here on and off for 6 years. Spending a full year at one point. I continue to see improvements. One big problem is the WiFi, we couldn't connect. It would be a big improvement to get cable tv. Money spent on landscaping could have been spent for cable. Staff is friendly, park is clean. And thank goodness they have stopped the trash removal at 4 am. We'll be back, best park in the area. We camped at Shady Creek RV Park & Storage in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you can't find something to do in Dallas, it's your fault. Plenty of good shopping and eats. Try Market Street in Frisco for your groceries. Area is growing so fast I won't even recognize it next time.

Rutlader Outpost RV Park, Louisburg, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed with there for the last five years during the summer. Things have changed, and not for the best. The Opry has closed. We requested our usual site, and was told things have changed. Our usual overlooking of the pond, the horses, was left open and we were left with a view of the gravel, other rigs and the dust. It seems that if you aren't in the click, you are left holding the bag. Rules are left to the ownership, I found the park receptionist had her dog in the office, a strict violation of the rules. We only had 3 washers for most of the summer until my wife leveled one of them. We travel with a dog, and are courteous to others to pick up our waste. We had to ask to have the dog waste be emptied and it took nearly 3 weeks before it was. I usually don't burn bridges, but feel this park has become to expensive for what is offered. The final straw was when they came to our site and put on a water meter. Ownership complains to much as to what things are costing them, and that should not be disseminated to the residents. I feel as they are getting ready to jack up the prices again. This all started after they purchased a $300k rig and parked it so we all could see. When we started staying here it was $440 month, it is now over $500. With the addition of the new parks in Hillsdale, I feel we will not be coming back. I really liked ownership guess they didn't like me. We camped at Rutlader Outpost RV Park in a Motorhome.

8 miles to Drexel, Mo. 6 miles to Louisburg. 18 miles to Overland Park. Yep kinda out there. They were the closest thing we found to Olathe, and the KC area, but that has changed. The best food around is the BBQ shack in Paola, Ks. I think next year we will play the State Park sites. We are full timers and spend 5 months in the KC area.

Adventureland Campground, Altoona, Iowa

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Attached to an amusement park you can expect kids, big families and noise. Hard to find signage led us to miss entrance. Older park, older infrastructure. Casino across street. Watch your speed, speed nazi will get you. Grass needs cutting and trees need trimming. We camped at Adventureland Campground in a Motorhome.

Fortune Bay Resort Casino RV Park, Tower, Minnesota

First of all it's connected to the casino, about a block away. Gravel, level pads. Water and electric only. Water hose not available at dump station, faucet out of order. Had to call front desk to get bathroom serviced. Casino and park very secluded and nestled in amongst the surrounding lakes. We camped at Fortune Bay Resort Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.
