Gordon Howe Campground, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

What a find. I would have given this a 10, except there was no sewer at the site. Otherwise it's a wonderful park. Lots of shrubs and trees make each site secluded. No satellite (too many trees. Very strong Wi-Fi. Sites are huge and easy to back into. Highly recommend this park We camped at Gordon Howe Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Fern Lake Campground, Paducah, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Do not know where previous reviewers stayed, but it was not this park. No one ever was at the office. There is sign outside with directions for overnighters. It is nothing more than a gravel site, with full hookups. No nothing. Was OK for overnight and convenient to Quilting Museum, but I would not recommend it for anything but one night. We camped at Fern Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nashville KOA, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park. As usual in a KOA staff was very friendly and helpful. They had rented out the music barn while we were there and apologized in advance for the probable noise. They informed us that they were increasing their security to prevent any trouble. There were no problems. Park is very close to Grand Ole Opry, shopping and lots of other things. They even have a concierge, who was helpful. Pull thru was level, with a decent separation from neighbors. We are a big rig and had no trouble. We camped at Nashville KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga, Rossville, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Watch your GPS, physical address is TN, but actual location is GA. This is a nice park, but sites are narrow. We are a big rig and could not pull out of our site without hitting the tree at corner of site. Luckily, we were able to back out into site behind us and make the exit turn. Good location for touring the Chattanooga area. We camped at Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga in a Fifth Wheel.

Big Meadow Family Campground, Townsend, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. Close to Great Smokey Mtn NP. Sites were level, wide and clean. Would have rated this park higher, except for price. This way too expensive of a park. As a result, we stayed only one night. We camped at Big Meadow Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lakeview RV Park, Bluff City, Tennessee

This is a really nice park. Staff was also nice and helpful. Nice spot to relax or tour local area. We are not Nascar fans, but stumbled into this park on Bristol Speedway's event of the year. Park was full of banners, flags, etc. Office went out of their way, to squeeze us in for one night. If possible, would have stayed here much longer. We camped at Lakeview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Elkhorn Campground, Frankfort, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Park is OK. Sites are long enough for our big rig to fit easily, but very narrow. Thank goodness for wide road to allow us to maneuver into site. Staff was nice. Lots of people seemed to be enjoying the pool. A VERY BIG CAUTION !! DO NOT ARRIVE BEFORE 1pm. Entrance road is a one lane road and narrow. Someone would have to back up a long way!! We camped at Elkhorn Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park. convenient to Louisville, even the Bourbon Trail and Mammoth Cave. We are a big rig and they handled us easily. Sites are nice and wide with plenty of space between. Our teenage granddaughters loved the "bouncy thing", golf putting and the pool. Staff was nice and also helpful. We camped at Louisville South KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is OK. staff is nice. Sites are level with decent separation. Might have rated it higher, except for train and road noise. Was terrible !! However, I am a light sleeper, my wife on the other hand, did not notice noise as much as I did. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Brown County State Park, Nashville, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful park. If you are not a big rig, this would probably be a 9 or 10. However, we are a 53' combo truck/5th and we had LOTS OF PROBLEMS with the little turnarounds at end of site area's. Took about 5-6 tries before we could finally maneuver around. Site was downhill, so the front of trailer was almost touching the ground and I had to put blocks under rear jacks to get it up high enough for leveling bubble to even touch the mark! We camped at Brown County State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park - Knightstown, Knightstown, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Even though we have no kids with us, we enjoyed this park. Nice staff, very wide and long sites. We are a big rig, but had no problem with very long pull thru sites. Do not be disheartened by "side by side" sites. Power pole is in back of site. So if you park at back of your site, you can easily reach water, sewer and power. If your neighbor does the same, the sites are so long, you will not even be facing each other. Besides, the green space between is large. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park - Knightstown in a Fifth Wheel.

Chicago Northwest KOA, Union, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Typical KOA, very nice staff, clean, level sites. Would have scored higher, but the utility setup was bad. Power, water and sewer were right smack in the middle of the neighbors green area. So, they had to move chairs etc way off from their trailer. If you want to turn off or on anything, you had to walk right thru their area. Never have seen anything so poorly laid out. We camped at Chicago Northwest KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

I read a lot of negatives about this park, but found none. Very nice staff, walked around with us and helped pick best site for our desires. Then helped us park. Gravel, wide, level sites. Some with beautiful views of mountains. No electrical problems, no problems at all. We camped at Sugar Loafin' RV Campground & Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

Cutty's Hayden Creek Resort, Coaldale, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Wow, beautiful views, great staff, nice sites. Very tight for our 35' fiver and MDT, but worth the view. Water is from stream, so must be boiled or treated. However, they warn you when making reservations to bring your tanks full. Staff went out of their way to help us into the site we wanted. Lots and Lots of family activities. We camped at Cutty's Hayden Creek Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
