Marina Bay RV Resort, Kemah, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2007 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We were quite surprised at check-in to learn that nightly rate had just jumped to $39. That alone is not a reason to rate the park lower, but the very narrow sites and congested parking is. Lots of long-term construction workers and it seemed like all of them cranked up their diesel trucks at 5AM. The park is in a great location for surrounding attractions, but at $39 we will stay elsewhere (maybe the new one being built next door). We camped at Marina Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Safari RV Park, League City, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Located in a mobile home area, but the RV section is pretty nice. Concrete patios, full hookups, shade trees, easy in/out, big rig friendly wide sites, friendly staff, and Passport America rates make this a real bargain for the area. We camped at Safari RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park, West Memphis, Arkansas

Date of Stay: March, 2007 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here based on reviews from this website and we were not disappointed. Having camped all over the country for over 20 years we can say one thing for sure about this one: it is very unique. You are not just "near" the river, you are right on it. It is really neat to watch all the river traffic chugging up and down the river. There is certainly no road noise, but you do hear the tugboats. The office staff was very friendly and the park was very nice. Concrete pads, full hookups, and yes, a FREE laundromat. We will stay here again when passing through. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Motorhome.

Buckhorn Lake Resort, Kerrville, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2006 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

All things considered, facilities, amenities, beautiful setting, easy access. You will not find a nicer park than this one anywhere. Close to everything one would need: shopping, restaurants, San Antonio, etc. The only possible negative for some might be road noise from I-10. A small price to pay for such natural beauty (our humble opinion). We camped at Buckhorn Lake Resort in a Motorhome.
