Gig Harbor RV Resort, Gig Harbor, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for 5-6 days and on the 2nd to last night we found out about the shooting range within hearing distance! Oh my, guns firing until dark, nearly all day. Also, the pad we were on was the gravel the size of a fist and difficult to get level on and hard to even walk on. We would not stay here again. We camped at Gig Harbor RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Golden Coach RV Park, Cromberg, California

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is the second time we've stayed here. It's only 1.5 hours from our home and is a great, quick weekend get-away. It's nestled in the pines and is quiet and dark at night (important to us). The managers are always friendly and helpful. We camped at Golden Coach RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Midway RV Park, Vacaville, California

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We had late check in and there was an envelope pinned to the door, as promised, with all the info we could possibly need. The park was clean with lots of Eucalyptus trees and planted flower boxes. There was plenty of room between RVs which is very important to me. We were there for the races in Sonoma and were riding our Harley over on Sunday. When I asked about late checkout on Sunday (5 PM), he said how late? marked it on his book and there was no additional charge!! The roads are a bit bumpy and narrow but it was no problem to maneuver through the park. I would definitely camp here again. We camped at Midway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Chris' Camp, Spearfish, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The park has lots of grass and the site we set up on was all grass. It was pretty unlevel but we were able to get our lego blocks out and adjust. It did make the step into the RV a bit high though. The front desk was very accommodating and gave us several different options then took me around on his cart to look at the spots before I chose. There was lots of space between RVs but the park was also not very full. We would stay here again. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Big Pine Campground, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here on our annual vacation for 12 nights. Our spot was perfect! We were at the top of the park and we looked right out on a beautiful green meadow. At night we could sit in our lounge chairs and watch the sunset, star gaze and just relax in the QUIET! The owners were so very helpful, took us right to our spot, helped us back in and sold us firewood. We had forgotten our little hatchet for cutting kindling, so the owner brought us up kindling for the whole stay at no additional charge. The laundry room had very good washers & dryers too. This place was close to everything and so easy to get in and out of. If we ever go to South Dakota again, we won't think twice about staying here. The owners are superb! We camped at Big Pine Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We hauled our Harley in our toy hauler and rode to every scenic attraction available on the west side of South Dakota. Very centrally located for the tourist and the town of Custer in minutes away.
