Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park of Estes, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was friendly. The ice cream cart that comes by was a favorite of our children. The activities are good for young children - although they can get loud at night. The swimming pool needed cleaning the first day, but there were a lots of people in it. The second day we went at an off peak time and it was much cleaner. Some of the sites could be hard to get to with a larger rig, the road we camped on was curvy and hilly. We did have lots of shade at our site. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park of Estes in a Tent Trailer.

Golden Gate Canyon State Park, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of our favorite places to camp. All of the sites are very well shaded. Other than A loop most have lots of spacing between the sites. There are trails throughout the park and wonderful views. Our children also have enjoyed the weekend ranger program - where they learned what to do when lost and how to build a campfire. If you want more of a wilderness experience this is a great place. There are no nearby restaurants this is more of the go to be with nature kind of place. We camped at Golden Gate Canyon State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Lake Pueblo State Park, Pueblo, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2005 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

If you have a boat this might be a great place, otherwise I don't recommend it. It was blazing hot and the sites have NO shade. It was also very windy. Friends of ours also went boating here, but the high winds caused such waves they had couldn't safely take their kids on the water. This was after waiting over an hour to get to the dock. We camped at Lake Pueblo State Park in a Tent Trailer.
