Sunset Resort - Lake Tawakoni, Quinlan, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed while attending the 1st Monday Trade Days in Canton. The park is just as advertised. We operate a RV park in another state so we have certain expectations. The sites were generous size, mostly level and the staff was courteous. The other campers were friendly and helpful. It was a nice quiet stay and our maiden voyage in our new 5th wheel. We had a good time and would recommend to our friends. We camped at Sunset Resort - Lake Tawakoni in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Canton was an easy drive. Greenville has many restaurants and good shopping. Fishing is probably pretty good and the park is right on the lake.

Wilderness Oaks RV Park (formerly Rockport 35 RV Park Resort), Rockport, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The people at the park were very nice and very friendly. I think it has recently changed management. Our reservation was messed up, but they tried to make it right by applying a discount. Our group had a good time during our stay, but the park is very crowded and the WiFi was very slow. Rockport is slammed during the winter and RV sites are difficult to find. The park was OK for parking, but the section we were in was too tight. There were airplanes flying all day as the Navy trainers use the adjacent airport. The highway and associated noise was quite close to our section. The people were great and the sites were concrete and level, but not a premium campground. Good in a pinch. We camped at Wilderness Oaks RV Park (formerly Rockport 35 RV Park Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

American RV Park & Sales, Corsicana, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2006 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The park is very large and has pull thru's and back in sites. The management team were friendly. There isn't much to do in Corsicana, but the park isn't bad. Fill up on propane before you get there. I stayed for a couple of months and bought a load of propane for my coach. The price of propane is very high here. We camped at American RV Park & Sales in a Motorhome.
