Hollywood Casino Hotel & RV Park, Robinsonville, Mississippi

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

It was a little difficult to figure out how to get into the RV park. It is behind the right side of the hotel. We parked at the RV park and then went in the hotel to register for parking even though we already had reservations. They told us we needed to pick out a spot and come back and pay. There were not many pull throughs and those were all taken even though the park was not busy. The park was clean the utilities worked fine and, depending on which site you choose, it was a pleasant stay. There is nothing else to do in the area and a bit out-of-the-way if you were just passing through. We camped at Hollywood Casino Hotel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Dub'l R RV Park, Brinkley, Arkansas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This little park is mostly seasonal or permanent but everyone keeps an immaculate site. Owner lives in home on site and was very friendly. When we called ahead there was only one site open so be sure to call. (870-589-0850) Park is about 4 miles off 40 and roads going through town are narrow but manageable. Going Eastbound on 40, take exit 216 not 202 as our GPS suggested. Turn right on 49 then after 3 miles turn left on 49. As soon as you are on top of bridge slow to turn left at 2nd drive. If coming in at night be careful of culvert when turning into park. Pull in to the right to go around pole barn. No amenities but satellite and Verizon worked fine. Grass for pets. We camped at Dub'l R RV Park in a Motorhome.

Burlington RV Park, Burlington, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very small yet conveniently located park with pull through sites. Good for overnight stay along the road. Beware of pulling out in different direction from which you enter because there is quite a drop off. No amenities. Reservations are not necessary. We camped at Burlington RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We had a great steak at the country club restaurant Spices On The Green. The owner and his wife were chef and server and a delight to meet. I don't think you could find a better meal in town. A bit pricey but well worth it.

Overall Rating:

This all gravel park is just fine for an easy in and out even for our 45' bus with tow. 50amp/ 30amp at each site. Wifi, Verizon & satellite are good. Use Google Maps because Garmin is NOT correct. Reservations not necessary. We camped at McPherson RV Ranch & Horse Motel in a Motorhome.

Pacific Pines RV Park & Storage, Florence, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice little park for the area with landscaping. If you have pets, be aware there is NO grass and a very small dog run. The park staff was super nice. Even though we had a pull thru, it would not accommodate our tow but the staff had a very convenient place for tow. The roads are tight if you have a 45' rig, but doable. We camped at Pacific Pines RV Park & Storage in a Motorhome.

Loved Sea lion caves $$ but it's a hike. Sea lions can really only be seen with binoculars. Better view is in downtown Newport if your travels take you there.

Gilgal Oasis RV Park, Sequim, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small campground but such a breath of fresh air with green grass. The work campers who ran the park were awesome and showed a lot of concern for both park and customers and also very knowledgeable about area. There were a couple of ladies there to watch your pet should you decide to go to Victoria for the day. If you are a big rig, you will want the pull through sites but recommend you back in because the turn into the site would be very difficult. There is little area on which to walk your dog but it is kept clean. Verizon was good here. We camped at Gilgal Oasis RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the ferry to see Buckart Gardens, Victoria BC. You can book transportation to the gardens when you are on the ferry which will include ticket to the gardens. If you want to eat in the tea room restaurant, make reservations as soon as you arrive. DO NOT take your auto. I would not suggest shopping near the ferries. Very much touristy and $$. The gardens were worth the whole day trip.

Hoquiam River RV Park, Hoquiam, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

A lot of extended stay trailers here but, all in all a decent park which accommodated our 45' motor home. The staff was very friendly. We Enjoyed the river and small dog trail. There was a community fire ring. Very poor town but we went to the rain forest. We camped at Hoquiam River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Silver Cove Resort, Silverlake, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The owners have dumped a huge amount of money into the roads and buildings here. You will have no problems maneuvering any rig. The office staff is very friendly. There are separate areas for extended stay and short term people. There is plenty of grass on which to walk your dog and boat rentals for the small lake. Great location for seeing Mt. St. Helens. WiFi is spotty at best and Verizon no good. Our only complaint is, for the size of this place and its sites, landscaping is lacking. We camped at Silver Cove Resort in a Motorhome.

Puyallup Fair Grounds, Puyallup, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We gave it an average rating because it is really just a grass field with hookups but at least it is easy for a 45' motor home to get in and out of and is conviently located behind the fairgrounds. If fact, we would stay here again if in the area. At least the price was right and cell service was good - Verizon. You choose your site when you arrive so if not busy, there is plenty of room to spread out. We called ahead for reservations. We camped at Puyallup Fair Grounds in a Motorhome.

Maple Grove RV Resort, Everett, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

BEST FOR AREA! Sites here are very close together but if you let the wonderful staff in the office know your specific requirements, it is doable in a 45' Prevost which we have. There is no grass or true dog walk area but none in area is better. WiFi was very good. You won't find a cleaner park anywhere and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Yes, it is expensive but, when compared to your options in the area, we were very happy here and other renters were friendly and seemed to care about one another. You could eat off the floor in the bathrooms and, for that matter, the paved asphalt streets and concrete pads were immaculate as well. The sites are wide enough to park tow along side but very snug. We backed our rig into the pull-through. We camped at Maple Grove RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

See Chihuly Glass Sculpture and Gardens in Seattle even if that is the only reason to drive into city! Etta's Restaurant is $$$$ but worth it if you go to Pikes Market. Suggest reservations even for lunch.I suggest a 2 hour food tour which can also be booked online. Out of state visitors can sign up for temporary (14 day) $$ toll pass.

Swinomish Northern Lights Casino RV Park, Anacortes, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

A basic park but with full hookups of which only a few pull-throughs are 50 amp. Reservations are required. Don't park until you check in. The RV park and check-in is behind casino and hard to see. There is a gravel/dirt overflow lot in back as well. No hookups there but dump station nearby. Clean park with good grass for pets. North Spokane RV Campground, Spokane, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

We liked the fact that trees did not obstruct our satellite. They have pages of rules which are fine but it made checking in a lengthy process. Staff does not readily answer phone if you need help with navigation or something else. No outgoing mail service but P.O. is close by. Our coach is 45'. Basic campground but well kept and big enough for 45' motor home. Level sites and roads. Owner is onsite and meticulous about rules which, we think, is a good thing in a small park. No trees but great park for short visit. Yes, there is grass for pets, and owner and staff are very accommodating. They are still expanding though not bothersome. We pulled up in front to left of office and had to back up to get to the proper road so you might want to hang back to avoid backing. There are parks with views and trees elsewhere but we liked it here for cell and WiFi. We camped at Heartland RV Park & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If going north from Denver we took I-25 to I-85 to 18 and then over to 79. Roads were fabulous for 45' towing. Little traffic after leaving Denver area. Don't arrive after dark because park isn't lit well for arrivals then though park is right off Highway 79. Easy to miss when heading North, MM79 on left if traveling North.

Lots of maps and brochures in the office and a video on campground website for car trip.
