Spring Mill State Park, Mitchell, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Only a couple campsites available when we arrived. Our site was on a big hill - extremely steep. Had a hard time getting a camper tent level - never would have gotten an RV in there. Ended up putting our tent cross ways to get it level. Sites were wooden but close together. Very busy campground on a weekend. Women's bathhouse had great showers - men's needed shower head taken off to get good pressure. Food was scarce - only a few restaurants nearby. Good ways into town. We camped at Spring Mill State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Go on Saturday morning to see the mill run. We were there for the Pioneer Days and lots of events were happening. They were also running the sawmill that morning as well as grinding corn. Very interesting. Great place to take family.

Would give a 5 but no WIFI available. Campsite was very large and grassy. Shower house had push buttons on the water faucets, but they were clean and convenient. Water could have been warmer. Very quiet. Park was nice. We camped at Clifty Falls State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Lake Cumberland State Resort Park, Jamestown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Campsites are all very un-level. Unless you have been there - watch out, you could be in for a surprise. Use street view to see the site, not Reserve America. Bathrooms are kept up well but few and far between. Easy access to boat ramp and lake. Camp store closes by 8:00. They cut a huge tree the day before we arrived and left it on our site. We walked around it the whole time we were there. We camped at Lake Cumberland State Resort Park in a Tent Trailer.

My Old Kentucky Home State Park, Bardstown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Nice sites. Fairly quiet considering it is in town. Restrooms were shut down for an hour for cleaning at 9 a.m. We had to wait to take showers which caused us to leave later than we wanted to. Why not clean at check out time????? Mud outside the restrooms so the floors were continually slick!!! Very dangerous!! The electric posts are very far away from the pad - make sure you have a long extension cord. Would probably stay there again if need be. We camped at My Old Kentucky Home State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Cincinnati South Campground, Crittenden, Kentucky

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Trapped between I 75, a railroad, and the State Highway this campground is VERY LOUD!!! The hourly train goes all night long as do both the roads. We "supposedly" we given a spot close to the restrooms, but it was forever to get there. Very close spots were available on the other side of the building???? The restrooms and showers were nice as was the park itself, but the noise ruins it all. We camped at Cincinnati South Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Savannah Oaks RV Resort, Savannah, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

After checking in by phone and asked for electric, we were given a site w/o 20 amp service. Only 50 amp was available at our pole. Lots of permanent unattended campers. Bathrooms flooded when the shower was used due to the drain not working. Told the attendant in the office who didn't seem to care. Lots were extremely close, and the gate was hard to use. We camped at Savannah Oaks RV Resort in a Tent Trailer.

Savannah South KOA, Richmond Hill, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Very close to your neighbors. Lake was beautiful with tons of wildlife. Ground was sandy and had a lot of debris. Great place to get on the shuttle which takes you down to the Savannah tours. They pick you up at the office and, after a day in town, return you back to the KOA. No parking costs or traffic to worry about. Staff was very helpful in getting it arranged for us. Crowded and sandy but very nice people and facilities. We camped at Savannah South KOA in a Tent Trailer.

Lake Aire RV Park & Campground, Hollywood, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This campground has poor drainage when it rains. All the sites had water in them after a day of rain. Facilities were nice, and the laundry mat worked well. About a 1/2 hour drive to most attractions. Close to plantations. Long gravel driveway was rough. We camped at Lake Aire RV Park & Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Beware taxes are a lot! This campsite ended up costing us over $43.00 per night. Very, very soggy due to rain - need to add some rock to driveway.

Red Rock Park, Churchrock, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived at this facility before 7:00, set up camp, and went to eat. No attendant available. When we returned, we found out the bathrooms/shower houses were locked!!! An attendant (which never arrived) was supposed to give you a key. The place was downright scary and should be shut down! There were wild dogs roaming everywhere, one dog was caged and when anyone drove by threw the most horrible fit trying to get out and get you, and quite frankly it's was a dangerous place with people walking around at night! We should have left, but it was too dark and too hard to tear the camper down so my husband slept with a shotgun at our sides. We used the bushes for bathrooms that night - no drinking water available either. The next morning we went to PAY and couldn't even find the place to do it. As we left we finally stumbled upon the building and found the attendant. After paying, we asked to speak to the supervisor and was granted that wish. We were told that the place is a hangout for drunks coming over from the reservations. The bathrooms are locked after 7:00 because they all want to sleep there. The dogs belong to them and a lady who lives there and works nights. The attendant was very nice, returned our camping fee, and has even taken these issues to the town to get them changed. He told us the attendant had quit so no one was ever going to come to unlock the bathrooms. He was very nice as he told us the dilemma. However, that does not change the fact that it is a very unsafe, scary place where people use the bathroom everywhere. Do NOT stay there. We have traveled all over the US and never seen such a place. I would take my chances in a field along the interstate before staying here again. We camped at Red Rock Park in a Tent Trailer.

Salina KOA, Salina, Kansas

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We camped here in October in a motorcycle camper. Felt safe and the place was nice. Attendants were helpful. Only drawback was that the roads were dirt and the place was so dusty. The places are close together so if someone comes into the park in the middle of the night and drives tent stakes and sets up camp next to you, you are going to know it (which we did). Bathrooms were nice and showers were warm. We camped at Salina KOA in a Tent Trailer.

Corral RV Park, Dalhart, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Average place. Attendant was nice. Internet costs more for additional people, which we paid however the internet did not work at all that night. No attendant on duty to fix the problem. There is one bath/shower house for the area. If someone is showering, you can't use the toilet. Places are super close to each other. Looks like most people live there year around. Probably would pass on staying there again. We camped at Corral RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Country Rose RV Park, Fredonia, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park for 4 nights, and it was a great center point to travel to all the attractions around us. We were not afraid to leave all our stuff there all day unattended. The fellow who runs it is fabulous and very helpful. He's a great source of info. Sent us to eat at the Cowboy Butte Grill! It's a 10!!!!! The w/d service was so helpful. The bathrooms and showers were clean. One night someone came in late and made tons of noise. The next day they were told to leave or calm down. We could have used a place like this one throughout our entire trip!!! Would definitely go back!!!! We camped at Country Rose RV Park in a Tent Trailer.

Go to eat at Cowboy Butte Grille! It has fabulous steak and homemade pies! My husband and I shared a steak and added another vegetable. Plenty big, and he is a big eater. We were going to go back to eat the second time, but found out they are closed on Mondays.

Valle's RV Park, Mexican Hat, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Average place but could use some work. We camped here late in the year and needed power. That was a fiasco because we had to go back into the office to get a fuse. The attendant was very nice to us, and we ate a good meal at the restaurant. We were one of two campers that night. However, I have never been in such a loud place. Rafters came up and down the hill behind us all night from the river below. Dogs, cats, rooster, coyotes, etc. were everywhere making noise all night. Even had a cat/dog fight under our pop out bed! No sleep that night! The bathrooms need some serious work for the price. Got into one, got undressed and wet, and the shower head fell off. Had to transfer all my stuff to the other one in front of the windows with no blinds. The door locks were not working or trustworthy. Even though the attendant was great, we would probably find another place to stay if we are in the area again especially for the price. We camped at Valle's RV Park in a Tent Trailer.
