Cathead Creek Ranch and RV Park, Darien, Georgia

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Basically a big field with sites set up. Very friendly folks. Very level site. Easy in and out, 3 miles from 95. Cable and very good WiFi which as we know is a rarity. We will definitely come again as we travel through. We camped at Cathead Creek Ranch and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Azalea Acres RV Park, Robertsdale, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We only were there passing through for one night, but it was very nice. The manager had us call when we were a few minutes away then met us up front and showed us to our site. The next day, we were having trouble getting our big slideout in. My husband was having some medical issues and was unable to get on his knees. The owner was tending her beautiful roses and sent a gentleman to help. He was able to get it in so we could be on our way. The park is nice, mostly level gravel site. It was very clean and the wifi was very good. We camped at Azalea Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Destiny Dallas RV Resort, Denton, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park. We stayed in a "Gold Site" which was more expensive, but worth it. We had a side yard on a corner lot. We stayed a week and were very happy with our site. The park is clean and the staff friendly. The WiFi was good! The only amenity I wish they had was cable tv, which would have been nice for the price. It is conveniently located and easy access. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Destiny Dallas RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Abilene RV Park, Abilene, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We are a Christian prison ministry. Some of the reviews said the owners were Christians. We chose this park partly because of that. I so wanted to give them a good review. But, I can't. The place is dirty and ill kept. We were only staying one night, passing through. I wish we had stayed at Walmart or a rest area. The 65' site was barely long enough to fit our 40' rv and toad in. The sites are so close together. The road noise was so loud. Usually I don't hear it inside, but it almost rocked the coach when a truck went by, which was every minute. I can't recommend this place and I won't stay here again. We camped at Abilene RV Park in a Motorhome.

Berry Springs RV Park, Georgetown, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We had to come into Georgetown unexpectedly. When I called they said that they didn't have any pull troughs left. But, she called back and had rearranged a reservation to give us one. Then, we had to stay an extra night for business and our site was promised to someone else. They went out of their way to arrange it so that we could stay without having to move. Above and beyond the call! The park was FULL! Sites are pretty close together, but enough room to not feel sardined in. It was clean and I felt safe. It is right off the highway, but I didn't hear any traffic. We camped at Berry Springs RV Park in a Motorhome.

Oasis RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second time at Oasis RV Resort and again we really enjoyed it. We were in town for business, so we don't look for "resort" amenities, but enjoy the cleanliness and friendliness of the park. The sites are big enough, and very clean and well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is very conveniently located to I40 and pretty much anywhere in Amarillo. We will definitely stay here again if we're in the area. Price reflects weekly rate. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Wagon Wheel RV Park, Portales, New Mexico

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This park is indeed open. It's run by an older couple. There really isn't much to it, with few amenities, but it works for a night. The site was long enough that we didn't have to unhook the toad. The only downside for us was when we walked our little dog, she got sand burrs in her paws. It was right off of Rt. 70 so it was great for a stop for the night. We camped at Wagon Wheel RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lakeview RV Park, Citronelle, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the most beautiful parks we have ever come across. It was mid week in Oct, but we were one of the only campers there. Very clean! There are a few pull through sites, but we chose to back in, over the lake. So pretty to wake up and have coffee in the morning looking at the lake.
Peaceful, quiet...amazing! The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is that I had little to no Verizon phone service there and thus no internet (over my HotSpot). I work from the road, so that was a problem. I would go back though, for a few days. We camped at Lakeview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Little Ocmulgee State Park, McRae, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a BEAUTIFUL State Park and one of the few we have found with electric and sewer service. The strange thing is that most of the 50 amp sites, which are few, don't have sewers. The 30 amp site do though. The sites are large, most of them pretty shaded. Nice lake, great golf course, playgrounds, and nice open spaces. We have stayed here before and have come back...the cons are: little to no TV signal, phone (Verizon) is low signal so that even my Hot Spot works only part of the day. and no WiFi.

Other than that it is one of my favorite spots. We camped at Little Ocmulgee State Park in a Motorhome.

Not much to do in this area. Nearest bigger town is about 30 miles.

Glenwood Acres RV Park, Concord, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stay at this park often. There aren't many RV choices in the area. It is convenient to many areas of Charlotte. It's a very basic park, the clean and level sites. Some long term residents but everything is well kept. Fairly quiet considering the big roads around it. Good 50 amp service and sewers, good water pressure. Friendly owner. We camped at Glenwood Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pine Ridge Campground, Roebuck, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this little gem for 4 nights. Very clean and quiet park. Our site was level. The wifi was pretty good except during peak hours. We really enjoyed our stayed here. They have a nice pool and small playground. When we were preparing to leave, we had a problem retracting our leveler. The young man in the office came with tools and crawled under our RV.He spent over an hour helping us. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Pine Ridge Campground in a Motorhome.

Tomahawk Speedway Campground, Tomahawk, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

The first thing we noticed as we drove in, was that it looked nothing like the website pictures. The second thing was the ANTS. The sites are very sandy and hubby starting spraying to kill ants before we even set up. The site was very unlevel and ended up with the driver side tires off the ground. There were a few pull through sites and these were the only that furnished 50 amp. We would have chosen a grassier site if it was 50 amp.

It is right next to the dirt track and if you go, you get in free when you stay at the park. It was a fun Saturday evening. I believe that this is the same park that is listed as Tomahawk Campground and RV Park on Good Sam.

The sad thing is that this could be a wonderful park with WORK! It needs a lot of trimming and cutting, leveling and pest control. But the sites are good size and some of the back in sites were pretty shaded.

The cell service was bad for Verizon, though the WIFI was decent. We got very few stations on our TV antenna. It is run by a younger couple and the lady was friendly and helpful.

We left 3 days early. If we go back to that area, we will find another place. We camped at Tomahawk Speedway Campground in a Motorhome.

Ross Camp, West Lafayette, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

This place is soooo pretty! We were the only ones there on a Tuesday night. All the sites are back in, but they are spacious. All gravel except one for handicapped which is paved and has a paved sidewalk to the bathroom. They had water and 50 amp service, but no sewer. That was fine with us for one night, but hard to stay for any length of time. They do have a dump station though. For 21$ it was perfect for a place to lay over for the night. We camped at Ross Camp in a Motorhome.

Horseshoe Bend RV Campground and Boat Ramp, Leavenworth, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice little place right on the bank of the Ohio River. Quiet and peaceful. They had a little laundry room, but we didn't use it.
The road coming in was narrow and a little bumpy, but manageable.
There are 2 rows, the Inner and Outer. The inner is on the river bank and cost 10$ more. There were very few shaded sites in either row, but it seemed the outer had a little more shade. All the sites are back in.
The Camp Store was closed the whole time we were there, (and looked like they had been for a while)so be sure to get your supplies before you get there, it is 20 miles to the closest real grocery store.
There was almost no phone signal (Verizon)...I could get a text out sometimes. The WIFI was pretty good, except on weekends. Also we couldn't pick up any tv channels, even with our booster.
There were 2 restaurants close by.

All in all it was a good value. We camped at Horseshoe Bend RV Campground and Boat Ramp in a Motorhome.

Glenwood Acres RV Park, Concord, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is a smaller RV Park, but it has huge overflow fields used for race weekends. It's RIGHT next to Charlotte Motor Speedway...walking distance. So, race weekends are crazy crowded. But the rest of the time it is awesome. The regular park has full hookups, pull through sites. The sites are fairly good size and level. It is very convenient to 85 and 485. Near Concord Mills, lots of shopping.
If you come during race time, the overflow fields are mostly dry camping...just a field to park in with porta potties...but it is really convenient. We camped at Glenwood Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.
