Natalbany Creek Campground & RV Park, Amite, Louisiana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Pricey for what you get. It's a nice park with some nice spacious sites but our site was barely big enough to contain our rig. The park is clean and reasonably quiet given the 4th weekend. However the picnic tables are in need of some serious attention. Watch your height when checking in. Water pressure was 23 lbs which made for a poor shower. We camped at Natalbany Creek Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bayley's Camping Resort, Scarborough, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park. The last time we stayed here, we had a lovely spot. This time however, I went with the recommendation from the girl in the office and accepted site P-4. It was a huge mistake. We stayed for two weeks and our site was very close to the game room, so peace and quiet was one thing we never got. There's constantly golf carts running around well over the posted speed limit. Trucks delivering at 4 am, etc. Pick your spot carefully and you'll have a nice time. Their RV tech was a godsend though! He works hard for his money. I hope the resort realizes how valuable he is to their operation. We camped at Bayley's Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Bypass the close seafood joints and head to Docks Seafood in So. Portland. Much better food and way less money.

Cochiti Lake COE , Pena Blanca, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Found this campground on Recreation.gov. We had a great pull-through site with 50A and full hookups. The site itself was paved, long and level and very spacious with a fabulous view of Cochiti Lake. There's a covered picnic table and while it was hot (100 degrees), low humidity and the breeze off the lake made it quite bearable. Santa Fe is about 15-20 miles away with plenty of shops, groceries, restaurants, etc. Don't listen to your GPS if it tries to get you to take a right turn once inside the main gate. That's the visitors center. You should proceed straight ahead and at the bottom of the hill, you'll find the campground. There were plenty of really nice sites available and we had no problems finding a spot. We camped at Cochiti Lake COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Nearby pueblo had a celebration going on and we got to see at least 200 hundred Native Americans celebrating in full dress. There's a Visitors Center with info nearby.

Plymouth Park COE, Plymouth, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

What a great little find this place is. We stumbled upon it but are spending three nights. The campsite is spacious with easy pull-through access. Full hookups and 30A/50A power. Gate and campground hosts are very friendly and helpful. We had no reservations, yet the lady worked to find us a perfect spot. Highly recommended! We camped at Plymouth Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Walmart is an easy 10 minute drive. If you're up for more, you can hit Costco about 30 miles away. Get your diesel in Oregon since it seems to be about $.30 cheaper per gallon.

Rock Creek RV Park, Twin Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

It's located at 900 Addison just south of the entrance to Rock Creek Park. First come, first serve but we had no trouble finding a spot. It's quiet and peaceful and the grounds are well cared for. We had 50A service and a lovely view of the stream. There are nice paved walkways around the park and it's close to shopping and restaurants. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Burns Run West, Cartwright, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

For $10 a night, you will be hard pressed to find as nice a spot anywhere. We had full hookups and more than ample space between us and the next site. This was a pull-thru site that was probably about 80 ft long, level and concrete with an extended concrete patio. Lake Texhoma is beautiful and even with the hotter temps of July, it was comfortable thanks to the breeze coming off the lake. The park was clean, quiet and a much better value than the State Park just across the lake. We camped at Burns Run West in a Fifth Wheel.

Shenandoah Valley Campground, Mount Jackson, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice compact but spacious park right off 81S in Mt. Jackson, VA. It takes less than 5 minutes to reach once you exit the freeway. Sites are spacious with good spacing between sites and the grounds are well kept. The campground hosts are very nice and seem to really work hard to make your stay pleasant. Our site was pretty level and full hookups are in a good spot. The camp store and grill looks very nice with a good selection of items on the menu and with very reasonable prices. I'd give this one a thumbs up. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
