Emerald Desert RV Resort, Palm Desert, California

Date of Stay: November, 2007 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The rumors of this Park's demise are greatly exaggerated! Due to the poor real estate market, the park was not replaced by condos as originally planned, and it is still as nice of a campground as you will find anywhere. We camped at Emerald Desert RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course, Borrego Springs, California

Date of Stay: January, 2007 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful desert resort surrounded by the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. The staff was very friendly, they even escorted us to our site. The campground is very new and clean, I believe it is just over a year old. They had a tennis court and mineral hot springs. Our rate was for a premium site with a golf course view. Since the campground is new, it did lack shade which was fine in the winter, but would make it tough in the summer. The wifi was free, although the wifi and cable didn’t work very well our first night. It worked great afterwards – they must have fixed some things. We really liked this place. We camped at The Springs at Borrego RV Resort and Golf Course in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a first class resort with beautiful grounds and amenities. A portion of the campground and most of the golf course has been removed for condo development, but the remainder is still very nice. The wifi has been removed, but our Verizion coverage worked well, often broadband coverage. We camped at Emerald Desert RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve, Santee, California

Date of Stay: January, 2007 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This a wonderful park. Large sites, some right on the lake. We stayed in the new section. The vegetation needs to grow a little more in this area, but the sites were very large, nice and level, and included a table. Friendly staff. The wifi was free, but was a little inconsistent, fast at times and then disappears. We camped at Santee Lakes Recreation Preserve in a Fifth Wheel.
