Halibut Campground, Anchor Point, Alaska

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

A small campground with clean pit toilets and back in spaces. Located at the end of Anchor Point on Cook Inlet. Lots and lots of eagles congregate on the treetops and down on the beach as the tide starts going out. We camped at Halibut Campground in a Motorhome.

Watching the eagles is wonderful. There's also a tractor that pulls boats across the beach in and out of the water to launch them. I would definitely return here.

There's a huge grass runway where you can run your dog. They have a WiFi hotspot but it's terribly slow - almost useless except for email, and that's also very very slow. Electricity provided by generator. Beautiful campground. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Motorhome.

It is very close to the beach. These are new owners.

The resort is a half block from the ocean. There are mostly permanent residents here. It's very quiet. No laundry or restrooms at this location. There was an extra $10 charge for our dog. Dogs can go on the beach after 6 p.m. But must be on leash, although we saw many who were not We camped at Flaggs RV Resorrt in a Motorhome.

Lazy-A Campground, Inwood, West Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We were the only campers in this gem overnight stay. The campsites are in a huge grassy field with water and electricity hook-ups. Dump and dumpster at the entrance. We spent part of our evening under a covered patio type protection attached to a huge old (1800) barn, because of a tornado alert and then a thunderstorm alert. We were able to pull our Class B RV in under shelter in case of hail (there was none, but a huge rain).

The showers have plush carpets in front of the stalls. Spotless washrooms. And the campground is on a creek. We camped at Lazy-A Campground in a Motorhome.

There's a lake for fishing and a pool. It's a very large park where you can hardly see your neighbor. We would definitely return. We stayed in the Oakgrove loop section. Bushy loop also looked great.
