Indian Rock RV Resort, Jackson, New Jersey

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

I've seen actual trailer parks that were better. Owners act as though they are doing you a favor letting you stay in their park. A laundry list of rule in small print, which they do not enforce for their 'special' friends. Costly compared with the other parks in the area, 750$/mth. New internet system which crashes frequently, and when it is up it is lousy. No cable connection and the park is covered in tree, preventing ANY satellite signal (don't let the dishes you see fool you, they don't work). Run down facilities that feel dingy. Everything needs at least some paint and repairs. If you complain about anything the owner will be banging on your door asking why you are being unreasonable, even if your complain is back be 3 other people around you. None of the utility connections are in standard places. Bring ALOT of hose to make RV connections. None of sewer pipes screw in so they have no seal. All over horrible place that caters to noisy offensive guests. Stayed here until my month was out and moved down the street. Every place in the area is better. When I checked out they charged me 170$ for a month of electricity, even though I turn everything, AC included, off during the day while I am at work; and I was away for 2 of the weekends. They did not have an accurate starting reading on the meter and took the last reading from whomever was in the slot before me, which was 2 months prior to my arrival. We camped at Indian Rock RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC), College Park, Maryland

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This place is great. I travel for work and use my RV to stay in, so I've been to many parks short and long term. This was great. Great value considering it's next to DC. The only place you should stay at if you want to see DC. The bus stop is at the park and will bring you right to the metro to go into the city. Super clean and very nice people; ALL of them. Terrific facilities and they are always improving things. Pools, function halls, cafe, everything you want is here. They can accommodate any RV and and tent group. We camped at Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

It's a quick train ride to Washington DC or 20 minutes by car. Baltimore is 30 minutes up the highway. Every type of store and eatery is nearby. 2 miles from Univ. of Maryland.
